Victor was professional and courteous. He and his assistant, Rich worked steadily the whole time they were here. They arrived and after greeting me and answering a few questions, immediately started to move furniture and cover my floors with tarps. They installed a new heatpump including a new, elevated pad outside and an air handler in the attic. The whole process was done in a day. I was impressed as there were challenges. I would recommend Victor and Rich at Velocity anytime.

This company helped me, when other other companies would not! My AC was blowing hot air. My Unit was over 14 yrs old and needed to be replaced. It took a few days to get my Financing together. Special Shout out to Marlo in the office, who went above and beyond customer service checking in on me at every stage of the process. Randall and Calob came out & installed the new unit inside /outside. They were very professional and courteous. This is an excellent company I will continue to do business with in the future!

I found this Company on Home Advisor, and was really hesitant to schedule with them due to my past experiences with AC Companies, but WOW was I wrong.. The Customer service was excellent, I spoke to Megan, shes a Manager there so I knew I was in good hands.. she was really informative about how to schedule my appointment, and so friendly.. she was very pleasant and helpful! I was called the morning of my appointment by a very nice woman to make sure I would still be home and ready for the technician to arrive, that was very helpful because it let me know they didnt forget about me. Then the technician came and was very knowledgeable, showed me exactly what was wrong and told me it was repairable, even showed me a way to save money on the repair by getting their membership which comes with preventative maintenance that the system needs. I cant say enough good things about this Company! They have definitely earned a loyal customer. Thanks so much!

The installers were awesome!! Very knowledgeable, professional, answered all my questions. Explained everything they were doing, even asked if it was ok to move the condenser over because the dryer vent was blowing on the unit. Im very satisfied with their service. We knew we needed a new AC unit. After reading all the great reviews we decided to take a chance. Had a technician came out and I got a estimate. They said they did in house financing so I told them I would finance half the price. Come to find out they dont have in house financing, without my permission they applied for credit with a company that charges 28% interest. Not the beginning I thought. Next day they came out to install my unit. Paperwork completed I tell the technician the vents are blowing hot air,he says give it a hour. Not what I was expecting. Went to dinner came back at 8:30 3 hours after installation still blowing hot air. Called the after hours number now they say it must be my filter. REALLY not satisfied with this company. They should come back tomorrow and check it. Doesnt help me tonight.

Bill was such a good person. He explained every problem and explained the solution. I had my coils cleaned and an ultra violet light put in so that the bacteria that was growing (without my knowledge) would stop any further growth and clean up the remainder. It was more $$ than I wanted to spend but I felt comfortable with Bill and his assessment of my AC unit.

Oct. 28, 2021Velocity Air installed a new HVAC system in my home 2 years ago and I have had them out to my home 3 times since then because my AC was not functioning. Even though the new system came with a 10 year warranty, of course nothing has been covered under that warranty! And every time someone comes out to service my unit they are always trying to upsell something ludicrous extra to make it function better. Mind you, this system IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD!!!!! I am so over it because now, once again, my AC is not functioning and I cant wait to hear what the problem is thats not covered under the warranty! At this point I can say that I definitely would not recommend this company to anyone. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!!!!!!!!

The technician Foster (and I’m mentioning his name because he was so kind and helpful) came out and found my 15 year old system filled with growth that looked a lot like mold.. on top of that I had a leak inside the coils. He said he could try to repair the system but I knew my time had come so I asked for a new system price. He quoted me a very reasonable price. The even better thing was they were out the next day to replace the system. My electric bills have been cut in half. Great company and great technicians. Thank you guys

Called because A/C stopped blowing air. They came out the same day and told it was the blower motor. They came out the next day only to discover they had been sent the wrong part. They sent a tech out with an emergency motor so we would have A/C until our part came in. The tech noticed the duct had come off the back of the unit and was wet so he could not put in the emergency motor until it was fixed. Velosity went above and beyond by sending out a portable A/C unit to keep us cool until all the repairs, including replacing a portion of the duct work that was wet, could be done. They did all of this for the original price quoted to us.

