I shopped market basket in claremont over 15 years, never had a bad experience service include a manager before, Todays I feel bad they no smile no excuse just not happy when you buy more, Special meat department a guy they not too happy service for customer he stopped me to buy meat was no limit to buy I think, they don’t want work too hard !Also the manager she’s not too happy to service customer too! Only cashier she is very nice

Usually the produce is fresh and its why I shop at market basket but today I couldnt find a single item that I needed that was not partially rotten. Most produce is by the pound and having to throw away half before I get it home makes market basket produce to expensive for me anymore.

Simply the best and lowest cost grocery store in the area. The produce and meat are very high quality. Virtually everything in the store is .50-$1 less than every other grocery--and thats without being on sale.

Great shopping experience here tonight! Immediately greeted by Dylan who very kindly wiped the cart I brought in to sanitize it and pointed me in the direction I was looking for! Awesome, polite, and professional help while shopping by all of the associates during this trip! Check out was that great young man Dylan again and a very helpful amazing young lady named Tasha. They both were absolutely wonderful and so polite and professional while helping me with my tricky order and then Tasha had everything all bagged and organized neatly in a new clean cart when my order was done. Both Dylan and Tasha deserve some recognition for their outstanding customer service!!! Thank you for an actual pleasant shopping trip tonight!

The prices are reasonable, the produce is fresh and the selection is very good. I travel an hour to shop at Market Basket. The only issue is that they stock the shelves during the day which makes it challenging to get through the aisles. The prices make that tolerable.

This is my wife’s favorite in the area. We come from Newport, so we drive by another grocery store (or two!) Market Basket has a nice selection for the area, good produce, a decent meat counter, and reasonable prices.

Overall this is our favorite place to grocery shop. Where they need work is in the deli. Almost every time I go I spend almost as much time there that I do in the whole rest of the store. There is no sense of urgency regardless of how many are in line. It is very frustrating. Maybe the employees need some sort of incentive to pick up the pace!

I have loved this store since I was a little girl. You can always find what you need with good prices. If I had to choose between here or Hannafords, I would pick here. Not because it has been around a while or anything but because between these two atleast you can afford more food than (what I like to call the rich mans store) hannfords.

Good store with a decent variety of groceries for a decent price. The cashiers are generally friendly enough, but as is with any business in claremont, some workers just dont care.The cons: this place is ALWAYS packed with customers and the parking lot is fairly full and can be difficult to navigate.The floors can look nasty sometimes, but again, its so busy.. understandable (to a point)In summary, if your okay with crowds and maybe getting a good deal on groceries this might be the place for you.Otherwise, Hannaford and walmart ate just down the street.

Good shopping n lots items n products to chose from

I only went to the Bakery so I cant speak on the whole store but I will say that the Bakery/Fresh Cooked Food section was absolutely impressive ! They amount of food, and how nicely prepared was great, and the sub I got made was delicious and clearly made with love by the sweetest older woman . I regret not noticing her name to give her credit, she definitely made a good sandwich, and cheaper than Subway I might add ! Anyways I got cupcakes as well and they were great, a little over-frosted and definitely overpriced at $36 for 24 cupcakes .. but moist and they did taste very good and were exactly what I asked for when I asked for them so . 🤷🏻‍♀️

I dont even know where to begin but a must go to for extremely great deals and always full of great quality produce, meat and seafood well everything.

It was good but waiting online was not okay short staff on the cash registers only two cash registers open one for 12 items or less and another one for whatever but the line was built up all the way to the bakery not good service this morning

The beer selection leaves you wanting more. The lack of a 12 items or less check out, or self checkout was noticeable.

The store is clean. Items are easy to find with many choices in every department. Staff is always friendly and helpful. If youre looking to save money this is the store to buy your groceries.

Went to the one in Claremont decent little store...clean and decently stocked...usually go to Concord location. My only thing is the baggers need to spend more time paying attention to how they are bagging the customers groceries and less time socializing with the cashiers...I had alot of perishables and brought my insulated bags the bagger just stacked whatever and never secured the bags had to repack when we got to the car .

Its a great store. Been going there for years and I havent had any issues of finding anything. All that staff that I come across are always a pleasure to meet.

I love this grocery store!...I love their store brand frozen vegetables...For example diced frozen onions are only $0.68 cents per bag!!!....these are great for tossing in to the pan when browning ground meat...There is always discounted fresh vegetables that I love to take home and process and can for later use...............

