I made an appointment for 10 am on Sunday for the installation of four new tires, and an alignment. The check-in was very easy and the friendliness and professionalism of the employees was excellent. All of the work was completed in a timely manner and the check-out and pick up of my vehicle was very easy. I was never contacted and pushed to do unnecessary work on my vehicle. I commend the Sears Auto Center team for their great work on my vehicle and thank them for treating me and my family with respect and truly as valued customers. We will definitely return in the future!
OK is the best way to describe my experience. The cashiers are awesome friendly and informative. They are no pushy but are honest. Reason for 3 stars is the service was slow. They said 1.5 hr but it was more like 2.5. If you want to shop and leave it its a good place to go. Just be prepared to wait longer than they said. Our car was left with dirt spots on the side panel and seat.
I’ve gotten a few oil changes here before without much problem. They are always slow, 1-2 hours for an oil change even with appointment, but it’s not easy to mess up an oil change right? Wrong. This last time was the last time. They took 1.5 hours to change my oil (with appointment) only for me to find out the next morning that my undercarriage cover wasn’t screwed on and was dragging on the road. I had to get under the car and duct tape the cover so I could drive to work. I called them that morning to let them know I’d be stopping by in the afternoon so they could replace the screws. Despite knowing I was coming, they didn’t order the screws until I got there. It took over an hour just to install half a dozen screws. And they didn’t even use the right ones. They used whatever screws were laying around that sort of fit. They wasted my time and damaged my property. Definitely not going back.
Came to balance tires at 8:30AM on Thursday. Was told 2 hours. After 2 hours my car havent moved from parking lot. When I inquired how much longer it will take, they said more than 30 minutes for sure. There were only couple customers in front of me and one customer after me in the lobby during whole time. I couldnt wait any longer and had to leave. 40 minutes of commute, gas, and 2 hours of waiting is wasted. I wouldnt come back for free tire balance as it will be cheaper to pay full price to reputable tire shop near me to do the job. Its a shame because Christina and other lady up front were really great on customer service to start with. Thats the only reason I am adding one star.
I would have rated a 0 star, if possible. We needed a oil change so my husband called and asked when the latest we can bring the car by, the person over the phone told him to bring it by 6:30. When we arrived they told my husband they wont take the car and that its to late. They dont close until 8. I understand that other cars come and then because they were first they obviously are helped first and become priority. But they shouldnt be saying we can take your car, then when we drive there and arrive, then they cant.
Been coming here for 7+ years. You dont have to worry about upsales, shoddy work, cons or any other headaches. No issues with their work. Ive spent a lot of money here, and other places. This is the only place I feel I get my moneys worth. Plus Carlos is top tier customer service.
Weve always taken both our Jeeps here. Never an issue. Carlos (and one other gentleman) has always gone out of his way to take care of our Jeeps as he understands the importance of having safe transportation for our family. Some times are busier than others, but always worth the wait. We have had a few urgent repairs between the two, and struggle financially as a family of 5... But my family couldnt be better taken care of or more grateful. Thank you Sears!!
Had a 1:00 PM appointment for an oil change. Arrived 20 minutes early to get paperwork started. Turned over the keys at 12:45. The Truck was not put on a rack until 2. Took all of 20 Minutes to actually do the job. What good is having an appointment if you have to wait for over an hour just to start the job.
Went in with damage to a tire needing replaced that was under warranty/ roadside insurance. The tire was in the trunk and my spare was on the vehicle. I explained this to the guy at the desk, and thought all was well. Two and a half hours later, I got charged for a new tire because the tire was more than 20% worn. On top of that they gave me my keys while my vehicle was still in the port. When I asked someone about it, he very rudely told me to back it up myself. Mind you, I am holding a 2 year old at the time. Totally rude. And then to top it all off... I get home to find out they changed the wrong tire! My damaged tire is still in the trunk of my car and my spare tire is missing. Good job Sears.
Great to see all the families participating and having a great time together. And the music was wonderful.
Christina and her team was super helpful and very accomodating. Ordered some tires from Amazon and ordered the install service through Sears Chula Vista. Long story short, Amazon botched up the order, but Sears made everything right and provided excellent customer service and got my tires installed ASAP. Highly recommend these folks! A+!
This store has gone down hill...avoid it. I only give it one star because I have no choice. I had appointment and took 30 minutes just to check in only to be told that I needed new tires as well. I told the staff, Angel, that I had been getting my tires there for years and he looked up my information and told me that I paid $800 for my last tires. I told him theres no way I would ever pay $800 for tires. He printed out my last receipt and held it up in my face and said here it is withdrawn from your Visa card. I was absolutely shocked. I carefully looked over the receipt he forced in my face and showed him that I had several hundred dollars worth of other stuff done that day and he said it doesnt matter because tires go up and I would be paying $800 today. it was as if he did not want me to get my tires from him or even be in his store and at this point I was probably there a good 40 minutes and my original appointment was just for an oil change. I was so insulted by this bad behavior I just left the store. It makes me sad because Ive been getting my tires at Sears as well as all my childrens tires at Sears for years and years since I was a kid. Im done with this place. The major store down the street quoted me 575 for Bridgestone and the other tire places on Broadway in Chula Vista even quoted me less so I dont understand why this person Angel was clearly trying to scam me.
