My check engine light was on so I took my car in to have it checked. They ran a test and saw what the issue was. However, my car never acted up for them. Frank told me he didnt want to replace something that might not be the issue. Being a women I appreciate that he didnt just replace was the machine said was the issue to make a dollar. I would highly recommend Coachman Automotive.

Highly recommend! Easily one of the best shops I’ve worked with. They were so incredibly helpful and efficient with my vehicle. They took a problem I’ve had for a little over a year and fixed it (and indirectly fixed another issue) in a matter of three days. They called me and updated me with every decision they made and pricing was great. I have a heavily modified 02 wrangler that I’ve taken to other shops with little success. I won’t be going anywhere else going forward.

I’ve been coming here since 2015 with probably 7 different cars and frank ALWAYS does us well. He won’t let you spend unnecessarily either, always honest and strait up. Lots of cool American armed forces history in this place. They even got an exact replica of the Florida electric chair, Old Sparky. The nice guy that gives you the tour is very knowledgeable. I Definitely recommend everybody check this place out.

Very honest and caring mechanics here. I am a new customer, but will not be taking my car anywhere else. I came in with an engine knock having been told I needed to replace the engine and quoted over $4000.00 from two other mechanics. Frank quoted me less than this, but told me it may be the timing belt and he would have to open the engine to see. Turns out it was the timing belt and water pump and cost around $700.

Fixed my broken door handle with great service. Price was reasonable also. Would recommend.

We are new to Clearwater, Florida. Coachman Auto was highly recommended by a few of our neighbors. A few months back, I took my daughters 2009 Nissan Murano in for a radiator replacement. Frank Jr was very nice, professional and honest. He told me the cost upfront and that the Nissan would be ready by 2:00 the same day. Frank called just before 2:00 and the job was done. Yesterday, the A/C compressor went out on the same Nissan. Got a good price from Frank Sr. and he told me I could bring her car in tomorrow when they open at 7:30. Both my daughter and I are very pleased with Coachman Auto. We will never take our cars anywhere else. They DO NOT take advantage of women and are extremely polite, honest and professional. Had them change the oil on my 2012 Jetta for my sister to drive to Maryland in and on her drive ALL of the oil leaked out. This has literally NEVER happened until they changed my oil. Literally $80 plus the $30 spent on the drive for nothing. Would not recommend you bring your VW here.

So hard to find an honest mechanic. The guy I believe runs that place, (Frank) knows Im clueless when it comes to cars. Out of the six times my wife and I have brought our cars in for maintenance, one time he told me the problem was our car was short a quart of oil, and the other time he told me the squeaking brakes were temporary and we had at least a year left. Both times he could have taken advantage of us, and I walked out with a bill for four bucks for the oil and the other time with a free brake inspection.

I needed a fuel pump and filter put in a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country. It was a job I couldnt do myself since it was on top of the gas tank. I was quoted 150$ with my parts. It was a fair price. Job was done fast and my van runs well again.

Called at 8:30 am saying my alternator was out and they were the closest, had it towed there by 9:30 and I had my car back before 4. They also did an oil change. Cannot say enough about the fast response and fair pricing. I will be returning for all of my car needs.

Went in for a battery for my wifes car. Swapped out under manufacturers warranty, they put air in the tires and I left. 15 minutes max, great experienceUpdate!Just went back they swapped out the battery even though it was after hours. Had two vehicles serviced there today. 2009 Ford F150 had all fluids drained and changed (transmission, brake, and cooling system) and Induction Service.2007 Toyota Rav4 oil change only. I was very pleased with the service and will certainly use them again. Much better pricing than the dealership and they seem much more trustworthy.

Excellent! After years of attempts and more than my share of apparently finding the worst mechanics in the area.. Im relieved to finally have found Coachman Automotive..a very clean, well run, fully equipped place that handles business like professionals. They were honest, the cost was very fair, the service was done quicker than estimated and Frank went out of his way to make things right. Its never fun taking a car in for repair but always good to know youre in capable hands when the time comes. They made my experience there as close to a pleasure as a car repair can be. If youre tired of being ripped off or taken advantage of do yourself a favor and go to Coachman Automotive. As far as my experience goes, I have found them to be the best in the area bar none. They might know what they are doing, but charge 4 times more for part than others. and total is not what they tell you . Not honest practice, be aware. BAD first and for sure last experience.

Extremely frustrated and pissed off!I have taken my vechical here for two separate repairs then had to go to another mechanic to fix their repairs. Customer service was very bipolar, it felt like I was walking on egg shells everytime I called to get an update on repairs. Because of this company, Ive wasted money on something that they should have caught in the first place. They will never see me again.

Frank Senior and Frank Junior are honest mechanics that do a good job. Take your car here before you go to the dealer. dont even waste your money! I have been coming here since 2014 with my truck and car and they are great. I have compared them to dealer quotes many timesnand they have saved me THOUSANDS of dollars in better pricing and letting me know what was not improtant that the dealers added on.

I have a 2003 RAV4, and it had a variety of problems (electrics, a leak, etc.). Coachman Auto actually did a complete diagnostic and investigation of all of my concerns totally for free!! and in the end, they were (Frank and his team were) extremely honest about what needed to be done and what could wait/not be done. They also seem to have solved or at least mostly solved a very complex leak problem. And, much work was done for less than $400 total! I would highly recommend them! Nicki

Probably the worst experience with a mechanic that ive ever had. I went to Coachman because my usual mechanic was backed up 3 weeks. I needed a simple brake job done. Replace brake pads and rotors cut. I provided the mechanic with the pads. I was told my brake caliper was broken so I had to pay $200 to fix it on my Lexus. Didnt mind. I was also given a hard time about having my rotors cut. But after talking to the actual mechanic and not Frank I was able to just have them cut. My bill was $406. Went on my way and that was it. About a day later or so I started hearing a serious vibration in my right front tire. I took it back after about a week and they put my car up on the lift and started to take my tires off and in doing so started snapping off my lug nuts. 6 in total. So i had to pay to replace the lug bolts on my hub. Still annoyed but it was nothing too serious so I paid it and left. The next day a Check VSC light came on in my car. I was feeling extremely aggravated so I took my car to my usual mechanic and paid an $80 diagnostic fee. My mechanic found that Coachman put my left hub on the right side and my right on the left. This was going to require about $250 in labor to switch them back. I called Coachman and calmly told them what the issue was. This is when I was screamed at by FRANK that HE WAS DONE WITH ME, HE WASNT FIXING IT...etc etc I honestly couldnt believe how this company was treating a paying customer. I had given them almost $500 and went in for a simple brake job. Now I know why people stick with one mechanic and NEVER use another one. Im not one to write reviews about companies but felt obligated to after this terrible experience.

Bad service! And over charges. Wanted to charge over $1200 to fix my ac, I got quoted $350 elsewhere, when I told them I didnt want to have it fixed there, and I was coming to pick it up, they keyed my door, then claimed it wasnt them (hello, it was in there shop). Later my son when there, and they kept his personal items after his car was declared totaled and had to be towed to a salvage yard.
