This store has the best customer service and the most friendly staff. They always seem to know where everything is and we’re very helpful in picking out some gift ideas.High quality, great service and a variety of products to choose from.
I absolutely love Courtney! She was amazing at helping me find what I needed and had lots of knowledge on what she was talking about. Next time I come in, I’ll be asking for her directly!
Don’t know the name of the “beauty expert” this store had yesterday, but she was condescending and not helpful at all. I had a question about a product a friend recommended to me, and instead of giving me any alternatives or advice, she shut down the product I had, and made a rude comment, “but if you want to get this because your friend is super experienced, go ahead.” I told her my friend and I had similar skin types… She was not a beauty expert, in my opinion.
The shop girl help me with shade selection, recommended dupes for products. Everyone greeted us with a big cheery Hello! Said come back for my birthday pressies...all in all a beautiful day.
I went yesterday and it was a great experience! I really love their Ariana Grande perfumes (the Cloud one and the REM one) 😎

Lack of staff, could find products I needed, and was never approached to be helped.
Every time I go in I get followed. When I ask for help people seem to huff and puff and get an attitude when it’s their job to help you. This is by far the worst Ulta anybody can go to they follow you if you’re dark skin they don’t help you. The only time they help you is if they see you by the perfume selection to make sure I guess he’ll steal it.
The staff was helpful and the store was nice and clean.

The ladies there are really helpful and nice. As soon as walked in someone was there to greet me and asked me if I needed help finding something? That was really cool of her!! And yes, after five other stores I found what I was looking for. I highly recommend Ulta Beauty!!

I was seriously disappointed at this store. First, they were out of the compact I wanted to buy. Second, the parking is awful! And third, customer service was so slow and not enough cashiers. The line to purchase anything ran down the length of the store! No one seemed to think they should open another register. There were only two at the time. I think they were waiting for the line to strech to the back wall!!. I originally gave this store two stars now I think I should have given them one star!

My wife purchased Kylie Jenner sample lipstick and tea tree face scrub and body wash. Great products. Ulta is conveniently located to our home. Good atmosphere.
This is my favorite Ulta store . The people who work there are very laid-back, yet super helpful when you need them to be.
Customer service is non-existent. This is my 3rd visit to this store. Sales attendants just stand around talking to each other. It is obvious the customer is not their priority. My rating of 2 stars is simply based on the fact that I have found the items I needed at each visit. Otherwise, my rating would have been a 1 as, unfortunately, 0 is not available.
I scheduled a perm and hair cut over the phone because the website was not working. The lady repeated what I wanted and told me the time scheduled and everything seemed fine. I went in for my appointment and my stylist Andrea said I was only scheduled for a hair cut and that she didnt have time for me. Then another girl was asking me over and over if I wanted a perm and making me feel stupid. Like if I wasnt sure I wanted a perm I wouldnt have gone in for one in the first place! She pulled out some curlers and was sloppily trying to see (in her words) if she could even do it because my hair is short. My hair is should length, layered yes, but the layers are not short at all. It was just frustrating to say the least. Andrea offered me a discount to go back another time because they didnt have time for me but I wont be going back. I felt insulted and felt like my time was wasted.
If there is another ulta store you can go to, go there. Don’t come here. The customer service is ridiculous. I was trying to help my mom pick a foundation and asked an employee to help us match her shade. The first employee was great but she ended up turning us over to another employee that acted like she was doing us a big favor. I feel like if you’re not happy with what you’re doing, find another job or at least try to be nice. Also, most of the time no one knows what’s going on and have no idea what they’re talking about. So disappointed.

Went to get highlights and a haircut. They charged $200, and I cannot see the highlights at all. I do not recommend it. It is too overpriced, and the job was not done.
The quality of service at this location used to be fantastic. Of recent months, that quality has gone downhill fast. I used to walk in to this location and would be greeted warmly, I would be attended to, and left alone when it was necessary.I went in for salon services in early January. Making the appointment was a nightmare. The girl who was actually working in the salon never even bothered to acknowledge my existence to make the appointment, so I left and opted to make my appointment online. My normal stylist was no longer there, so I took a chance on someone new. I was a few minutes early for my appointment, I checked in and sat down. Fifteen minutes pass, no stylist. Twenty minutes pass, still nothing. I see people working, but no one is talking to me. FORTY FIVE MINUTES pass, I stood up and sought out the manager. No one was nothing to tell me anything, so I thought someone in charge should know.Turns out my stylist couldnt figure out how long color needed to stay on the person ahead of me. But she never bothered to tell me she was running late. My time is valuable. I respected their time, they failed horribly at respecting my time. After waiting 60 minutes past my original appointment time, I was finally seated for my haircut with a stylist whom I did not schedule my appointment with.I heard lots of apologies for the epic fail of time management. But really, it never had to come to that. If someone would have communicated with me, I may have been more understanding.The management of this location leaves a lot to be desired. I was so happy when this location opened. I was so loyal and a devoted customer there that I am a Platinum member.I have yet to go back into this store, even for my basic beauty needs. I dont feel like I should reward a business with my hard earned money when they cant even value their customer base.Im not bashing on all Ulta stores. Just this one. They need someone else to drive this ship.
My favorite makeup store. Not that I need any. They have a great salon if you need a quick blowout.
Had my eyebrows done here and I walked out the same way I walked in. $21.00 For nothing. Ive been to other ULTA stores and they did a great job, but not this one. Instead, she kept telling me I had thin eyebrows and shouldnt do what I was guiding her to do. Not going back there for services. Just to buy stuff.