SCAM! I bought my AC through velocity, so when it broke under warranty (parts only), I called to get it repaired. I heard the AC tech outside on the phone being told how to INCREASE the labor rate from the estimate I’d been given.Edit: After thinking about it.. How does velocity have a 4.6 star google rating when they’re a bad company? With a lower 3.5 star Angie’s score? And with almost 2000 reviews? Smells like they buy google reviews to me. BEWARE

A/C stopped working suddenly. Called several repair services that failed to call back. Called Velocity, and even though my call went to an after hours call center, I received a call back within 15 minutes. They arranged for a technician to arrive between 7-9pm. Jordon arrived at 7 and had the house cooling down by 7:30. Jordon was polite, personable and proficient. Overall great experience.

My parents had their A/C unit starting to go out so went through a directory and was sent to Velocity. Within the hour the technician came to their house and did a through inspection. Eric was very friendly and didnt have the business man spiel to try and get business. He gave a great estimate that they were content with and also came the next day and had the new system installed within 3 hours. Highly recommend!

I had Velocity come out to see why our air handler was leaking, after they supposedly checked the system they told me I needed all new duct work!😳 For a mere $13,000! After getting a 2nd opinion, it turns out I just need a better drain pain! WHAT A SCAM! DON’T USE unless you like paying for work that doesn’t need to be done! Then their manager still tried to talk me into using them, trying to make it seem like the other AC guy doesn’t know what their doing!

Our A/C went out and living in FL. during the summer is critical to have air. Drew was here in no time and explained and showed us the issue with our ac. Foster came out to my house and found my compressor was bad. my system was out of warranty so i decided to install a new system. he even had another tech drop off a portable ac system to help me survive. the next day i had a new system put in and the whole time i had ac. this was a great process. thank you velocity!

This is the only company I’ve ever written a review for because they are so awful. They cleaned my indoor coils for 800$ and then they malfunctioned. I hired another company, and they replaced them for 500$. My tennants have said the system never worked better after i hired air quality control. I paid 3000$ to velocity and 500$ Air quality control . Nothing but complaints from my tennants when I used velocity nothing but compliments when I used air quality control. Should be mentioned that I signed up for their gold plan. Really frustrating this company is the worst!

I called velocity air to come out for their summer special coupon of a system check and condenser coil cleaning for $65. They came out and told my unit would cost $1800 dollars to have the air handler coils cleaned and machine serviced. They also insisted I needed a capacitor replaced urgently. They then proceeded to recommend my system be replaced because it didn’t seem cost effective to spend such money on repairs on a 10year old unit when a new unit was only a little more and came with a warranty. It all felt like a sales pitch.I got a second opinion. Not only did I have my system full serviced by licensed professionals in the business for over 20years for less than half of what velocity quoted me. The professionals at no point in time recommend I needed a capacitor changed. They also told me the condenser coils were filthy. A service that was allegedly done durning my velocity service visit. They also informed me my HVAC system had plenty of life left and didn’t need to be replaced anytime soon.Consider getting a second opinion. Might save you a lot of money.

I asked the technician to check the thermostat after explaining what it was doing. Shutting off on it own over night and ignoring the programmed schedule during the day. He flushed my system and put solvent and tablets in the pan, charged me $165 and NEVER checked the thermostat. Saying that the lines were backing up causing my thermostat to shut off. I had already cleared the lines on my own and while they did have some calcification in them they were no longer backing up and causing the system to shut down. This morning I awoke to the thermostat off again and after changing the batteries, yet again, it still has not initiated.

I have all good things to say about the employees, service, knowledge, quality of workmanship, friendliness, etc. Dylan was on point with pricing and descriptions of services needed and why. My installer technicians Carl and Tom were professional, competent, and efficient as well as happy to be here (who doesnt love a happy employee???) The quality system they installed is quiet and does a great job of heating and cooling the house. I couldnt be more pleased! These guys are the best!!! :)

We had them to install a new air conditioner, all of a sudden it started breaking every month, they would come and repair but for at least $400-$500 per repair - saying it is Florida, it is normal. Last visit they demanded additional $100 for reprogramming a new thermostat (on a top of the $400 for the repair). The last technician would not move a finger without you paying additional $$ or hell leave you dying without air, to our luck we had his manager phone number.