If I could give Sears 0 stars I would. They put the wrong size tires on my car and I dealt with flats and inner wall damage until I finally bought all new tires.... again... from a better place. Called Sears for months for a refund and an employee stole my credit card information. Total trash dont waste your time or money
Love coming here! great service great price
I went in today at 1:30 to have a slow leak in a tire repaired. The customer waiting room had a TV with programs only in Spanish playing.I waited in the showroom for 2 hours. Then I decided to walk around and see how the job was going. I found my car sitting in the parking lot - after waiting 2 hours.Nobody ever told me that the car was done. I waited in line to go up to a service desk and was given the bill for $22. I asked why nobody told me when the car was finished, and the reply was When we are busy, we dont call the customers. What crap!I checked the service ticket, and the car was finished at 2:31. I was left sitting for an hour for nothing! When I got in my car, I checked the odometer. There were 2 miles put on my car. The parking lot is beside the service center.I was told to go there by a friend, but I will never go back, and I will warn others.Go anywhere but Sears for car service!
I actually never got to talk to a service person. I waited for an hour in line because they have 24 month financing without interest. When I was getting close to getting waited on, 2, 3 or 4 new people would came in with appointments. I though, its fair. These people took the time to make an appointment and I didnt. After an hour I walked out, got home and tried to make a appointment but found that I was only able to do this for service not for tire purchase.I tried to chat with someone about the financing but he wrote that I should call a number he gave me.When I called this number, the person had no idea what I was talking about and told me I had to go to the store. I waited a couple of hours and went back to the store but there were more people in line than the first time so I walked out again.I went in a third time, and there was no one in line. The problem is that the store was to close in about half an hour and no one came to speak to me.I drove to the store 3 times and 3 times I had to walk out because of terrible service. Their prices are more expensive than other places so the reason to go there is the service and the financing.Too bad, I will have to get my tires somewhere else and only get 6 months free financing. I would rather do this than wait for hours to see a sales person.
Fast service. Good prices.
The battery service was fantastic. In and out. I talked to the staff about their rating on Google and my apprehension of bringing my car in. They are really working to change their reputation and it showed.Side Note: Your mileage may vary depending on the time you bring your vehicle in for service. I went in first thing in the morning (8 AM) and I was very well received. If you come in during peak hours, of course, your wait will be long and your expectations should be managed. This is Sears and they service a lot of folks.I received great service and Ill be going back.
I called in to get pricing and spoke to Carlos...he asked if he could call me back...I asked if he was really going to call me back..he insured me he would....low and behold he didnt and now Sears has lost my business as well as any type of recomendation I was going to give! Thanks for the great customer service!
Long Lines. . . first time, last time I will ever go here. Employees walking back and forth and nobody can help. No sense of urgency for the customers. Waited 40mins just to be told it was a 3hr wait time for a basic oil change. Not to mention people there who also made so called appointment times still waiting just as long. Would not recommend this place.
How can I tell you how horrible the service is. It is not just recent but has been going on for some time. My best recommendation is that they close it immediately. The manager Victor is inept and unable to communicate properly. I thought it was just me but after seeing the atrocious ratings they got. I felt compelled to share my own experience. If there was a lower rating I would give it to them.
Im so happy I decided to go to THIS auto center. Had my wheels aligned elsewhere and never was right. Tired of car pulling I visited the chula vista store. Not only did they fix the problem in like 20 minutes, the customer service was something i havent seen in 20 years. Mannie the service writer, victor the mechanic, along with Pedro another mechanic worked as a team and car is better than ever was. The manager..christine maybe??(blonde lady) I cant say enough about her. Top notch all the way. Guarantee ill be bring my wifes car and mine their for all future service. Im excited about my car again.
Great shop good prices for a car battery
Great customer service! They checked my battery and replaced it in 20 minutes! Very friendly and professional!
The only reason why Im giving this place a one star is because there is no -5 stars rating. We waited 2 hours to get told that brakes needed some work. We kindly refused to get them replace because it was too much money. The cashier mentioned that without fixing them at this moment it would be dangerous. So we got them replaced but took them 5 hours to do it. The cashier kept lying to us that it would only be 45 mins, 10mins, 15 mins. We would had never had come here if it was going to take so long. My wife is leaving me for work for 4 months and wanted to spend the day with her but we couldnt because of them. Never coming here again!
Love their tool selection
Ive scheduled appointments here and everythings been fine. They provide pretty normal service.
