My new favorite place for cooking classes! Classes are set up with a chef/teacher doing most of the work, with multiple small groups of participants making various dishes together (4 max to a group), while you split what you make as a small group, you get more than plenty of food for yourself. I’ve been to classes where you make everything yourself, and I enjoyed this style a bit more—made things easier to follow, I got to make more dishes, and it was fun to work with new people as a team. Definitely recommend taking classes here! I’ve taken a Thai food and Italian pasta class and loved both!
Glenda is amazing i would highly recommend coming in to have her take a look at your knives! She sharpened them to a razor and was very informative to talk to.
Great kitchen store with quality kitchenware. The management and staff are very helpful. I needed scheduling help and they went above and beyond to help me and my guest. Cooking classes are great! Have taken The Perfect French Meal and Great British Baking. Chefs Rebecca and Ryan are very knowledgeable with great personalities and made everyone feel welcome. In the class Great British Baking, we made sausage rolls, sticky toffee pudding and Victoria sponge cake.
Basically has everything you need in the kitchen to cook with including specialty items. They offer cooking classes where you pair up with 3 others in the class to cook all sorts of meals. You can book the class directly on their website and then they give you a copy of the receipe before you go home.
Who doesnt know how to cook and know about this place? My only gripe is is that every time I walk in I intend to get something and then Even though they offer great cooking classes and products I dont need them. I am not an advanced cook in any way of the case but nothing that they offer is what Im interested in. There isnt a new way of cooking up a protein or vegetable that Im not already aware of. Granted maybe I should be a little stronger in my baking ability but honestly I just dont care about that.
I attended the fried chicken secrets class with Rebecca. I really enjoyed it. The class was easy to understand even if you werent an experienced cook. We made fried chicken and Nashville hot chicken, both were very good. The crust on the chicken was AMAZING. We made coleslaw with a purple cabbage. The coleslaw was the only thing I didnt care for. It looked beautiful but was too lemony for my taste. We also made biscuits with honey butter. It was very good. I was surprised that she also taught us some knife skills. Im so glad I chose this class and I learned recipes and knife skills that I can use for the rest of my life.
Attended one of the cooking classes and it was amazing! Great people who can relate to all skill levels. Will be booking another class again once Covid is a memory.
Wow, a company with difficulties, two sales people talking to each other, ine other customer in the store, after walking the store for at least 10min, Never even acknowledged us with as much as a look. Great way to drive sales! NOT! Inventory looks to have been cut by around 50%. Always liked your company, not sure when Ill be back.
The best store hands down for everything your kitchen needs.
I normally would not write a bad review for a company, especially for one usually known for being reputable. However, my girlfriend and I recently ordered a set of knives from Sur La Table and it has been over a month and we have not heard anything about it being shipped. Tried calling customer service - no one answers the phone. Tried emailing - its been two weeks with no response. I understand that COVID has been difficult for almost everyone, but this lack of communication is ridiculous.
Ive attended several of the cooking courses offered and have never been disappointed. Kayla is an amazing chef and instructor with a great personality. Her ability to keep the classes fun yet sophisticated is what keeps me going every time.
Kayla was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and helpful, we took her Sicilian class and learned how to make traditional dishes pop with citrus and herbs. She’s a clear teacher who strives to Involve all participants so they learn and are able to replicate the meals at home.My only con was how wasteful the set up was: disposable cups for multiple ingredients, throwing away veggie parts and herb stems, plastic tasting spoons. Please think about how to incorporate reusable items and teaching how to use more of the food! While Kayla went above and beyond to talk about how to use all parts of every ingredient (like mushroom stems and squash seeds), this should be built in to your educational experiences.
I have been very curious about your cooking classes so I stopped in to get some information. The customer service rep at the counter was very helpful. Her name is Megan. She was very pleasant, engaging and quite enthusiastic about the cooking classes. She gave me schedule of all the classes for September. She advised me to go visit the website to view the other months schedule and where to sign up for the classes. Wonderful visit to your store.
It is closing this month. Closing sale. A little light on merchandise.
Took my mom for a mother’s day cooking class and made croissants. Definitely wasn’t a great class and we were both disappointed. We used kerrygold butter which isn’t French and the instructor wasn’t very good at explaining unless he was doing it for you. Additionally, the croissants came out under cooked and the instructor wasn’t able to tell us how he knew they were done... Sur La Table gives you time during class to shop which comes off as kinda odd and a little too pushy to buy their products. Overall, my mom and I enjoyed each other’s company but I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend.
Best cooking store
Recently went here for a cooking class and was amazed at how hands-on it was, the attention from the chef, the professionalism of the staff, and how friendly everybody was. Not to mention the food was delicious. Definitely worth the cost, as well as the time
Antonia D. and her two helpers were amazing in the kids pizza and gelato class today! Very informative and my nephew learned a lot and wants to come back. I highly recommend Antonia! Great job!
Pretty cool place. Goto the back of the store where their classroom is and check it out
Ordered a gift for christmas on cyber monday. Sur La Table backordered it and can not guarantee christmas delivery!!! Careful when you order from these folks!!! or faire attentione quand achete ici
I took a class to make Macarons and was still having issues. I was able to talk to the Head chef and find some more information to help me figure out what I was doing wrong. Wow! How many managers or supervisors would do take 30 minutes out of their busy day to do that? Thanks, Ian! I should also mention that the chef who taught my class was a very kind and sweet lady. I look forward to taking more classes.
Great selection and quality, but look elsewhere for what you need. These employees are so rude!! Don’t expect to get greeted when you walk in, even though the store is full of employees. You’ll get ignored if you’re not a ‘culinary expert.’ Seriously disgusting customer service. Don’t support this store
Kayla was an excellent teacher and very patient she was very knowledgeable and everyone had a great time. We will definitely recommend our friends take her class.
Bought a Crusine Art ice cream maker last week, it was a flook model didnt think anything of it, ASSumed all the prices were there, bought it and left. Today is the first day I was able to play with it for the first time, get it out of the box no churn. Most important part. Called the store said its not their fault that it wasnt with the rest of the machine, that its the customers responsibility to check before purchasing. Greedy people who are only wanting a sale. Im done. Williams Sonoma is way better.
I love this store! They offer things that are not available at other kitchen stores!!!
I can always find something useful for the kitchen here.
The store is nice and the staff is helpful.
Instructive cooking classes but a rather rude staff.
Helpful and friendly staff. Loaded with all cooking essentials!
I bought a paella pan here and used it. It bent under the extremely hot grill heat. They took it back no questions asked.
Good store. Bit pricey.
Nice selection of top quality goods so not cheap. Recently added cooking classes.
Had an unexpected situation that caused us to miss our class. Inquired about a credit or discount to reschedule the class but they wouldnt even consider it.
Helpful staff, nice store.
Nice service
Great cooking classes!
