These guys are great! Honest guys who give accurate details and do solid work. No shoe shine or iffy promises. I dealt direct with the owner Larry and he gave me a solid quote and they got my S500 dialed in, in just a few hours. 2 new cats for less than half of what the dealer wanted! I highly recommend West Coast for your muffler and Cat needs! Hell, any exhaust type issues or wants!

This shop was really great. They were able to get my car in with such short notice. I looked around at different places and this was the best price for the quality work. They did a full header back custom exhaust. A different shop wanted to charge the same price but only do half the work. West Coast Muffler got everything done within my budget. 10/10 would recommend.

My exhaust was damaged from backing into a high curb. My exhaust was making a lot of noise and banging against the undercarriage of the vehicle. Larry and Gus were both working the day I brought my car in. They immediately put the car on the lift and inspected the damage. I went to this shop because they were the only shop that would help me with my last car. The shop is first come first serve so be aware of that and arrive promptly. All the prices are spot on and the service/ quality is 110%. Pipe pricing is spot on (from what you see online for resonator/ muffler deletes) and they custom bend/ weld it! It’s a no brainer, you get what you pay for. When you pay for something do you really want the cheapest s* that will cause a headache down the road? Do it once and do it right, this is your exhaust shop destination.

Despite California’s new law, which requires you to buy a costly type of Catalytic Converter for your vehicle. West Coast Muffler had me in and out of that shop in 30 - 45 minutes. They did it while having a good time as well. Thank you.

Took a quick trip to see if I could get a quote on a fix for a rattling that I wanted to end. Not only did they find the cause of the noise but fixed it same day in under 20 minutes and gave me a good price. I also got a new exhaust tip installed all for under $230 for my entire trip. Larry and his right hand man (whose name I can’t remember even though I asked him right before I left ) were wonderful! Very professional but also easy-going as well. My catalytic converter was stolen from my jeep. I requested quotes from multiple local shops and one came back w/a lower price than West Coast Muffler. I provided the quote to W.C.M and they happily matched that price with no questions asked. Ive been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

These guys know their stuff, I asked my options they gave me my choices, what was best for my goal, a little more HP, and a little more Rumble from my truck, in moderation for me on noise. I had dual exhaust on my mind they clearly explained my options, between the 2 choices dual, or mod the existing system. They told me i can upgrade to a better Muffler, and achieve same or better than going dual exhaust for my Nissan Titan. I did some research and discovered there where 100 % Correct, base on my research, for my truck single exhaust with correct muffler was the way to go, verified by Dyno testing. Many business will sell the most expensive option, and not mention options. This shop is the best, no upsell They give you the best choice for your application. They are very knowledgeable, skilled staff. The installer took his time and did it right, I was impressed how he went back and rechecked his own work to ensure it was done right the 1st time. Every time I buy a new truck I have them put a performance exhaust on. They do quality work at a fair price wouldnt go anywhere else.

These guys are so amazing, they price matched the lowest quote I was given to replace a stolen catalytic converter. I had only liability coverage so I paid out of pocket. They did an amazing job and used all the right parts for me to pass smog. If you have a prius, get protection or park in your locked garage. Please. Thiefs are out there being absolute garbage. Definitely recommend this shop though.

I went to this place in 2008 to have him put exhaust on my 1966 Ford truck he quoted me $400 when I went to pick it up he wanted $750 my big mistake was not to get it in writing when I dropped the truck off and when I picked it up the kid that actually did the work apologized for what his boss was doing to me my advice is if you go here get it in writing

Took in my 2000 Subaru Impreza Outback, wanted the car to be louder before installing some unequal length headers. These guys knew exactly what they were doing, showed me step by step what they were doing and made sure everything was ok with me. Good strong welds. Cut the muffler clean off and replaced it with a magnaflow muffler that flows and sounds way better than the stock muffler/no muffler. Whole process took less than 30 minutes and was very cheap and well worth it. Will definitely bring any future vehicles here.

I have come in here twice now and have dealt with the same two friendly gentlemen. The first time I got my muffler replaced for a good price and I was in and out within 25 minutes. The second time I had my tailpipe replaced and again, I was in and out and was happy with the price and service. Will go back again for any of my cars muffler needs! 10/10 RECOMMEND!

Sadly some crackhead decided to relieve me of my Catalytic Converter. I have a 96 F350 so finding parts has been a challenge. Larry took control as soon as I called and got it all sorted out. After they fixed it and I left, I realized that there was still some sort of issue going on. Larry was totally cool about it, told me to bring it back and they would check it out. Not only did they check it out, but they removed all of the parts they put on so we could determine what the issue was. Well, it turned out to NOT be their issue. I had just got my truck back from another shop the day before after getting my distributor replaced. One of the tech Gustavo said he thought the timing was off and thats why I was losing power. Called the other shop, the swore up and down that the timing was correct. After Gustavo and the other guy.....sorry other guy, put all of the stuff back on for the second time I took it back to the other shop. Well, guess what, Gustavo was right. Anyway, these guys did the job twice with zero complaints just to make sure I was happy when I left. I will not recommend another shop to my friends ever.

Called the shop about getting an axle back welded onto my car and I was quoted $200 to remove the current mufflers and weld the new ones on. I went in that same day cause I needed it on before I went back home. But when I got home I didnt see any welds... they just took the clamps that came with the axle back and used those when I clearly wanted them WELDED on. This shop will get over on you if they can so be aware!!.

