Nice, clean story with friendly personnel. Overpriced, as they always are, but they do have just about whatever you may need. Always check out their end-caps in the back and sometimes you will find items at up to 90% off. They always have clearance sales a few times each year with very good discounts. Easy parking and surrounded by good stores like Lowes Foods, Dollar tree and Subway.

My recent visit was the absolute worst experience I have had at a store. I drove to pick up my printer because it was cheaper than having it delivered. When I got home and took it out of the case, there was glass shattered. (see photo). I drove back to the store immediately to figure out what to do next. The manager was completely useless and did not help at all. She showed me other printers that were more expensive and if I wanted to get the one I ordered, I would have to wait 5 more additional days. She gave me no price matching, no discount, just nothing at all. I drove 1.5 that day to come home with no printer and the worst experience I have had with a company. She did not apologize or seem empathetic even when I was visibly upset. I just got my refund and will not be going back there again.

This review is particularly for Wesley, a sales associate who helped me this afternoon, 9/6/2020. I was looking for a particular desk, he double checked the back but they didn’t have any. Without me having to ask him, he got the scan gun and checked surrounding stores in the area for their stock. We found that Kernersville had 2 but he insisted that he call before I drive out there to verify they had more than just their display in stock. They indeed had 2 and Wesley had them hold one for me.It’s so nice to meet someone who is happy, friendly, and so willing to help ensure I get the exact product I want. Staples should be proud to have an employee like Wesley representing their brand! Thanks for your help, Wesley!-Seth Brown

My daughters laptop started malfunctioning 80 days after purchasing. Went to store and techs and I agreed that it was the cooling fan. Went through all of HP”s hoops for warrenty service.sent it in, had to to keep warrenty valid. Story short, they had a parts shortage and went from 3 days to return to 14 days. Tried to contact a HP real person that could actually help, no luck 3 times. Went to store again to get help. They said call Staples Customer Support. I did and got a real person that gave me answers and helped get her computer fixed and shipped the next day.

Hello,I am writing this as a review to the service I received on July 24, 2020 @ 4:30 pm in your establishment.I visited Staples because I needed to print a two-page document at your copy and print center. I was first being helped by a male, then, an older female started assisting within a minute because he, the male staff member, had to leave to another section of the store.After my document was printed, I was asked to give my phone number and name, which I declined because I was not comfortable doing so. The reason for giving my information was not articulated properly. Because I asked for a manager to explain why I needed to give my information to get service, I was told by the female worker that I could go and not pay because she didnt want any trouble. My payment was not accepted; however, I left fifty cents on the counter because I needed the documents and I didnt want to step out of the store without paying.Why would she feel she was causing trouble? Why was I asked like a little dog to go? Why was I not given the opportunity to see a manager at that time?With all the interactions I have had with staples over the years in North Carolina, this has been my worst experience because I felt disrespected and that I didnt have a right to question anything concerning me and my information. Then, I was left at the counter because your female staff was done with me.I know I will not visit your establishment to do any form of business, neither will my family or friends, but the manager of the store which I asked another employee (young male) at the cash register to call, was able to articulate why my information was needed. On the other hand, information should not be required for any service rendered. That was the understanding I got. I really did not feel comfortable giving my name and contact information.I do not wish for any actions to be taken toward anyone even though I was dealt with like an unimportant customer because I needed an answer to a question, but people need to be better trained in answering questions directly and not make customers feel they are being difficult or causing trouble.Regards,Former Customer

Poor customer service. I placed a print order by email two days before I went to pick it up. The website says print orders will be ready the next day. After waiting for the young lady at the print and order desk lolly gag around helping someone else by taking a excessive amount of time to put his order information in and then being snippy with him about the price of his order, I was told my order wasnt ready because I hadnt stated in the order when I needed it done. I told her that I couldnt have known to to do that because when I called in about the order I wasnt told that and that the website indicated that the order would be ready the following day. Her response was Well, I wasnt the one you talked to. I told her I needed the order today for a presentation and she kept insisting that she wasnt at fault. She walked away from me and kept insisting that I was at fault and was not at all interested in helping me find a solution. Finally I got visibly upset because I was so frustrated. The response to that was that they couldnt help me til I calmed down. I dont think they could have helped me anyway. A manager came over whose solution was for me to leave and never come back or they would call the police, which is fine with me. Ive had terrible customer service at this store before with being ignored when I asked for help or having the associate act like me wanting help was unacceptable.

I love this place!!! The people are so nice. I get all my custom printing done here and everything exceeds my expectations! I cannot recommend them enough! Get your holiday cards here, business needs, banners, etc. Exceptional printing everytime and usually ready the same day!

