What an amazing company... Darrow Heating and Cooling was the ONLY a/c company that actually answered the phone, they gave me a same day appointment, they kept me informed on their arrival and got my a/c back on for a very low price. Darrow Heating and Air dispatched two guys who were so extremely knowledgeable and explained in great detail what our 103 year old home needed to be more energy efficient AND referred us to some local contractors to help us reach our goal. I would and will refer Darrow to my family and friends in a heartbreat.

Was recommended by family. I gave Chad a call due to air conditioning problems, he was very quick on coming out to check out the unit. Upon checking out my unit Chad informed me that my heat exchanger had rust holes causing potential harm of carbon monoxide poisoning. We had just recently bought this house and had no idea the home inspection didn’t catch it. With that being said we sat down looked at some options then I purchased a new unit then scheduled him to come back and replace our 30 year old unit. The guys came out a week later and installed our brand new unit they were quick and professional and we were excited to have A/C again. About a month later Chad called to check on us and see how the unit was doing and it wasn’t really performing like I had hoped. Chad came back out and checked the unit then came in the house and used his temp gun to gauge the temp in the house, well come to find out the unit was working great and my problem was excessive heat from the attic due to poor insulation which was causing the inside temp issue. I started pricing insulation for the attic and right before I was about to pull the trigger on it I had a phone call from Chad, he said I want to help you out! Let me insulate your attic no charge! I was speechless I said if you really want to I would love for you too! Him and he’s guys came out blew insulation in the attic while I grilled them some lunch. He also bought and installed gable vents along with installing a bigger return under the house all for no charge to me. Chad and he’s guys by my opinion have went way above and beyond and I am so thankful for he’s acts of kindness and helping us out the way that he did. I highly recommend these guys!

He knocked on my door and let me know, which was perfect timing because I noticed my ac was not blowing out very cold air. This company went above and beyond in helping me out. Best experience Ive ever had with a/c repair! My a/c went out in the middle of the night and I called several places and no one could get out here for several days. I called Darrow and he said hed be at my house between 10 and noon and he would call. He called me at exactly 11. So super punctual which is unheard of now a days. Gets here and takes a look and walks me through the issue. Friendliest guy Ive ever met in my life btw and I found out he was the owner. Was only here about 45 mins and fixed the problem and my a/c works better than it did before and the whole thing cost me less than a trip to the grocery store. I will never call anyone else!

Our AC went out today and my landlord contacted Chad Darrow to come and fix it. He was here and had it fixed within 45 minutes. Long story short, we are under home warranty and the warranty company called a shotty HVAC company to come out. Darrow Heating and cooling was the company that did our original home inspection. After wasting $$ we called and talked to Chad. He offered to have someone come out free of charge to do a check. Had a great experience today with these guys. Just moved out here from out of town and there google reviews dont disapoint. I called at 8am and they were out at 11am to fix my heat pump and had no issues working with my home warranty for payment. Thanks to them and there quick help I was only without heat for 12 hours. Will be using them and there maintenance package they offer for many years to come. Keep up the great work.

Chad came to my rescue this time last year. My AC was not working efficiently, so the humidity level in the house was 70-80% and clothes were growing mold in my closet! He diagnosed the problem (dirty Freon from either faulty installation or sloppy maintenance from another company) and took care of it. This summer, I’m cool and dry and am saving $20 + a month on cooling costs. Good man and good company.

He ordered our new unit that was suppose to arrive the next day. The unit didn’t arrive and he drove to Alabama and picked it up and was here the next and installed it during a terrible storm. We told him not, but he insisted we would not be without air another day! After talking more with Chad we learned he is a good Christian, Family man with impeccable work ethics. I highly recommend Darrow heating & Cooling. Chad was very knowledgeable, and through with explaining the problem and gave me a clear plan for what he would do to repair the HVAC Packaged Unit. I feel Darrow is honest and trustworthy. When I called Darrow, they were on site the next day and paired the unit the same day because they had the parts needed on their truck.Prior to calling Darrow, I had a different company from my Residential Warranty company who sent a tech who said he needed to replace the compressor and blower motor. I did not feet the other company were being honest. They were going to replace parts that did not need to be replaced.Darrow has the proper testing equipment to show that the compressor and blower motor were not defective. With other testing equipment, Darrow was able to locate the problem; the single run and dual run capacitors were defective. Instead of paying $2,800 with the other dishonest company; Darrow repaired our HVAC Packaged Unit for just a few hindered dollars.I am very pleased with Darrow and will call upon then again should I have other HVAC or Electrical needs.
