I went to ask about a cello I purchased. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained in detail about the maker and the cello itself. He gave me the supplies I needed and his wife also gave me list of teachers near me. A great experience and highly recommended him! His pricing is reasonable especially considering he is an artistian who makes his own violins!!

Small, cozy, mom and pop shop. Had to wait 30 minutes while they finished up with another customer but thats what I wanted them to do for me. Rented a violin for my daughter. If you want quick and cheap, go to Sam Ash. If you want quality, knowledge, and attention, go here.

The owner, Mr. Brown is quite calm and very straight forward handling subject. But, its not bad. He seems very reasonable and has huge experienced skill of instruments. His wife used to dealing with customer, she is so friendly and very informative, sweet lady.I hope they have been keep operating as a good local instrument expert.

Jim and Debbie run a wonderful shop. As parents of a beginning violinist they were very patient and explained what the important functions of an instrument were and what he needed to really progress in his playing. It was very easy to see from the beginning that they really do care about their customers and make sure they are doing what is right by them

This professionally run string shop is the very best one between Temecula and the East side of LA....in the 15 - 10/210 corridor.I personally know Jim and Debbie Brown, they will go out of their way to help you with your needs. They have great instruments to sell and rent. Their bow collection for sale is one of the best in LA. They will personally help you with setup so your comfortable with an instrument with chin rest and shoulder rest. They have music books and sheet music and carry a wide variety. Mr. Brown is a trained luthier, so adjustments and repairs can be done right at the shop.Highly recommend for services and any instrument needs.

Hands down the best Violin shop in the local area. Mr. J Brown is a really nice man, along with his wife, his dogs and his cats that regularly inhabit his shop (be careful if you have allergies!). The shop allows you to rent or purchase amazing violins, violas, cellos and bass instruments, along with anything you need to go with it, repertoire, bows, stands, cute charms, jewlery, peg oil and keychains. They also charge reasonable repairs (warning he really doesnt like working on electric instruments but he can do it depending on what the issue is). Ive gotten several instruments repaired, bows rehaired and have sent students to rent really nice instruments for extremely reasonable rates, in addition, the contracts allow you to purchase the instrument after the end contract date rental agreement (much like a lease) for the full price of the instrument minus what you paid in total for the rental fees.