I stopped here quickly today just to grab a box of pop tarts. When I walked in it was pretty busy so I thought it was going to take me a bit to get in and out. However it only took 5 minutes! They had almost all of the check out stations open. That is so great to see. Its horrible when a grocery store has more baggers than cashiers when its super busy. That was not the case today and I appreciate that A LOT! I would LOVE to thank their staff today for very fast service today.

This is by far the best store and chain. Too bad it 20 miles away. The store is always super clean,. The staff are helpful, friendly, and professional. The prices at this store are really good. Id shop here all the time if it was closer.

Funny was in shaws in Newport this am for an item...lady in front of me cart about a third full 170.00 $$...I shopped at MB in Claremont got a full cart $174.00 way better bargains feel bad for people who hav to shop shaws in Newport due to no transportation to MB in Claremont

Probably the greatest selection and lowest prices of all the major grocery chains in New England. This place is always bustling. The staff are well dressed and dont look like ragamuffins. They have a pretty good selection of fish, meats, and cheeses. And their produce is well rounded as well.

The dairy manager Matthew McConaughey of store # 53 is incredibly rude the things Ive heard him say makes me question the type of management that is allowed hes very contradicting everything that he does Ive seen him many times lie right out of his teeth I honestly dont think he should be trusted in management position or even to clean the finkel matter off the bathroom walls

They sometimes have really good prices at Market Basket, most of all baggers do not listen to you and youre not respect your wishes. Once in a while Ill actually get a bagger who is this to your concerns and bags the way you ask, and a cashier that listens to your request on what card youre using

Always clean, normally well stocked and a very busy little store.Many store brand items are good quality.Store check outs are very well manned, and line times are normally reasonable. Though when they are busy, even having every checkout open can leave customers waiting in line.Pricing is average for the area and often a great buy can be found.Cons, .... stocking of the shelves is a very common occurance throughout the day or evening in many isles. Be prepared to navigate around them as they are not likely to move, say excuse me, or even notice your intention to pass by.Deli is well appointed and offers rotisserie chicken and other fresh heated items. Fresh seafood is available with lobster steaming and such for free with purchase. Fresh meats and produce are normally well stocked with a nice selection. The bakery department is also offers a nice selection of pastry, breads, cakes, pies and more. A small Deli Style menu available and grab and go meals are normally available throughout the day and change often. Finger sandwiches, subs, salads and such with a limited supply.

I love this place! I am a proud kitchen witch, meaning I love to cook and try different foods all the time. Market Baskets has one of the best variety of different foods I have found so far on East coast! Beautiful wide aisles, for special cart needs or wheelchairs, And the people are the friendliest, most helpful of all! Thank you Market Basket!!

Market Basket is well stocked and items are easy to find as they never change there layout and most all of there stores are the same. Plenty of checkout lines and not a bunch of big fancy sales gimmicks just simple needs but most everything you need.

Didnt want to leave a review, but there isnt number to call or email. Cashier was very unprofessional. My crackers got crushed because the belt didnt stop. I asked to ring them out anyway and went to get new ones.Not only was she unpleasant from the start. She complained to the bagger about the situation right in front of my friend. This was my first time at this store. I will change the rating if someone contacts me. I have the womens name and what register she was on. She shouldnt be working there representing your store, if she doesnt like her job.

Great store but prices are a little steep on some items.

I was not impressed with my visit there this morning. Nobody likes grocery shopping anyways and I went through a line with a cashier that says she had been there 20 years. She was very rude and throwing our groceries down the belt. She told me significant other that her rule is to stay behind the blue line and she wasnt nice about it. He didnt know he was just passed it. Then she continued to throw or groceries to the lady bagging and discussing how her car drives by itself. The lady bagging look liked she was going to collapse. Not going back again to soon.

Always great prices without the hassle of coupons or memberships. Love going here, but try to go during off-peak hours based on Googles estimates.

Go to MB just to pick up sale items occasionally. During my last visit before I even got in the store the trash was overflowing out front. I noticed prices have increased to the point they’re comparable with nearby stores. Associates don’t seem real friendly or helpful, and are always in the aisle blocking the shelves with pallets or carts.

Extremely friendly staff always willing to lend a helping hand. This Market Basket is requiring masks except with medical exemption. Not always the cleanest store though there are rolls of paper towels on the floor under the freezers in an attempt to catch leaking water.