I’ve had Velocity do my last 2 years of routine maintenance on my unit, which was fine. This year we found some mold and put in a UV light, which is fine as well. At the time of my last maintenance and uv light install, the tech discussed the A/C service plan that is $139 a year. Includes tune up I believe, $49 emergency calls, etc.My A/C stopped working late in the day and of course I didn’t know what to do. I called Velocity after hours (7:45pm) on their 813 and 727 phone numbers and left a message with the people on their answering Service. 1.5 hours later, nothing. So I started calling friends, neighbors, etc. After diagnosing with friends over phone, pictures, etc, determined my fuse blew. I then went thru the process of finding someone in neighborhood with one at 10pm to replace it. Finally, I, me, myself fixed the unit. Took a lot of time and frustration.Now it’s the next morning, and still no phone call from Velocity. I’m upset with the lack of customer service from Velocity. I don’t want to hear excuses of being understaffed, someone is sick, answering service is poor, etc. I’m paying for a service that you’re not providing and as a consumer, none of those issues are my problem. Sorry, not sorry.Additionally, I called to have the service contract cancelled. The rep asked why and I told her. She then said we’ll cancel it and hung up on me. No confirmation email or #, nothing. This goes along with me calling Velocity a few weeks back and leaving a few different messages with people. I wanted to have my service put on hold and/or transferred as I’m going to sell my current house and build a new one. Each time they said they’ll pass it along to a manager. Even one of them said, manager will call you Monday to discuss. I forgot her name, but never a phone call. Lack of follow up and customer service is very poor. I will never recommended Velocity Air to anyone going forward. I’m looking forward to the possible snarky comment to my review.

My AC unit was forming ice, so I called Velocity to check it. Eric arrived the same day and on time. He informed me that my unit was cracked and leaking Freon. He gave me the prices to repair or replace the unit. I decided to replace the system since I would have needed to replace it in a couple of years anyway. Eric was nice and put in more Freon for free until the installation appt.The AC system was replaced on Sunday, but the heater wasnt installed as they didnt have the equipment to install it so I made an appt for Friday. They didnt show, but the manager, Payton called and informed me there was a delay in the delivery of the heater and thats why they couldnt make the scheduled appointment. He said he could come Saturday morning and install the heater himself which he did. It only took him a half hour to complete the job. He was very kind and apologized for the delay and took the time to explain about my outdated electrical panel that they can work on if I need to. I also spoke to Hallie who was very kind and patient. She went ahead and sent me a copy of the permit and certificate to my email and scheduled the inspection. I decided to go ahead and give 4 stars because of them and Eric

5 yr old old system ..was just wanting the maintenance check advertised . first guy comes out says system looks great . he didnt clean coils like the ad stated. Said all good and left and 3 hours later ac cuts off . makes crazy noise I called and they could only send tech back next day so guess we were on our own. Tech came out next day and said $200 the drain needed cleaning . so we gave $200 cash and receipt was suppose to email and never got it..AND understand our system had no problems we were trying be proactive on having a maintenance done . . Every since velocity touched Our system weve had nothing but problems . so when they called to send a 3rd tech out I said no thank you I do not ever want velocity touching my system ever again . therefore I absolutely do NOT recommend this company#velocity the name is Tony Stewart of lakeland fla ....and as I said no thanks and I told yall I would be putting an honest review...

