What a great place. Staff and food are amazing. The atmosphere is right out of what this country was founded on. Highly recommend you stop in, need to be patient though its a small place but worth the wait.
I have been going here over the years for breakfast. The food is always really tasty. Its a very small place, so its not for claustrophobic people. Also not a great place to go if youre too shy to call over your waiter. Ive always had a great experience here. Its a little rough around the edges, but thats Claremont, and it doesnt personally bother me one bit.
Hands down best breakfast place in the area, I have been bringing my family here for years now. Its an authentic Diner that has been in the center of our town since 1941 oh, very cool and retro-looking has booth and counter seating and the food is to die for, the home fries are amazing and the chef will gladly put onions in them as well :-) the cook James, is extremely friendly and appears to know most of his patrons who have walked in there a few times even, they definitely make it feel like home there :-) if I could have given this place six stars I would have.
The singe WORST dining experience Ive ever had. The cook seemed like a good guy, did well with what he had but waitress was clearly a junkie and high while working. I had no silverware, who I assumed to be the owner recognized we had no silverware and did nothing. The food was absolutely disgusting. I dont blame the cook for the owner buying frozen /cheap ingredients. 100/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND and will not be going back.

My fianceé and I used to come here to eat breakfast, but the atmosphere has changed since the managing/staff has changed. Apparently the staff has also never abode by the mask rule. Great food and service from the waitresses, but we dont come here anymore.

My wife and I went here after Andrew Yang unexpectedly caused a mob scene at the Country Cafe down the road, and we were very pleasantly surprised by how good it was! She got french toast and I got a kielbasa omelette, stellar! Also, I liked how lively it was, the people who work there seem like theyre a tight knit team. Were absolutely going back.

This is an old school diner. Your cook takes the order and the food is made fresh and hot. The coffee is weak - like it should be. And I love watching the heroin addicts shamble around past the diner in the wee hours of the morning. The prices are good and I recommend the daily specials.

Needs some major repairs to be up to code. This place has so much potential. No sanitary measures taken by the cook who uses bare hands to made burgers and everything else. The steam vent is not covered and has about an inch of black nasty dust directly beside cooking and food prep area. No way this passes food prep and other state laws. Someone is going to get seriously ill from this place.

Would have been a 4 out of 5. The food was good the waitress was attentive and the cook made the food fresh and quickly. The only bad part was the entertainment of the dishwasher who was swearing, speaking loudly, and was making the quiet diner feel crowded with his over bearing tone and lack of person space.

Waitress said they had the state’s best hash browns. Took her up on that, and she was right. The rest of the breakfast was excellent, and the service very friendly. They don’t let your coffee get more than half empty. Best diner around without a question. Wish I lived closer.

We came here as a group of 5 on our way through town. This diner is very old school and i loved the hometown atmosphere it had. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was made hot and fresh. The only things we didnt like - the space is pretty cramped. Generally you couldnt walk in any given direction without bumping into someone and a group of 5 barely fit into a booth. There was also a minor yelling match betweem two customers that got a bit heated that no staff members made an effort to stop but it resolved itself do all was fine in the endThe food was good and we left happy, but just keep in mind, that a diner is a diner and you can expect certain hiccups here and there.

Cute little old fashioned dinner. There was a miscommunication between the waitress and cook, which happens, however the cook didnt handle it nicely and was rather nasty. The poor waitress was in tears. He needs to be calmer or find a other line of work! Will give it one more try.

Hmm the good or the bad first? Well go with the bad and end on a good note. Ok cobwebs on window sill right next to my face. Stuffy and hot in here, course its a scorcher outside but there isnt much airflow through the diner. If you like french toast... wouldnt order it here. Lacking batter and pretty chewy. Taste was good although covered with real maple syrup. The good? Loved the atmosphere. Waitress super nice. Parking was easy and they now accept credit cards.

Good food good service old school place
As we were walking in waitress was walking out the door for a smoke break, she said there was a table in there and shed be in after her break, table was empty but not wiped down and no menus until she came in from her break. After we ordered we waited 45 minutes thinking our food should be ready soon, my husband checked on it and was told they hadnt even started preparing it. We did not stay.
