The staff was very helpful and friendly. It felt like everyone wanted to make sure you had a good experience. There were lines everywhere, I’m sure everyone wants to come check it out. They have a good variety of food and some exotic fruits and veggies. They have food stations towards the back, a vinegar section with different types of balsamic vinegars, large nuts and spices section. Big wine selection, and local beers. It’s a decent size market.It was clean and very well stocked. They have a current promotion where if you spend $50 or greater you receive a free hard plastic straw cup. They are also giving away brownies on your way out the door. I would definitely go and check them out!

This market is so clean and it has your basics down with a nice touch. Vegans have lots of choices here, I love there cheese selections, breads and the produce department is always nice and full.

The store really wow me!It has so many different types of food, it isnt crowded, the employees are super nice and very helpful. The are always there for you every step of the way. The way the store is set up is very easy to move around. You can find vegetables, vegan food, gluten free food, orange juice, nuts, breads, tortillas, Salads, salsa, Hispanic good, Chinese food, Korean food, Persian food, great soups, cheeses, ice creams, a huge variety of noon dairy icecreams, regular icecreams, gelato, wines several types of beers and liquor. This store is very well thought out. Their food to go looks amazing. The sandwiches were delicious. My wife and I bought some of them and they were tasty. They vegetable frozen section is not shabby. They also carry all kinds of nuts. We just came in for a couple of things and found a lot of stuff the we loved. They have a baking section and they have four! There are a couple of specially items that Im sure you will enjoy. Next time Im bringing my kiddos with me they will have a field trip on the fruit areas. There have plenty of parking, they do have handicap parking as well as easy handicap accessible to the store. The employees receive you with a big smile and they are ready to help you. I really enjoy their prices, compared to may weekly doing list I can tell you some of the things at the store are cheaper than even than their competition. You have to check it out. Take your time and enjoy.

Im such a huge fan of Barons in Otay Ranch. The store is CLEAN and not too crowded like competitors such as Sprouts and Whole Foods. I used to shop at Whole Foods and Sprouts for my weekly grocery shopping but now Im 90% Barons, 10% Whole Foods.I love how much selection is offered at this location and the staff is so nice and welcoming.

This was my first time ever at a Barons market and they went above and beyond my expectations! The staff was super friendly, everything was ridiculously clean, I loved the layout of the grocery store, and they literally have everything you could imagine! This store definitely deserves more than 5 stars!!! I’ll be coming back for sure!!!!

Very welcoming and colorful displays, especially fresh produce, even outside is an invitation to healthy fresh high quality food! Also many ready to eat bowls of soup, roasted chicken and deli items. Freshly baked scrumptious chocolate chip fat cookies. Bought 2 watermelons, employee chose at my request, the juiciest firmestones, for our family. Definitely will return! Manager always around helping, guiding in a very courteous manner

Love this place. Its never crowded and they have quality produce and groceries. They have a small area with hot soups and salad bar.

Be aware of purchasing wine from here. I purchased Chablis and it was heavy and vinegary. This is not the type of grocery store for purchasing for any type of wine, maybe beer and soda.

I like barons. But San Diego hipsters drink way too much kombucha. Why is that 90 of the beer selection?

I stopped by the opening of the Barons Market in Otay Ranch. This was my first time visiting this grocery store chain. It was a lovely experience. It reminded me of a fancier version of Sprouts. They planned for social distancing and even had masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer available at the entrance. The produce looked great and were reasonably priced. I bought corn, strawberries, avocados, blueberries, and hand braided brioche bread all for under $20. They gifted shoppers with a free sweet treat upon exited the store. I made French Toast with the brioche bread this morning and it was delicious. I look forward to my next visit to Barons.

Great store with wonderful food options no matter what you are looking for. Do wish there was a butcher but thier packaged meats are very good.

One of my most favorite stores in Chula Vista! I’m so glad Barons has come our way. I have had great shopping experiences each and every time I’ve shopped there. The staff is friendly and very welcoming to all!

This is a great store. I love that it is a locally owned (SD county) business. I also love that they carry Sadaf Spices and Cada (sp) Spanish products.

NEW REVIEW:Last Saturday my wife and I tried a second visit to Barons Market and this time the experience was much improved compared to our first try weeks ago. There was less people in the store and that gave us the opportunity to explore. We found a wide variety of high quality products that we see ourselves potentially purchasing in the future. If not too crowded inside we will be back.OLDER REVIEW:It was too crowded inside. We got out as quickly as we got into the store. Recommend better crowd control, allow less people in the store at one time, implement one direction traffic isles to prevent chaos and traffic jams and strictly enforce employee mask usage. I saw 2 employees wearing masks covering their mouths but not nose. Too risky for us with underlying health conditions. We will try again later

Today was the first day Barons Otay Ranch was open. The store was packed with staff and customers! The food presentation was incredible and it was so well stocked. The prices were very competitive to other companies. I will certainly be returning to this store. Kudos to them for having a successful opening day during a national health crisis. I felt like they met all community health guidelines.Thank you!

Interesting store. Unique cheeses. Lots of pre-packaged meals for a quick grab and go. Dont expect to find the name brands you see at the big chain stores.

Extremely clean store, with very helpful staff. Store is a bit small, with somewhat limited selection, but would definitely consider returning. There some items that I could only find here, i.e. good selection of local beer. Location in the mall is good with plenty of entries, exits and parking.

Its a very nice, and quaint market with more of a real food vibe. Everything a normal market has, produce, bakery, meat, etc. Its well organized and not overwhelming to be in.

It had not been great. Overpriced for underwhelming produce and awful meat.

I Go for the hot soup bar, but usually walk out with more. A little more expensive, but worth it.
