Total scammers. Scammed my mother and when I helped her realized it, and she canceled it before the deadline, they refunded her then immediately charged her again. When we realized it we called and after being hung up on 3 times finally got someone to confirm the cancelation. So cool...not....when she got her bank statement at the end of the month it showed they never did reverse that charge. So called again, got hung up on only 2 the other times they did not even answer or return voice-mail. Called the company directly instead of local store and they refused to refund her Completely because she was a member for not even 2 day so they got her out of her contract but refused to refund the original agreed amount, the 99 installation fee. Watch out for all those sales people will say anything for a signature, fair warning with this company, protect your signature.
Never ever get this service. It was nightmare to cancel and I’m still in phone to terminate while I’m writing this review. They are suckers. Can’t believe when I’m customer for so long and getting so hard time to cancel.Will never ever get ADT again.
I wish I would have seen the reviews before we had the Defenders, dba Protect your Home, come out. The supervisor on the phone, Roy, promised us 3 cameras, 2 smoke detectors, 15 door and window sensors, etc. The installation fee was $99 which I paid over the phone. When the installer came out, the cameras were out of stock, but he installed the rest of the system, and had to charge me for the smoke detectors because I had run out of equipment credit, which I paid unwillingly. When the cameras came in, he would return and install them no charge. Told me to call next week to arrange for the cameras to be installed. When I called today, I was told it was going to be $299 for installation and I would have to pay for one of the cameras since they only give you 2 free. Livid doesnt describe it! I cant cancel now because its one day over the 3 day cancel period, which Drew told me didnt matter because I did not get the cameras yet. I did get credit to get the third camera after talking to a supervisor but I still have to pay the mandatory $299. This is is very upsetting and I am going to BBB and Yelp to maybe prevent someone else from getting taken.
I love the product and the customer service was great but the prices are a bit high. The service guy was very professional and polite!!! He explained everything to me with a clear understanding. I would definitely recommend you guys to the next person.
Not here for the home services, but your sales representatives are very rude. I cant imagine the customer service. An adt representative showed up and blocked my driveway for the neighbors. I was actually outside and greated them at the gate before they got out of thier car (because I was waiting on my husband to open the gate for him to pull in.) And they asked about the new neighbors next door. I said very politely, Im not sure honestly, but this is my driveway. He replied, Yeah I wont be long, Im just trying to talk to the neighbors. I said, Thats fine, my husband is on his way home though, and there is plenty of parking 2 ft in front and behind my driveway. He replied, No thanks, Im just going to be a minute. First off its illegal to obstruct your own driveway, let alone someone elses. Anyway my husband called and said he was going to be late,(his mom called and he had to run there first)but I walked out to take a picture of the car for this review, and the man now in front of the neighbors who had been giving a sales speech too for already 10 minutes, said, Oh here let me move my car, I dont want to make anyone angry as if he wasnt a rude person, and I was a bother. I replied Thank you, my husband is going to need to pull into his own house. Not the biggest deal, but its very rude, and I can tell you Ill never like the name ADT because thier reps have put a bad taste in my mouth for how they treat people, and how they pretended in from of potential money.
My cloud camera service has been disconnected four times over the last year now for no explainable reason, and I have been unaware each time.They do not care if you are paying monthly and receiving nothing in return. They even increased their rates last month.If something happens, I have no peace of mind when I am gone because Im wasting money on a company that does not care about my safety or security.Each tech theyve sent has never seen this camera and both of our times are wasted when they leave.Bonus: the saleswoman also lied to my about the camera system we chose.I cannot recommend this company.

ADT installation quite easy, ADT experts finished installation in 1 hrs and with basic training we will be able use it comfortably.Fell more protection and secure with ADT.
On 5/6/2016, I bought an upgrade system (was persuaded) from ADT (ADT Pulse) for $1000. I pay $52.99 per month to ADT.On 10/?/2016, I cancelled the services after 5.5 months (I am not happy about the service). I called ADT to cancel my service, the rep was so nice, she checked my account and told me I paid my equipment and there is no monitoring agreement contract that I can cancel any time. I thought thats it. They kept charging me.On 1/7/2017, so I let my credit card company to deal with them. I got my refund back. Boys, little do I know about this scram.On 4/8/2017, I received a collection letter from Hillcrest Davidson.On 4/10/2017, According to them I owe Protect Your Home $648. I said who?!?!?!. After I did a lot of research, this is what I found out behind the scam.They take your money in two ways, either you keep paying them until your 2 or 3 years contract end. OR they tricked you to cancel the contract.In my case, one of my doors was opened by the wind. It triggered the alarm, usually they called me and ask about the alarm. And then they sent me an email. So weird that they didn’t call me this time. The police came and fine me $30 because I didn’t have the permit to operate it. I found out I need to pay $325 for the permit. I was pissed ADT didn’t tell me to do that. I only need to pay $50 per two years if they told me to do it from the beginning….See how they trapped me.Have you pay attention the 3 little words (Protect Your Home) next to ADT sign on every brochure? Do you know what that meant? I found out today. And I found out a little bit about the relation among ADT, Protect Your Home and Hillcrest Davidson.ADT hire Protect Your Home to install system for ADT.They have a contract between themselves that if a customer cancel the contract, Protect Your Home will get 75% of balance the customer owe. (I have no clue about this)If they can’t get the money, Hillcrest Davidson comes in to use law to make you pay. If you don’t pay them, they threaten you…..your credit will…..25% will add on top of what you owe…. I hung up the phone.Now I don’t know why ADT, Protect Your Home whoever they are didn’t give me a copy of my contract. I didn’t get an itemize price for each item neither. They showed me on a piece of paper but they took it with them.BUYER BEAWARE!!!!
I had a great experience with Eric. He was courteous, kind, and professional. Even when he encountered issues, he made sure the job was done correctly.
I suggest using any other alarm company. This company started with high pressure sales, lied about the product features and transferrability, and installed a faulty alarm. They then refused to refund because we were past the 3 day refund limit (it had been two weeks, and the system failed and sent a false alarm after 10 days). So Im out the $626 installation and at least 75% of the contract for a grand total of something like $1800. For a pile of garbage system.
