This place has so many varieties of yarn and notions for crochet and knitting. On Saturday is a public knitting/crochet for everyone from 10 am to 2 pm. As long as you buy the yard there (you get a free pattern) your choice, you can stay in the back with the group that mingles every week. I can only go every two weeks because my work schedule, but I have been a visitor for maybe now 5-6 years.Gloria the owner is a very nice lady. Lucy her assistant too, both bilingual, (Spanish).

Wow! What an amazing selection. All the gorgeous yarns you cant find at the big box stores. Dont let the name fool you, they have TONS of needle craft stuff, not just leather stuff. I will definitely be back!

Yarns at Border Leather has possibly the widest selection of yarn in San Diego. From hand painted wool, glitzy specialty skeins to gorgeous cotton and soft acrylic. Also a great selection of needles including Addi and Lykke. Highly recommend, everyone is very friendly.

Customer service is Great. They have the best selections of yarn and specialty yarn. Great leather store also. Gloria and Meyer are also so helpful. Wonderful place.

Service superb, especially Gloria who came out from their office such a big help. She went out of her way to help find exactly what I needed. I’ll be back to show her my finished project. Reviewed already but this shop is worth the drive for yarn from hours away. I have never seen such a great variety of spectacular yarn that you cannot just get at other chain stores, ie Wal....rt, etc. Extremely friendly and patient service and free knitting classes and circles. They only ask that you buy their yarn. Very warm friendly atmosphere, not intimidating, no matter your skill level. Will definitely return ( over and over I am sure!)
