Terrible service experience. Took my car to get maintenance, and service advisor tells me that theyll check for a recall. My vehicle (Optima 2015) has a recall for a defect that can result in the engine catching fire (lookup Kia recall SC212). When they finish doing the work, advisor doesnt tell me anything related to the recall. Later that week I get a voicemail saying that my parts have arrived and that I need to schedule another appointment. Since then I have yet to be able to contact anyone to confirm that they still have the parts and that I can come in and get it installed. No interest in going there and being told they dont have the parts. If I call service they send me to parts and then parts sends me to service. Now Im stuck in a loop in trying to get someone to confirm I should go in to get the parts installed. I re-checked my service order and it says that parts related to the recall were ordered (which again the service advisor didnt tell me when I was at the dealership in person). Would like to get this resolved rather than wait any longer for my car to catch fire.

I would like to start with a hello but no, I am really upset with the customer service that the service area has, specifically Cesar. I have about a month that I took my 2010 kia soul for a sensor and it turns out that now it is the alternator of the car, when it was only a sensor and they never told me that it had mechanical problems. Im very upset, do you know who is the manager of that dealer?
I take my vehicle to this dealership for all my vehicle maintenance and always receive excellent customer service, this time was not the case. i had to physically enter the building to get service. The assistant manager was extremely nonchalant when i told him issues with my vehicle so i then proceeded to ask to speak with a manager (Rodney). His exact words were “i’ll see what i can do”. At about 30 minutes of me waiting in my vehicle i proceeded to search for a manager myself and had to get a manager from sales to find him. Long story short i was given the run around on why my warranty would not cover an issue that was completely not my fault. They are very dishonest and they will never receive any business from me ever again.

I needed maintenance done on my car and waited two weeks for my scheduled appointment. When I showed up, I was told that the technicians don’t do appointments after 1600 and don’t know why I was given an appointment at that time. This is totally unacceptable. An establishment this big should not be making these mediocre mistakes.

This is my first visit to Kia Chula Vista. Took my 2020 Kia Forte GT to get help replacing the entire transmission! Once the parts came in, they were able to work really fast and got the car ready next day for pickup! Bad experience with the manager in charge of my sale. First he harrasses you to purchase a car he claims he hasnt seen yet which was in horrible shape, full of scratches. Second, he lies very clearly to your face about doing a soft pull credit check, but which was in fact a hard pull! He lies to his employees as well as my sales representative was confused about the hard pull. Shame on this location.
This was the first time I brought my car to this Kia service center. They were very courteous, accommodating and professional. They called multiple times to give me an update and even a few days after the service to check in. I really appreciated their high level of customer care.
I was interested in payment pricing in a Kia Telluride. I went to their website and this was my experience:- every button (eg payment calculator & calculate your payment) pressed on their website required me to input my personal information- when I input my personal information to calculate payments it asked my preference for communicating and I selected email- I received an email asking for a phone call, but that I’d get the same great customer service by email- I replied that I’d prefer email and requested again payment info for a telluride- I refreshed my email to find another email about my inquiry from a different person- Within minutes I got a phone call from your dealership & a text message- I replied to the email detailing my experience and asking for potential payment info again & got a reply that not only didn’t acknowledge my previous email, but said I needed to physically come in to get that info.Disappointing all around.

My first service trip to this Kia for a diagnositc issue that popped (followed by the check engine light remaining lit.Amazing service. Super friendly! Fixed the issue, free of charge and gave the car a nice bath on top of it all.So happy I live close to this Kia and id recommend them to anyone!!
Since I bought my car here a year ago, I have serviced my car here a few times. It took them 2 times of dropping off my car before they figured out the tire pressure situation. Because of this I was offered a free regular maintenance on my next time in and they told me it would be noted on my account.So, I finally had the chance to schedule my maintenance, and it was not free. In fact, there was no note on my account, and when the manager Ruben was called by the staff I was checking out with, he claimed he already spoke to me and told me I would be charged. Which never happened. He was just blowing smoke to his staff, I never spoke to Ruben. Alex was the only person I spoke to when I dropped off my car. Again frustrated!I love my car, but not sure if I want people who are not customer friendly working on it.

