I took some jewelry into Golden Jewelers today and the person at the shop diamond tested the rings. One of the rings was 1.6c according to the paperwork I have but it tested as glass according to him. The others tested good. I watched as he tested the diamonds and it seemed he tested them the same. He offered me money for what I brought in, which seemed alright if the main ring wasnt a diamond. He also said if it was real I would be looking at over 1k more with original offer. I have never been to a pawn shop before and maybe I trusted that he knew what he was talking about. Yes, the diamond tester did not peak like the other rings but when I thought about it after I left, I wonder if I got screwed by him or the company I bought it from originally. I really should have had him test it again. I guess its a lessoned learned, make sure the pawn shop tests again if you have concern.

Originally I went to another place to price my gold and was OK with the price but wanted to comparison shop. I visited here and they offered me over 40% more then the first place. Well theres a reason for this and wanted to share it. The other place actually told me some of my items were not real and less gold. Meaning I was told most of my pieces were 14k and 10 k and a few not real pieces BUT GJ told me otherwise. They examined my jewelry pieces, tested those that were not marked and found that most of the ones that were not real were real and some of the ones that I was told were 10k, 14k were actually 18k. Well I am actually glad I went to comparison shop and did it payoff. I would say I sincerely trust and feel GJ is the most honest place around. I understand people in general have to make money but have some integrity folks. This is why I believe places like GJ will always be around. On behalf of my family and myself I wanted to thank you for being honest.