It’s a mixed bag at this Clemmons store. For the most part, the floor staff is helpful, knowledgeable and courteous such as Jordan, that was excellent in assisting with a new laptop and accessory purchase. However, the manager that I had the misfortune to encounter on Saturday, needs training in customer service and attitude. The email update received, indicated one item was ready to pickup in a store 30 minutes away rather than the store where I bought. When I inquired about how to get delivered to Clemmons, was informed it would require a lot of jumping thru hoops- period. No offer to correct, no suggestions, no empathy or apology. So, I said, it can be done then so who do I need to see to help with that. She said she was the manager and she could do it but I had asked why it happened and she didn’t know why and continued with an arrogant, rude and insulting manner. When I said I was not driving to the other store and how could this be corrected- she had to click at least 3 keys on the computer, I guess that was all those hoops to jump thru, and she didn’t know if I would get an email notice when ready for pickup or not. When I made two trips in to the store today to check on my laptop receipt, the other staff members were helpful and courteous. Although this manager made me feel terrible about her and Staples and if I had the items in my hands at that time, I would have returned them and never returned, the good staff members made up for her obvious lack of skills, knowledge and condescending arrogance. I probably will not be eager to visit the store as she just makes for a bad day and I don’t need that when I spending several hundred dollars to buy local.

They had what I needed. Clean store plenty of parking. Not many employees on floor. Actually only saw one cashier and one floor person both were busy helping customers. Not sure if there was more help but they were not visible. I walked the whole store two times before I found an employee

What a mess. Phones ringing off the hook unanswered. Employees, who seem to have just come out of retirement to collect a paycheck, oblivious to the needs of the clients despite the obvious stress of the manager/supervisor. 5 floundering staff members trying (to check out, nevermind any needs on the floor) and failing to help 8 clients purchase grossly overpriced office supplies. I needed a planner and left with a resolution to never return.

I was in the store for a print job. I had put it through online, which I think is great. Processed it and later that same evening I was sent an email that it was ready. It was after 8 pm so I decided I’d pick it up the next morning. When I arrived there were two people in the printing area, one helping answer questions, the other sitting at a computers. Neither person acknowledged me for a bit. The person asking questions left. When he left, the lady bent down under the counter, never acknowledged me, the other salesperson kept looking at the computer. The one on the computer finally asked if I was there to pick up. I told He yes and gave her my name. It turned out my job wasn’t ready after all. There was no I’m sorry, explanation for the job not being ready. I was leaving out of town with the prints in a few minutes. The two sakes people were very rude, seemed to be unconcerned about the mishap. Told me they could have it ready in about 20 minutes. I left and also explained the problem to the store manager. I wondered why there was no system in place to catch situations like that before they develop. When I returned I was handed my job with a flat and sarcastic-type speech. The manager adjusted my cost, the job was done well. However, I didn’t like the way I was treated. I had been assisted by one of them before and received the same cold ‘help’ in the past. No timely assistance and such an attitude of ‘ill get to you when I’m ready’ or almost like, I was bothering them. The could use some customer service training.

Assistant Manger would not price match, then mgr tried to give me 100% price match not 110% as advertised. Disappointed in the treatment I received as a loyal customer who spends thousands of dollar a year with staples. Next time I will go to the Statesville store where I am treated right!

Some of the employees are friendly but management is terrible. They have terrible people skills. They walk around with walkie talkies thinking we cant hear them. If your not there to buy a high dollar item with a protection plan they dont want see you. What they failed to realized is people tend get more when they are provided a wonderful customer service experience.

Theres no way you can keep a business running that has no customer service. I just talked to a manager about an issue we had and she just kept saying Im sorry you feel that way. Well its not about how I feel - its about where I shop. And I will not shop this store or any other staples again.

They seem to have new staff since my last visit, a good thing IMHO. Very pricey compared to online shopping options, I guess that is the cost of brick and mortar shopping. This location has an OK selection of office essentials. My most recent visit I went in looking for printable address labels, all they stock is quantities of 750 and up at $30 and up; Ill order 150 from Amazon Prime thank you.

Given the way customers are treated it is hard to understand why this place is still in business. Personally I will rejoice the day this location closes. It almost seems like the store management goes out of their way to be extremely difficult. Gone are the days of taking care of the customer, I would advise you to shop elsewhere.

Picked out a laptop, with the assistance of store personnel. When paying for the computer, it was discovered that the unit on display was misplaced and under priced. However, the Store Manager stepped in and MORE THAN MADE up for the error. Rather than up sell, they were proactive and honored the display and price. If there is a mistake, excellent customer service is how you handle the error. Staples should be proud of the management team at this location. Customer Service above and beyond!

I was very disappointed in the way I was talked to on the phone by one of your associates in marketing and printing I called to have something printed out the associate was rude to me told me I had to do it online I said that was fine I asked for the website name she had no clue what it was and told me to call customer service and ask for it I asked her again if she could please look and see so I did not have to call and be put on hold for a long time ignored me said call she had no idea I called customer service, waited they told me they werent sure and their site was down I finally called office depot who helped me immediately and was not rude and let me email what I needed to have printed right over.

Very good place they sell office supplies, desks, they make photocopies and many more office supplies and furniture. Their employees are very responsible and do their job well, cleanliness and organization are observed.