Unfortunately, we had our AC break at 12 am on August 2nd. We called Velocity and they scheduled a tech to come out first thing in the morning. And they did arrive as scheduled. We had an amazing customer service experience with Jarrett and he helped us get set up with our system and get it cooling as fast as possible. (We will request him every time moving forward :)) Tyler- the owner even gave us a personal call to check up on us and make sure we were treated well through the whole process.We originally had velocity replace the motor and the capacitor- but- last night on august 11… Duke energy has a major surge and our entire system fried- just our luck of course- bringing a new baby home for the first day and BAM! Had to call and schedule Jarrett to come out in the AM to take a look. He went into the attic, and she mrs every single option to help us out- but ultimately the system was electrically fried.By 7 am we had a phone call and someone scheduled for 8 am arrival (Jarrett of course) and we were on our way to a new AC unit. Scott arrived to drop off Temp AC during the install and we are now just waiting for the new AC to arrive.If you’re looking for a caring, understanding and honest company- you should check out velocity air conditioning for all your AC needs.

Dylan arrived promptly. He got the air conditioner started and then showed me a huge amount of mold spread throughout the blower. No one who had been here over the last four years had shown me that! I knew before Dylan arrived that the unit needed to be replaced. However, I was going to have two more estimates before I made a decision. His showing me the mold, settled the issue right then and there. I am replacing the unit and they will be here tomorrow. The cost of the unit appears fair and the maintenance program is great. I am so glad I found this company and they arrived first.

Excellent in all aspects. Another AC company who did original installation would not even answer my call when unit broke down. I called Air Velocity who sent someone the same day to diagnose the problem. They handled the parts warranty with the manufacturer. They charged the price for labor that they quoted. They also answered all of my questions.

Please bring your business somewhere else. (Specifically, not the Velocity in Tampa/Clearwater)Despite the fact the office workers who answer the phone are very kind and that I have had one HVAC installer (Roberto) who also seemed knowledgeable, the rest of the staff, primarily administration, were poorly organized and aggressive following my request for their many errors to be addressed.The unit was purchased from this company in 2016. They installed it incorrectly and the city had to come out twice to approve the installation. Following some maintenance from them, I was so disappointed in their unreliable professionalism and services that I began utilizing another company.Recently a part in my AC unit broke, and due to the afternoon timing of my call, I resorted to calling Velocity. I was told that the part I needed was unavailable and had to be shipped to them and that my mechanical issues would be resolved the next day. That next day I called the office to verify the part was ordered and that the services they quoted could be completed as well as to get an estimated time for installation so I could personally alter my patient schedule.I received no confirmation that the part was ordered, despite multiple phone calls, until 12:15 when I told one of the managers at Velocity that I found another HVAC installer who conspicuously obtained the part I needed in 30 minutes and also coordinated their schedule honestly for later that evening.Aside from receiving an invoice for several hundred dollars for a service that was not verified let alone completed, I utilized my unplanned day off work to call the manufacturer of my air conditioning unit to learn that I was conveniently never provided the paperwork for my extended warranty and that my unit was never registered-- had it been, it would have covered the cost of this entire ordeal (except for labor, of course).

The tech came out for an initial inspection and immediately saw mold in the air handler but warned that cleaning it keeps that problem at bay for a few months. He showed me the compressor power draw was 13+ amps which was very high and very costly and it was low on refrigerant. Rather than chase those problems on an 8 year old unit, I agreed to replace the whole system which would guarantee me quieter operation, lower power bills, and cleaner air. They were prompt and efficient at inspection and installation.The reason for the low stars is, it isnt quieter... its louder. So if that wasnt true, will my power bill be lower in a month or 2 when temperature goes up? I dont know how much power the new unit draws. The air handler is clean and new, but I cant tell if the air coming out of the vents is any cleaner. After spending 7k I wanted to know that I got some great benefit, but as of right now, I dont have that confidence.

