Shopped at these stores for over 7 years....Spoke to someone on the phone, inquiring about a specific size of goalie ice hockey pads, and they said maam I will look 2 minutes later said we just have so many youth pads here youll have to come in and look at them to find your size.....so we did. There were 4 pairs only 1 of which was a youth size.The young guys at the counters were all on their phones and talking with one another, literally noone else was in the store. We asked if it was busier earlier. The guy said not at all.They guy could have looked for us. Waste of time. The website for Nashville shows their inventory so we went there instead.To the owner who didnt get HIS facts straight. How dare you. What kind of owner talks like this, clearly not a professional by any means. You need to go back to business school for customer service. I was not impatient and said and I quote okay, no problem. I also did not ask you over the phone if you were busy. My husband asked the young guy with dark hair and blue eyes who was checking his phone in his right pocket, if yall were busy that day. I said to you on the phone after you told me to just come on down to the store because you couldnt go check and see, that we would be right in to look around and even thanked you so not sure how that QUESTIONED YOUR INTEGRITY. Called Nashville and asked the same question, that store is twice as busy with a far larger inventory, and the gentleman also put me on hold but gave me the answers I needed and how to find everything step by step on the website and even offered to email and took the time to care and look up specifics. Now that store provides service.

Recently got some tennis balls from here, which got me thinking. (They were great by the way)My Rottweiler usually sleeps in the garage so I let him in there a few minutes ago, forgetting that I had laid a few mouse traps in there. The dog is still young and has testicles the size of tennis balls. Apparently he was dragging those bad boys along the ground and got em snapped in a trap! That dog is very angry right now, and wont let me get close enough to help. I tried to shoot him with a horse tranquilizer but I missed and popped my tire, so now I cant even drive him to the vet. My plan now is have my 4year old approch him from the front while I sneak up behind with a tire iron, wish me luck!

Guess my expectations were different. Not a ton of used stuff, what was there was basically as expensive as new...TONS of baseball and softball equipment. If thats what youre looking for, thats great. It wasnt what I was looking for. Been to other Play It Again Sports stores, just had a better variety of items.

I drive from Pleasant View to purchase weight plates from this store. They have a great selection. You will not find a better price. His prices easily beat anything I have seen online. They are always friendly and always offer to help me take the plates out to the car. I highly recommend this store.

Although the store has a decent selection of both new and used equipment, be aware you will pay for it. I asked if they would price match the manufacturer for the same piece of equipment and was told that she would check with the owner, then walked away. She returned and said no, and she didn’t want to bother the owner. I instead purchased the same item from the manufacturer and saved $70 after paying for the shipping.

My son and I left this location today after being treated poorly, with the intention of not returning. We brought in baseball items to sell. We were not greeted in a welcoming manner and in fact we were barely spoken to. Neither employee looked up price comparisons, but instead carried around one of the three items we brought in hitting it on the ground multiple times (we brought in 3 of the same pieces of equipment and they were barely used). They rejected 2 of them and offered a ridiculously low amount for the final item. Upon arrival, we were immediately met at the door and harassed about wearing a mask...keep in mind, we have been in the store several times over the last few weeks and were never asked by an employee to wear a mask and weve seen other customers not wearing masks. (I did put on a mask upon entering.) We moved here from Sarasota, FL, where we have bought and sold often from Play it Again Sports there and we have never been treated and made to feel there the way we were treated at this location. We both left feeling insulted and unwanted. We will take our business elsewhere. Id rather pay full price somewhere else than be treated poorly unwarranted. It is a shame to feel this way when customers just want to do business locally. And sincerely, our intention not to return is based more on how we were treated than on whether or not we were able to sell our equipment here. Customer service and kindness go a long way.

Zero stars. Went in to inquire about weights for a home gym. They received a large shipment of wright fitness bumper plates and steel plates ranging from 10lb - 45lb, and they are overpriced compared to what wright actually sells on their website. Also, there were CAP brand Curl bars priced at $99.00, that we went Academy and got the same exact CAP brand curl bar for $35.00. This place is upcharging by a lot and their reasoning was COVID. I understand supply and demand, but taking advantage of a bad situation, Covid19, to make $$$ is just bad business practice, PR, and an overall ethics violation.

Ok. They dont give anything for trades. Limited selection. High prices.

Great place to find hard to get equipment

They have great products and the ability to trade in used equipment to offset the cost of new items is a great help. Phil the owner is a great person who on this visit was off but accepted and made 7 phone calls helping us narrow down the best fastpitch softball glove or baseball glove for our daughter that will last through her high school career and possibly into hopefully her college career. That caring and helpful character has led me over the last 7 yrs to keep coming back for almost all (90%) of our athletic needs. I recommend this store definitely with five stars.

A bit pricey for used equipment and some is in rough shape. Other the other hand you might find that item you cant seem to find used anywhere else.

Over priced wasnt worth the look

I went in yesterday to get everything I needed for my son’s soccer league and the sales associate was very helpful! She showed me where everything I needed was and even personally made sure everything fit him correctly before we left. I didn’t have to do anything which was amazing since I was shopping with a 2 year old and a 4 year old. I will definitely be back!!

As the owner, Id like to communicate that layaway has not changed and includes all product lines, including golf equipment. Layaway is available for many items and is a great way for customers to afford higher priced items by paying over time. It is not available for low priced items or products of limited quantities such as one golf club. Remember to bring in your used equipment to trade for our gear. Ive been there many many times. Its always a great experience. Very clean, great staff, and tons to choose from.

What a great experience we had. Bought a treadmill in 2011 from this store and returned to see what they had. We arrived at 0840 but store did not open until 0900. As we turned around to leave, Phil pulled up in the parking lot and opened the door and let us in early. We found one that we liked and made the arrangements for delivery and removal of the old one. I had a last minute appointment come up that conflicted with our scheduled delivery. Called and worked it out as well. Lets hope I get the same value out of this one that I did the other. Phil, thanks again for everything!

Good enough joint, tucked back a bit off the main drag. I missed their turn, and so did the schmoe behind me. Lots available, new and used. Pricing seems mostly reasonable. Friendly service. Theyll buy your old stuff so you can buy theirs. That makes some kinda sense.

This business won’t even put a grip on a putter unless you buy it from them. They said it was a liability issue. It’s not worn out tires that could kill people!!! Makes zero sense. Only about money. Take your business elsewhere

Very big store compared to others I have been to in Texas and in Illinois. Seemed to be family owned and operated as the father and son both helped me when I had a question about some skate bearings. Large selection, prices seemed fair for everything that I looked at.

I will never buy from this location again. The owner is now working in the store and changed the layaway policy and it cant be golf equipment. He just lost alot of customers. Especially since I previously bought alot of clubs from that location along with friends.