This place is a travesty. I bought a Groupon for an oil change, not the most technical job out there. I went in Saturday without an appointment and was scheduled up in a matter of minutes by Victor who told me it would be about an hour and a half wait. No worries, it is to be expected. My son and I watched the mechanics slogging along doing there best not to be fast in any way shape or form. At one point there was a loud KLANG! and some random washer or grommet came rolling out of one of the bays. Nobody bothered to retrieve it and as far as I know it is still laying there. After about an hour and twenty minutes this guy Enrique takes one step out the door and papers go flying in the wind. My son and I laughed for a few moments until I realized he was heading for us. Relax I tell myself. Anybody can fumble papers in the wind. This guy has a mechanic shirt on, he couldnt possibly be total buffoon. Yeaaah...sure. He managed to get my car on a lift and started draining the oil. From my vantage point I could clearly see the oil draining as he started to mess around with my oil filter housing. Before all the oil drained out he put the plug (bolt) back in and walked off. Fifteen minutes later he returns with three other mechanics. They are all vexed by my oil filter housing. Apparently they have never seen such marvels of modern technology because it never actually came off. In fact it is still there. After monkeying around for another half hour, Enrique loses interest, pulls out his phone and starts Facebooking and showing memes to another mechanic. He soon grows weary of this and goes into some break room either to hide or take his lunch, perhaps both. Twenty more minutes goes by and now I am livid. I go inside and speak to Carlos. Carlos seems to be the only person on site who has heard the term Customer Service. I explain (calmly) the situation and he is off like a flash. One minute later we are standing outside and he explains to me that my filter housing needs a special tool and they have to order it. I ask how long. Maybe and hour and a half. Mind you, we are more than three hours into this ordeal already. He walks away and returns two minutes later. They have to order the tool off Amazon. It wont be in until Tuesday. NEXT Tuesday. He then explains how I am going to have to wait until the tool comes in before the job can be completed. I couldnt help but ask WHEN EXACTLY was somebody going to tell me all this?!!? Right on cue Enrique shuffles out of his hiding spot, lowers my car and pulls it around back. Carlos takes me back inside and and begins doing damage control. Really not much he can do at this point except charge me for the filter (which is still in my back seat!) and books me an appointment for next Tuesday. He says something like Hook you up on a tire rotation next time and apologizes yet again. I asked if he was the manager and he made this funny face and said he definitely didt want to be responsible for those other guys. I cant blame him. At no point was there ever anybody who resembled a manager or authority figure to be found on site. I got my keys and headed for my car. Hopefully the next visit will go off without a hitch.
Great service, and reasonable pricing
Sears is horrible I have went there multiple times thinking that they would get better and better, but ill be waiting forever if I think that is going to happen. There customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life they will literally walk by you standing in line and not say a damn thing. You will sit there for hours so please dont have anything planned because you will be there the whole entire day and your stuff will want be fixed properly. This last incident just really blew it off the top I went to go and get my oil changed now this means I should be good until my next oil change so why am I on the way to work and I light pops on and want go off. Also this oil change was FREE only because they took so long last time this one was suppose to be on the house. Ugh I am just so fed up with Sears if you are looking for a reliable auto center this is not the place your looking for stay away. I wouldnt even send my worst enemy here. Thats just how bad it is. And they dont deserve any stars but I had to click one to at least post.
Always fresh and fast, thanks
Terriable service, i will never come here again. First of all they tired to hussel me because im a.female say my tires are baLd when they are fine. Secondly the wait took forever! I just didnt like the service
Terrible!I just wonder who the maneger is there!!!
No longer here. Closed
Been standing in line for almost 37mins and theres only four people in line no one has came up to us and said something about this wait the two guy on the counter just looks at us worst service ever
Location in Chula Vista, CA CLOSED PERMANENTLY OMG 😕
Went on a Tuesday afternoon and waited about 3 hours for them to put 2 tires on my car. Not to mention about $90 in hidden cost. Rediculus
Best customer service.
My favorite place
Sears is closed in San Diego....
To long to check in 45 min.
Good offers
Very bad service, to start I spoke on the phone to make an appointment and Cristina answered me the most despotic and rude person in the universe not friendly, so so I could not even make an appointment with her. And he did not mind that I had told him that I was not being nice, he contracted me on the contract, he must have a very safe job. I had to speak later to speak to someone else who would make an appointment for me.When I got to do my oil change and the tire rotation they told me that my car was going to be in two hours so wait 3 hours and nobody spoke to me decided to talk on the phone but the phone sounded busy, so I went to the self-service and my car was already ready in the parking lot Then when I was at the checkout to ask him if they did the tire rotation and he said I think so I said can you check well please yes they did and he says yes and well it turns out that they did not do it and I tell him Well I came to have the tire rotated and I waited a long time and they did not do it and he did not even offer me an apology he just told me Well if you want to wait more for them to do it I said no no more thanks better later I make another appointment Thanks Bye.
I always go to my oil change ... The only problem is that they take a long time.