I wish my local Ulta was clean and sanitized at all times. Every time I go in there the shelves are dusty and the samples are super disgusting. Ive purchased a few items in the past that I had to return because they were either used or someone swiped their fingers in the palette. Very unsanitary.The only reason why I would go in there is to buy things that are in packages where I know no one can get their hands on it.There should be a strict daily check list the employees should follow.
I like the the girls. They were fun. Make up came out alright Im just not use to so much face coverage I guess. The hair style wasnt to flashy but braiding isnt really there strong suit.

No one on the floor to help with anything. To show cosmetics or help with color matching you are on your own finding things. Employees hang out at register. Was looking for hair products and gave up. Ended up going to Sephora where I immediately was helped!!
Service is not the greatest here. Almost feel like your wasting their time when they could busy chatting about their other coworkers performance. In front of clients? Thats not professional. Oh whats that you had a question too bad.

I wanted to purchase Bare Minerals. not one person offered to help me. I even sat on one of the make up stools so that I would be seen. I looked at the other brands...Philosophy etc...the younger people got help. after 20 minutes I left the store and spent $150.00 at Lancome at Macys. this has happened at this store before. And the parking is horrible and no handicap parking. I am done with Ulta.Also the cashier should have put on a smock...her shirt didnt cover her butt crack. I waited in line to ask a question and 2 of us turned away when she leaned over to retrieve something from as cabinet.The service at the Manchester NH store a couple years ago was poor also. They dont hire enough clerks.
Although I was going when it was almost closing time, everything was amazing, the manager was very friendly. The only bad thing I could say is that I wasnt correctly matched (foundation), but overall, excellent attention
I just cut my hair and this lady did a great job, Im very pleased.
I previously had a horrible experience at the Ulta Salon. Vanessa had not only done a bad job on my hair but also took more than three hours because she was busy gossiping with other stylists. To make things even worse, she ruined the clothes that I was wearing, by spilling hair dye on it.I decided to give the salon another chance last week and booked an appointment with Andrea. Ulta charges more for her service, so I assumed she would be a lot more professional. The appointment was set for 5:00. At around 12:00, I got a call from Andrea. She asked if I could go in earlier. I told her that I would call her within 15 minutes if I could reschedule and if she did not receive a call from me within the 15 minutes, it meant that I would have to keep the original appointment. She agreed.I arrived to my appointment and was told that Andrea had gone home and that I was not scheduled for an appointment with her. She wanted to go home early on a Saturday, and she just arbitrarily went in and deleted my appointment. I thought Ulta could not top my bad last experience, but they did! The manager spoke to me and as a consolation, offered to have Vanessa do my hair!! No way! I am done with that salon!
Their app lists fraudulent prices that Ulta will not honor in the store. Some items are clearly marked online only, but other products (many products infact) are not on sale in store even though theyre the exact same thing. When you bring this up to Ulta employees theyre rude and unhelpful. This also applies to having actual items in stock. Many items shown on the app appear to be available at the store but in actuality theyre only available online. Save yourself time & money - go to Sephora.

I thought maybe it was just me but they have terrible service in this Ulta. I’ve been here twice. They staff are more concerned about stocking shelves or just just doing the bare minimum of their jobs. I hope their management is aware and will improve customer service training for these people. It would be a shame if their business fails on the account of their terrible service.
I get why this store has so many bad reviews. Ive been to this store a number of times and could write my own review about their poor customer service, but Ill save that for another time. I just called the store to ask a question about getting a hair cut and the woman who answered the phone didnt know if they style the hair after getting a hair cut. She put the phone down and rather than putting me on hold, I could hear people goofing off and then I heard the woman tell someone she didnt know how to answer my question. Eventually, I just hung up.

I went to get a trim tonight at the Otay Ranch location, I have long black straight hair, the lady that cut my hair did her own thing she ended up cutting it or I should say destroying my hair with a razor, she never used scissors, she never allowed me to see it, until the very end.... I absolutely detest it, I just want to cry, my hair now looks super unhealthy, it looks horrible. I will absolutely never go back. It was a very hard lesson to learn, never go to Ulta Salion for a trim, or haircut. She clearly did not listen to my request for just a trim. She ended up cutting sooo much of my beautiful hair, if she would have given me her name I would include it, but unfortunately she never gave me her name. I’m very upset and disappointed with Ulta Salon. They still charged me $40 plus dummy me gave her 15% tip, since I didn’t see my hair until I got home. Do not go, it’s horrendous 😞
I showed up around 5pm on a Sunday (they close at 6) I was not greeted by an employee. I began browsing and a product had exploded on my clothing and I was looking for something to clean it with. Multiple employees & the security guard didnt offer any assistance. Not to mention the security guard had his eye on me the whole time which made me feel uncomfortable. The only time a employee even bothered to speak to me was to say just so you know we close at 6. So seemingly all they care about is closing up and getting everyone out. This is why I shop at SEPHORA

It was my second time going to an Ulta store, I dont really know how the customer service should be or if they have to greet you or not, but one thing that I did not like and thought it was very unprofessional is that while the cashier was ringing me out she was gossiping about another employee and talking trash about her in front of everyone waiting in line. Not cool.
My first time there and it was awful. Not only were they unhelpful they were extremely rude to my daughter and I. I will continue to only shop at Sephora. Would not recommend this place at all.

Unprofessional. Scheduled a facial for my wedding. Get down there...paying the toll to get back and forth and this aesthetician Giancarlo completely flaked!!! Was told he didnt work there anymore. They werent even that concerned which was apparent because they didnt tell any of his clients! Back to La Jolla what a sad joke.