We had a bad experience. We left our car there and for two weeks no one (whenever they answered the phone) knew what was the status of our car.They said they would call us back but never did. My son had to drive there to inquire. They told him the car would be ready the next day. No one called.By then it had been 9 days. Again we called. They said they would call back but never did. I finally left a stern message with the service manager, he called the next day and said the car was ready

I use to go here for services,, but a few experiences have me going somewhere else.A few issues that would have been solved with better communication between employees and departments.I will say that oil changes were fast but I would go there for anything but that.

I dont know for what reason the service and the company dont want to fix my car, its a optima kia 2016 i have 50k miles and its burning a lot oil, the engine its really bad burning more than 3 lts every 1k miles and no body can help me whit my problem, i dont know how is lie to me the guys of the service o the corporate, for me its bad, bad service.Mi opinion its never never buy KIA its a trash cars. Im still waiting for one solution.

It was an great experience. They answered every one of our questions with a lot of patience an incredible attitude. Jadon and Ryan were amazing, and the manager ( I think his name was Abel) was incredibly helpful. We went there for some information and a test drive, but left (HAPPILY) with a Kia Seltos SX Turbo.
Luis A. was very attentive from first interaction and when we got there. He was detailed and addressed any concern I had.The dealer was clean and other employees were very nice as well.The major difference we felt with Luis A. and this experience of purchasing a car is we didnt feel we were left alone for long periods of time. We received many updates of the status of the process and was always checked on.

Not the greatest experience 😥 very dissapointed at KIA staff. Lease ends in early March. We tried doing a trade after contract about to end and Willing to jump on another new contract and rookie sales guy was clueless. Regret going on a sunday so understaff. We were told to Wait until contract end date. Week and half away.😥👎 also the Building is going through remodeling phase and everybody cramped up in the ford area. Cant wait to go back turn in car and go to a different dealer..👎

When I bought my Kia Forte I got ripped off. Never trade in a car and then they made me take on a warranty that i did not need in order to get the car. They took advantage that I was in a desperate situation. My beamer busted. Then I brought it in for a noise they wouldnt check the engine area and then I went a little above the warranty expiration of a few miles the paint is coming off! So what if it was a new used car!

I dont know what has happened to the service department but I will no longer be taking my vehicles there. Not only has the service gone down but the prices went up and they even charged me a convince fee for using my card. Not only have the lost me as a service customer but Im not going to purchase vehicles there either.
The service team was courteous and fast. They offer free shuttle if you need to leave your car. They promised my car would be done the same day and it was.
I did not like my experience at Kia Services in Chula Vista at all. I brought my 2013 Kia Optima in for a simple service fixed, not ever having any problems with the car. They kept the car in for 2days and then instead of calling me, they texted me two problems that needed to be fixed of over 1000k along to or up to maybe 10 recommendations which would have brought the bill up to over 3k or less when I was expecting to only spend close to $500.00. The service office showed no sympathy nor at all expressed any desire to explain the 2 problems or the recommendations that they recommended but by text messaging only so therefore I called triple A to come pick up the car. Paid them the $140.00 for the diagnosis sheet however, they removed the 2 diagnosis codes from the diagnosis sheets that I paid for which I found wired. Also, they removed all of the text messaging that they sent me explaining the problems and recommendations. Wow... I will never go back to any Kia Service center again.
I have been coming Kia Chula Vista for years. Even through the name changes, the service I receive has always been great. I drive a little out of my way to go to this Kia because I can always get an appointment on the weekend and they have me in and out in a reasonable amount of time so that I can enjoy the rest of my day.The prices are kind of what youd expect from a dealership but I am also paying for peace of mind. I never have to worry if they are doing it right. They also dont try to upsell me other services unless I absolutely need them. I feel good about saying that I trust them to tell me what I need for my car. The waiting room is small and comfortable and they always have coffee when I get there in the AM. Great service. Great people. No complaints.
Seriously? I had an appointment to have the work done AT 9AM. It is now 4 1/2 HOURS LATER AND NOT DONE YET. I have things I need to do today which didnt include a 5 hour oil change. Cant even get a response back. SMH. 👎 I have usually had had good and prompt service here. So I finally got a hold of someone and I was told that even though I made an appointment that anyone else that didnt have an appointment and chose to wait in the waiting room comes first before me with an appointment. When I expressed how unfair that is I was hung up on. I was told my car would take 1 1/2 hours and almost 5 hours later all they do is hang up on me. There is some serious need for some customer service skills. Vivian is the worst service adviser Ive ever dealt with in my entire life. Thats not how you treat a long time customer that has purchased 2 brand new cars there. There will not be a 3rd one. Thats for sure.