Called West Coast Muffler up and got a quote for a replacement catalytic converter, brought the car in the next morning and they explained everything and got it done in 30 mins. Fantastic work and very knowledgeable. I will 100% recommend this place to my friends and will absolutely return when I need more work done.

Seven months ago the team at West Coast Muffler, in Citrus Heights, gave best competitive price for complete 4ea catalytic converter replacement on my 520,000 mile 2006 Tacoma 4.0L, with a recently replaced engine.Gus put on new cats, and in and out of the shop efficiently same afternoon, he’s a craftsman.Then 28k miles later had a rare pre catalytic issue that appeared to cause a P0430 OBD code “cat system efficiency below threshold”. I did the needed engine diagnostics testing to prove truck was tuned properly, per warranty requirements, brought it back to them.Larry and Gus inspected for any potential exterior system damage and removed the cat converter and looked for clues of improper engine maintenance, then replaced targeted converter quickly, without charges, within a few hours. Outstanding and immediate communication and service from them both. Honest and trustworthy people, and five star company.

Super supportive on tips and were able to locate the tips that I would be happy with. Larry and Gus were very quick to get started on work and there’s not awkward waiting in the sitting room while you wait like you would get at any other place. The best part I find is that that have you pull your car up onto the rack yourself so there is not getting nervous about someone else driving your car. Very happy how intricate Gus makes his welds and makes sure that they are lined up how you wish. Overall I was very pleased with their service. A Honda dealership quoted me an outrageous price to fix my 11-year old muffler and tailpipe after some recent storm damage. Plus, they said it would take half a day to fix. As a woman, I usually feel like I am being scammed when it comes to my car, but Larry was great about explaining what was wrong and the options to fix it. The guys at West Coast Muffler had it fixed in under 90 minutes and for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

I showed up to west coast knowing very little about exhaust systems or what I wanted. I just know I wanted my truck a little bit louder, but not obnoxious. They immediately ran me through all the options, and then let me know that the cheapest option was actually best for my truck. I really appreciated the honesty, because most companies, seeing I didn’t know squat, would’ve tried to rip me off by selling me on the most expensive setup. Also, I’m extremely happy with the finished product.

I called around got a lower quote and then they beat it by 10 dollars. They also got me in and out in under 30 minutes. I would highly recommend. Clean shop and customer service area. Did not finish the job! Paid $200 to bolt on an exhaust built for my car and after 30 min the owner Larry states “your custom exhaust that was purchased elsewhere is junk”, “probably made from China” and he would charge me $1300 for a similar setup. At the last two bolts, instead of moving the brace for the 3 mm adjustment, they were only willing to chop the brand new stainless steel apart.. basically, the whole exhaust was misaligned piece by piece when they put it together therefore I had to go to a professional shop to have it done right! I only stopped in because, as a previous business owner, I believe in supporting local mom and pop shops.. big mistake.. Id never recommend this place, extremely shady..I never saw an owner throw a tantrum until yesterday over being told to make a small adjustment. Heck, Just paid $200 for 25 min of work yet Larry proceeds to berate, insult and run his mouth like this is rocket science. I was the only customer there, with 25 min to shop close and Larry on a tirade about making an adjustment, the techs stopped working, left the right brace hanging as I had no choice but to leave their shop because they were only willing to chop my new exhaust into pieces, ridiculous. Larry states defective parts but clearly its a lack of integrity and expertise from the top down. This was probably my 10th car over the years upgrading exhausts, and trust me, the experience was never this bad.

Just bought a Toyota RAV4 and needed to inspect the exhaust. for leaks or possible muffler repair. I went there to get my 1989 ranger 2.9l v6 a new cat-back exhaust. I told them what I was looking for, and that I already had the muffler I wanted in. They were flexible gave me a great price. Did a really good job on the work too. Their guy Tony is the one that did the work. Everything sounds good and looks good. I did notice I do have a bit of a rattle on the cat. which means I have to take it back to get that taken care of but I am sure I wont get any flack from them about it. I would recommend this shop to people in the area. But always make sure you price check around as always.

I called them around 3 pm and they quoted me a highly competitive price. They had an opening and I drove to their shop. I liked the fact that I didnt have to sit around waiting for them to get to my job. They replaced both my catalytic units in less and 40 minutes and had me on my way. I was struggling with an exhaust leak coming into my cab. They racked up my truck and IMEDIATLY found the problem!! My mechanic I use MISSED a simple repair. Needless to say the guys at the shop fixed me up!! I was in and out in an hour. OH!!! I did not have to give them an arm and a leg to repair the problem. Great guys!! great shop!!

This place is excellent. I went in there for a new catalytic converter and expected it to be done in a day or two, they had it out of the door within ten minutes. They charged half the price anywhere else was quoting me. Also, I had to leave my car in the parking lot for about an hour and they said it was totally acceptable. That is excellent customer service. I went in to make sure my recently installed catalytic converters hadnt separated or heat shield came open. Not only did they inspect my exhaust system for free, I received a price quote for new exhaust, for my truck to sound like a truck. The quote was pretty close to what I was gonna pay in Colorado which I was getting hooked up. It only took 30 mimutes, my truck sounds amazing and the muffler is hidden it looks super clean.The owner is super friendly and been here for like 30 years. I highly recommend and glad I found it.
