They checked them out & told her she still had more than 40% left on the pad. They cleaned them & blew away the brake dust. They saved her over $250. Superior does great work & they are very honest. They won’t tell you that you need repairs or maintenance if your vehicle doesn’t need it. I’ve been going to them for years.

Sam at Superior has worked on 3 of my familys cars. I use to use Teds Garage but there service in the office has gone down terribly and they are not easy to work with.Sam and his team are honest and fix what needs to be fixed and make true recommendations as to future maintenance that may be needed. Pricing is similar to Teds but front office is way better and all work is done right.Will be staying with Sam and his team!!!

Superior Automotive Repair is the best independent car repair shop in the San Diego area. Since I found them on a reference in 2008 they have always balanced the health of my cars against the health of my budget. European, American, vintage, custom, they do it all in a retro open air shop. Don’t go for the lounge and TV - it’s not there. Drop off your car and it will be fixed per your feedback on their diagnosis. Never a disappointment.

Having brake problems. Went to a Honda dealer twice with no resolution. Juan listened, said hed take a look and give me a quote. He did as he said he would. Fixed the problem. Now I have a new, honest, reliable mechanic.

Don’t go here. They claimed to be very good with what they do? However took over 2 months, seems that they never touched the car unless I was there or calling. Caliper that THEY INSTALLED fell off while I was driving. Wheel bearing replaced and is already really bad not even a year later! labor done by them I paid them for all of this mind you. Lots of money for all of this to be done- after having someone do this work you wouldn’t really expect it to fall off from bolts not being tightened now would you? Don’t spend your money here! Take it toTHE PROFESSIONALS

Own a 2007 Mazda3 and just hit 253,000 mile mark! Its thanks to Sam and the rest of the crew there for the awesome work they do. Most honest and best customer service guys out there. I dont trust anyone else with my car but them. You cant go wrong!

So I had my clutch replaced less than a year ago by these guys and I left on deployment, came back and started having trouble with the clutch not wanting to engage properly so I took it back to them to check it out. The slave cylinder had a small leak in it and because it was still under warranty they went ahead and fixed the whole thing free of charge. They did it quickly, efficiently, and were very professional. Both times Ive been at this shop I feel like the owner, Sam, and all of his employees really care to give you the best quality product that they can. Id recommend this shop to anyone.

I had an oil leak, I no longer have an oil leak. They were very friendly and professional. They found items that they suggested could use attention, but there was zero pressure to take any extra service. Its a great place if you want to steer clear of dealerships.

The workers here are amazing and knowledgeable! I’m lucky I found them while I was staying at a air b n b near by. They worked on my Audi A4 for a battery replacement and told me about items that needed to be taken care of ASAP that my other automotive repair didn’t mention to me! My transmission service!I have been through the dealership and European specialty auto repair shops and I will now do all of my services here with Sam and his team. Do not hesitate to take your car to these people they know what they are doing and they do not take advantage of you.

Sam has always been an up front and honest mechanic. Always tell you what is necessary or recommended and never pushes for anything to get done. He informs of situation of your vehicle and let’s you decide what you want to get done. Price is very fair for the work performed. Not over it under priced.I’ve never felt like I’m being “sold”. Honesty and mechanics is not something you hear in the same sentence much. But it certainly fits with Sam.

I purchased a 94 F150 that needed a handful of issues that needed to be resolved before driving the truck 450 miles to hand over to my father. The truck needed a Rear Main Seal, Oil Pan Gasket, Motor Mount, Front Brake Pads and few optional items like Front Fuel Sending Unite and a Fuel Filter. Derrick and team were very professional, understanding, courteous, fair, responsive, honest and very knowledgeable. This is a place to take your vehicles for service without being up-sold on something that you do not need.

Friendly work on my wheel alignment and it drive fine, what I did like was they inspect and tell me what I needed to maintain on my car and what other things that be needed done later on.

Superior automotive repair fixed my trucks suspension and made it ride like new again. I was so frustrated with the ride quality and was ready to sell the truck after having multiple shops attempt repairs. Superior automotive fixed my truck for a very reasonable price and were professional and communicative.

I will never go here again. It was my first and last time. My oil pan needed a new drain plug and oil change. When I went to pick it up, instead of a $50 bill, they tried charging me $167!! That was for the oil change, a $5 plug for which they tried to charge $13 and a shocking $107 for labor. Sam had told me hed call with any estimates and he did not. Last time I checked, an oil change included reinstalling the drain plug. Dont trust these guys.