Charles Sorrenson was sent out to replace the old breaker box after it shorted out for a larger one with surge protection. He was polite, explained what he was doing and what was code. Very knowledgeable . He came several times. Always on time and keeping in communication throughout the project. He was clean and efficient. These people preyed upon my senior parents. They installed an ac system without hooking it up to the ducts and drainage. All the moisture had nowhere to go, so it went into the attic, seeped through to the living room and collapsed the ceiling. All of the ceilings in the main part of the house had to be replaced (ALL of them) and the attic treated for mold. Now, months later and thinking that the worst was over, their heater, also installed by Velocity, stopped working. They get someone over to look at it today, 12-15-17, and they discover that the thermostat box was upside down, the wires had been installed in the wrong places, the housing was melted, and the wiring was melted. The tech who found it said that for there to be this much melt damage, the box had to have been sparking. This is in the attic over their bedroom. I wonder, had it caught on fire all the way, would my senior parents have survived? Would Velocity have THEN tried to make good?The first four photos are of the melted wiring and box. The last two photos are of the props needed to keep the ceiling up until it could be fixed. For the love of what you hold most dear, do NOT let these people touch your home.

My AC went out, unit was only 5 years old. Velocity convinced us to replace it. it was installed on 1/2/19 They assured me that the new AC would never leak because it was aluminum. A couple days after the install, it quit working. I called the office, they sent out Jason. Jason killed the power to our whole house. I go outside to see what happened & this guy is in his van, leaving! I tried to stop him. His response was “I don’t know anything about that” They had someone come out & fix it. I was without power in my home for a few hours because of that tech. inspection time came, they failed! The electrical was not to code. They had to come back out & correct the electrical.2 years later, our AC stops working. I called velocity to come out. They sent a guy out. He said the evaporator coil was bad, the condenser was damaged & my unit needed 30 pounds of coolant. I was livid! How did the exact problem occur in this new, state of the art unit that they assured me would never leak!? I asked for a supervisor, I then spoke to James. He Insisted he would have someone here, first thing in the morning for a second opinion. I paid the $50 and waited for their tech on Monday. No one ever showed up. Megan, Called the owner & arranged for their “master tech” to come out. Craig arrived to discover not one thing was wrong they claimed. I had a bent duct. The duct was all bent up where it was attached to the AC. He goes outside to call James. He also said he would have someone bring out a portable AC unit. Again, none of this happened.James called and said it looks like his tech made a mistake but, he can replace my ductwork! He called back saying the one duct was $900 to replace! The one they improperly installed to begin with. I told him Megan said the owner was giving me a discount. (Velocity did not install all the ductwork but did have to attach that main return to the AC when they installed it) He hung up. James then calls back & says they will be here at 11AM to replace the duct. He will do it for $600.Tues morning, James calls AFTER they were already late, he says he cannot honor the promised price. I requested the owner to call me, AGAIN! No call from the owner. I’m actually quite sure they replaced my 5 year old unitunnecessarily. it was having the exact same issue, 2 years ago. Had they inspected the ductwork as they claim they did, I wouldn’t of replaced the unit. They also were paid to clean & sanitize all ductwork. If they cleaned it & sanitized it, they should of noticed it was not installed properly as they’re now claiming.Imagine, if I had just believed their tech and paid the $1500 quote to fix the parts he claimed were broken. Of course, the manager is making excuses for him.Day 5 they finally send 2 guys out to replace the return duct. The one guy immediately noticed the drain pipe is wrong. Then, I’m inside when I suddenly smell a strong sewage odor. When I asked what the smell was, they stated “whoever installed the drain did it wrong.” Apparently the water from my AC unit had been backing up into the main return duct which caused the duct to deteriorate & collapse. The noise I was hearing was the inside of the duct, coming unattached from the outside. This caused it to block airflow & the unit froze up. He did call his supervisor and let him know. I paid the bill, and called the office. I told them I did not feel this was my responsibility to fix since it was them that did not install it properly. no one verified cooling temps or that the system was hooked up again. This was also obvious when the unit wouldn’t turn on. They had to turn the breakers back on. This just verified that nothing was tested or filled, prior to completion Iwas told we needed coolant & the coils cleaned, that wasn’t done. This entire mess was created and compounded due to Velocity AC & their negligence. Had they completed the job properly, 2 years ago, we would not be here, now

Bill came to perform maintenance on the system since I had moved in 2-1/2 months ago after purchasing the home. He began by cleaning some drain lines and spoke with me about a UV light. When he looked at the coils of the system, he showed me how dirty they were. He was knowledgeable and helpful; he helped me arrange financing for a new system due to the very poor care of the current system. I would recommend him and this company.

