Metal Working Group, Im blessed to be part of a great company, 12 years of my life working with great people and for a great team. The MWG has earn my respect and dedication for 12 years. Great ownership, great management, great leadership and overall a truly great company. Amazing team work!

Overall the company is a great place to work. Show up on time everyday, and perform your job duties as expected and you will be fine. The owner of the company constantly invests into his company. For at least 9 to 10 months out of the year overtime is available. If you are lazy, are not punctual, and like to come to work under the influence of whatever, please apply someplace else. The place is crowded with people, work, machines and trash. You are expectie to be able to work around a bunch of skids on the floor. Definitely a trip hazard. You will be expected to handle chemicals that require gloves but none will be provided. The people that you will be trained by are rude at best. The owner of the company tries to get everyone in a happy State of mind about their work but he himself is part of the problem. He is not happy about being there as much as no one else is. They hire people for jobs that have no clue as to what is going on. Just because someone might be a outstanding citizen doesnt mean they know how to powder coat or capable of running a whole crew. The safety manager for a lack of better words is definitely a piece of work. Definitely a person who is in fear of losing his job. You are required to pass two drug tests to get hired on but what they dont tell you is that everything you do is subject to drug testing. Not a good place to work if you seriously want to pay your bills on time. If you are interested in short term work great place to work. The people that you will be working with are all back stabbers at best. The only people who have been with the company a long time are the people who are best at back stabbing. Most of the best work is produced by other companies and other people who are subcontracted to handle all the work that no one can do inside the company or they feel like it is just too much for them. I definitely feel sorry for some of the companies who have to use this service because if they spent a little bit of time looking around, they could find a much better company to do business with.

This is a great place to work.They have very good benefits and plenty of opportunity for overtime most of the year.Management is respectful and professional and pretty much everyone there is friendly.If youre looking for a place where you can just show up and get a check this probably isnt the place for you. They dont ask you to work yourself into the ground but you need to be the sort of person thats willing to earn your check.Ive been at MWG for almost 25 years and Im very happy there. Ive made some great friends, a decent living, and learned a lot about metal working.

Major drug problems with employees. I would see drug deals go down on day shift in the back of the building on a regular basis. I even heard Human Resources tell 2 temps about to be hired that they would go for a preemployment drug test the next day unless they needed “time to study”. People went to the bar across the street at lunch on night shift and would come back drunk regularly