Front end work on vette went very well. Install of new shocks make a difference on handling. High speed balance also reduced vibration but there is still some at 80 mph plus. Thanks

I had called in because my jeep was having problems. After going to a friend of a friend I decided to call in and see if maybe something else was going on with the jeep. Derrick who knows about jeeps automatically told me that the guy I went to didnt know what he was talking about, so I took the car in to their shop. Within 2 days they were able to repair my jeep and now it runs better than it did before. They treated me with professionalism and got the job done. I will be returning to them if I ever have any problems with my jeep again because I know I can trust them.

The brakes in our car mostly stopped working while returning home from vacation in Mexico, this was the closest place to stop for repairs. It was near closing time, and they still treated us like family to make sure we were taken care of as soon as possible. I would highly recommend using their service! A co-worker referred me to Superior Automotive several months ago and I finally called last week to see if they could do some work on my 1966 Ford Mustang. Steven answered the phone and told me they could do the work and I was welcome to bring my car in anytime.My first issue with my Mustang was a broken clutch linkage. I had a few more minor things that I wanted to do as well and explained this to Steven and Sam. They ensured me they could do the work. Im not the most mechanically inclined individual so I figured the clutch alone would cost me a pretty penny.Two hours after I had dropped off my mustang, Sam called me and said the clutch was fixed. Sam explained that the clutch was an easy fix and once again ensured me that my car was in good hands. While on the phone, I asked him to do a few more things to my car while it was at the shop. I had already figured it would take several days to get my car back and I was in no hurry, so why not. Sam let me know he could do everything that I wanted except for one thing. Well, Sam actually said he could do it, but said it might be a little timely and he had somebody that he could refer me to.I received a call each day my mustang was in the shop by either Steven or Sam updating me on the progress of my car.When I went to pick up my mustang yesterday, I was not only shocked, but pleasantly surprised when I received my incoivce for the services I had completed. I had expected to pay 3 times the amount that I was charged and had budgeted that much just for the clutch.At different times, Steven and Sam both thanked me for allowing them to service my car. I appreciated the pleasantries, but I was the one truly thankful for the quality of work, cost of the work and the customer service I received.I truly feel I have found a mechanic/ shop that I trust and will continue to use them for all my automotive service needs.While I was on my way out, a service technician let me know that he felt the idle on my car was too high. I agreed with him and he said he would adjust it real quick and he did. The technician was very friendly and told me some things about my car that I didnt know. During our conversation, we found that we were both Veterans and had both spent some time in Iraq. Took my car in for an oil change, not only were the guys professional and quick but very informative about what to pay attention to for my cars next service. Before going in for the oil change I called 5 other shops in Chula Vista for prices, Superior Automotive was the ONLY ONE out of the 5 that took the time to look up what type of oil my car uses without asking... satisfied with their customer service! I have been taking all my family vehicles (six total) to Superior Automotive for many years because of three critical considerations....maintenance and repair expertise, exemplary customer service and honesty and integrity. I and my family members have always been treated fairly and respectfully by Sam, the owner, and all of his mechanics, Brian, Marco and others. Let’s face it, maintaining your own vehicle, let alone those of all your family members, is far from a fun thing to do, especially for those of us (me included) who are much less than auto mechanically knowledgeable and inclined. However, since we “have to do what we have to do”, it is wonderful to have access to a company that you absolutely know you can trust in a field that is not reknown for trustworthiness. While looking for a mechanic to work on my ‘new to me’ used VW Eurovan Camper my Toyota mechanic steered me to Main St and Superior Automotive. While waiting for help I watched Sam explain the extensive work he had done for a young lady and I liked what I heard.After a brief conversation with Sam, Marcos took my treasure for a test drive, hooked my van up to a machine, added Freon and tested for leaks.I now have great air conditioning for under $100 and a new mechanic. I will be back.

Great customer service, professional and very friendly. Took care of my front end alignment very quickly. I had just replaced ball joints, and all front linkage but not the control arm bushings. After the alignment the mechanic took the time to show me the worn control arm bushings. No pressure to get the repairs done. I asked for an estimate and one was prepared within minutes. I have been looking for a repair shop close to my home for a while and I was always disappointed. I am sure I found some place I can trust to do the repairs that I don’t want to do at a price that makes it worth having the work done.

I took my 2004 Jeep for maintenance for the first time after buying it in a used cars dealership. There was a lot to be done to the car, but Sam was excellent at letting me know in advance all the bad news and also advicing what needed to be done immediately and what could wait a bit longer. Really happy with the service and I am going to bring my cars here from now on