I got a flat tire the PetSmart next door to the Penske Kia dealership. I unfortunately did not have a tire iron with me so I walked over to the service section at the dealership. A mechanic name Shawn was kind enough to drive me back to my car with the tool I needed, free of charge. After he put on the spare for me, he let me know I could patch my old tire for only twenty bucks. He was extremely friendly and helpful and got me back on the road in no time. The dealership is in the process of changing its name but I would suggest the service center to anyone. Ask for Sean and hell give you some local fishing tips as well. Thanks again

Bought a car from them a year ago, I continue to visit them to service it. Their service advisors are good, their prices are reasonable for a dealer, and they meet their quoted turnaround times.
Ozzy was great. Penske had the exact model and color we wanted. Worked with Ozzy and Mike from sales and I feel like they got us a pretty smoking deal on a 2018 Optima SX.
My car was supposed to have a diagnostic on Thursday didn’t hear back from them I call leave a message and no one returns my call. Then comes Friday someone answers and says the diagnostic went fine so the problem Must have Been internal so they were running more tests to figure it out and I would receive a call back with the hour to know the status. They never called back. Now here sat and they aren’t even answering their phones.I shouldn’t have to Uber to the dealership to get a status on my vehicle. Heck when I first called the woman couldn’t even tell me if my car was under warranty I have to call another dealership.Veryyyyy unprofessional!

Horrible service. Do not come here. Go to any other Kia dealership in San Diego. There is problems all the time. No one can answer the phone. Also brought my car in over a week ago for service and they didn’t even do there job. Didn’t check my car and after I got my car back there were issues. Horrible service and customer service. The service techs are rude, immature, not knowledgeable, and if you ask them for help they get all defensive and do not want to help you. Treat there customers bad. They hide information from you and do not want to tell you what is going on with your car. Overall bad service. Everyone that reads this post take your service to anyone else.
I’ve been taking my car to Penske for 2 years now since I started my lease. The team is always helpful and provide great customer service. As you wait for your service to get completed, they have refreshments, coffee, free WiFi and tv to spend your time. Once I had an incident where the service wasn’t complete, they acted and assisted according to meet my needs. The last time I received service, I was on a strict time frame and they were able to accommodate my needs more than anticipated.

Not happy At all I barely have two weeks of getting my car back from getting it fix and it’s not working but yet when it came to me paying they were calling me calling me.
I bought a KIA Borrego a few years ago, it was having an intermittent electrical ignition switch problem that for some reason the dealer could not find even with their computer hooked on several occasions. I was left stranded on the road several times and the vehicle even stall while driving on the freeway. I finally took it to a mechanic in Tijuana and was able to repair the issue for less than $100. At that point Ive lost my love and confidence for KIA that I sold the vehicle. No more KIA for me.
I prefer to reserve my comments. I wouldnt buy at this dealer never again.-Samuel Rosario is the only one that made me feel like an important customer.

I purchased a Kia here in 2016. I was told things that are not true when I purchase the car and have had several issues with the car ever since. Last Friday they sent me into the world with a drained battery and my car died at a traffic light and put my life and others lives in danger. The driver door and passenger door would not stay open at a 90 and 60 degree angle I have been going back and forth between the dealership for 2 and 1/2 years. Now they are finally about to fix the problem with the door. I do not recommend buying car from these people they lie their service is horrible.