Erik from Velocity Air Conditioning came out to our place today. Our air conditioning stopped working last night and we were able to get them over here early the next morning to check it out. It was not an easy fix but he persevered and found the issue and fixed it, including putting something into the drain pan to help prevent the issue in the future. Great service!

If I could give them zero stars I would. Here is my experience with velocity. I call velocity to have a look at my malfunctioning unit they do some work that cost $1236. I also signed up for their gold package. No biggie right unit fixed. Nope two weeks later the fan blade spins off the unit. I have never heard this happen to a single unit ever. I call them they come out to my rental property, I don’t receive any phone calls or anything. My tennants call me and say yeah the tech came out and said they needed to speak to you. I am talking to my tennant s but the tech refused to speak to me on their phone. I assure you I was waiting on velocity’s call. Ok we sort that out I speak to the owner, very nice guy. He tells me they need a part it will be there Monday. Monday comes no part, it will be there Tuesday. Part arrives the tech comes out to the the property and says I need more parts. So it has been 4 days at this point. Kudos to them they replaced the outside compressor as compensation. Fast forward a week the unit freezes up tech comes out services it, cool it’s fixed right….nope. A week later it freezes again tech fixes it and says the coils need to be cleaned. Ok I’ll have them cleaned, a 736$ procedure. I call make an appointment on Monday no one shows up and I receive no call. We waited around for them, I call them they say I didn’t confirm my appointment. That’s ok I call and reschedule for the next day. The tech shows up and needs to talk to me (the landlord) I receive no phone call and he leaves. My tennant calls me tells me what happened so I call velocity again to reschedule. I give them my pre-authorization 100% confirm my appointment and set it between 9-11. I was assured that I would receive a phone call at 9am to let me know what was going on. Do you think I received a phone call, nope. No one showed up and I had to call them again and reschedule for 130. I texted the owner of the company about all these issues and once again received no response. Even though I paid for membership to their gold club I will never ever ever use them again!!!!!! As for “i would like to rectify the situation” I would like to mention that I attempted to contact the owner and sent him a text chronicling these issues and received no response.

We had money to put down & my husband had been working on his credit. That same day they came back and removed the old plus put in the new. It took about 3 to 4 hours, we had a working air conditioner and cold air! We been enjoying it!

I highly recommend velocity air, from the first initial meeting to getting the estimate from Dylan it was all professional and quick with great discounts and guarantees of what would be done when and how long it would take, to even meeting my request on the noise level because my daughter works from home.. When the crew arrived the next day they greeted me with enjoyable smiles and what ever your happy with attitudes.. Carl, Thomas, and Victor were very professional respectable quick but with quality and sufficient work.... I couldnt be more please with the way they worked and made sure they cleaned up after the job was complete. When looking for a good company to do my ac complete redo i didnt know who to trust or spend my money with but im glad i went with velocity air i truly trust them and would be using them for regular maintenance needs even when my warranty runs out...by the way the warranty is A plus in my book.i can go on and on but ill just end it with go with them if your looking for any AC work the money is worth it. Foster was very friendly and professional. Found the cause of the problem within 5 minutes. He installed a UV light in my system to help kill bacteria, viruses, mold, bacteria, etc. Had the job done and my A/C working perfectly within 45 minutes. He also fixed a squeaking noise that my A/C unit outside was making that was driving me nuts. Took him 2 minutes to find the problem and fix it. Foster was awesome!

I called on a Sunday & Eric came on out on the same day. Diagnosed the problem & gave a quote. The men arrived the next day to install the new AC unit. Edwin & Dominique completed the job in 2 hrs. They did a 5 star professional job & finished earlier than quoted!! Great job & we will definitely use them again!! Also, they used social distancing guidelines & wore their masks the whole time!!