Had a good experience all around. Danny Reynoso was our salesman and he was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Hugo was our finance guy and offered fast and friendly service in getting our paperwork done too. This is our 3rd vehicle from this Kia dealer(previously Fuller).

Took my Kia in for a recall they took care of the problem right away and serviced my car and checked my tires and even washed my car. They took good care of me as a Kia owner.
I just bought my car a month ago, and unfortunately got a flat. I call the service department to schedule a drop-off and Jasmine tells me they can see me Friday, Saturday or Monday at 7am. I originally tell her lets do it for Monday at 7am because I work both Friday or Saturday all day, but after asking her whether someone else could drop it off and pick it up, I ask her to change it to Saturday at 7am. She says it has been changed, and she will have one of the service providers call me because she couldnt answer the question of how many miles can I drive after using the fix a flat?? You would think theyd be well aware since the newer Kia models dont have a spare tire!!!I hang up with her quite frustrated because I have to wait until Saturday to get my tire fixed, and nobody could tell me how many miles I can still use the car. I need my car to get to and from work, and Im most likely going to have to take a Lyft....(an expense I wasnt counting on), and then my appointment email comes in with Monday at 7am. ?!?!??!I call back, and now the other operator tells me that the Saturday appointment is no longer available!!! What?!?!?! I was just told 2 minutes ago that I would be seen Saturday at 7am!!! Well, because Jasmine did not make the change on the computer, now it had been given to someone else, and all they could say was Im so sorry for the miscommunication. Miscommunication?!?!?! How about not paying attention to what shes doing??? I tell her that I was very upset because I was told that they would be able to take my car then, and she just didnt want to hear it, so she goes on and asks me, is there anything else I can assist you with? Wow!!! Talk about disregarding the frustration that the client is feeling over a mistake THEY made!!!!My purchase experience was wonderful, but now that I think about having to deal with this for the next couple years.....I regret ever buying at that dealer. All of this is only over a flat tire.... No customer service skills at all!In the meantime no phone call ever from the service person, I have to wait until Monday, meaning I have to spend extra money on a Lyft for the next couple of days, and whats worse....they dont care!!

Felt threatened by the staff, trusted them not to run my credit and they did as shown in the pictures telling me they weren’t going to. Enrique and his supervisor told me it’s not their issue and their general manager left the building to avoid talking to me and never received a call back from him. If I were to purchase a Kia I’d purchase from Kia in mile of cars. Never finished my purchase due to the circumstances.

If I could give 0 stars I would, first thing happened when me and my sister went in to buy a car, we were set on a car and we were trying to negotiate the price since we gave a big down payment, Rene was the one selling us the car and as we were in his office talking the sales manager comes in saying there’s another girl that wants to test drive the car which was a TOTAL LIE, my friend was outside waiting for us and she said she saw no one plus it was soo obvious they saw us young and first time car buyers they wanted to pressure us to get the car, It was so y comfortable and tacky, I was offended they thought I would fall for that lame attempt to pressure us to not negotiate, anyway we ended up getting an Altima 2017, 3 weeks after buying it the transmission failed, they fixed it and now 2 months later we have the same Issue with the transmission and since KIA in Chula Vista is no longer a Penske We called and they literally washed their hands and left us with a 23K + car that is a lemon and they just told us to go to another Penske or Nissan, they are the worst and Rene is fake and doesn’t care about what happened as long as he gets a sale. I am really dissapointed and have been struggling with rentals and towing because their negligence and selling me a bad car. Stay away from this people.
I would like for you to recognize John Dalberiste and his staff service writers for top customer service. I moved from Ball Kia about 2 years ago to Fuller Kia now know as Penske Kia due to excellent customer service. John always finds away to make you feel at home and takes care of my 2012 Kia EX(K5)Optima. His Kia service writers are tops too! I also like to include mechanic tech Gabriel for his hard work in keeping Kia cars running great! he sure is a customer service person! Please let the CEO Chula Vista Penske Kia know of this as sometimes the big boss never gets the commits customers leave about their experience.
