Very pleased, we saw the Puertorrican flag and we were curious to see the place, we just discovered a Boricua dinner and bakery. We went for breakfast and ended up having lunch. The place is beautiful decorated, good food, fair prices but the thing that liked more was the customer service, wow everyone was so nice and polite.
With him just kidding everything back open and up and running the meal was very good. Everything was hot everyone was kind really great service the food wasnt bad at all. Win in for breakfast really good sausage gravy and biscuit just ask for little more sausage gravys all babies all its because I like a lot of gravy not everyone does but it was very good I would go back again I will go back again. I hope everyone else stops in and enjoys a great meal the great meal atmosphere wasnt bad people are nice you will enjoy it. The pricing of the food is very average of everywhere else so enjoy it enjoy it take the family go for breakfast lunch Or dinner. His atmosphere was Very friendly. I will be returning soon thanks again for the great service of food.
When we heard the Rusty Truck had reopened, we wanted to give them another try. We were there for breakfast on Sunday. Once we were finally provided menus, we were told that they had no waffles, so our party of 4 ordered banana pancakes, scrambled eggs and a breakfast skillet. The scrambled eggs were not fully cooked and didnt include cheese, as ordered and the home fries were very undercooked. About 20 minutes after ordering, pancakes arrived, but we were then told we have no bananas, here are plain pancakes. Instead of apologizing or offering a substitute, the server said, I can run to the store and get some bananas if you want.Were not sure if she thought she was funny but regardless, it was an inappropriate and rude way to serve food that wasnt as ordered. Finally, drink refills were non-existent, even after asking several employees.Lack of staff during covid is understandable, but lacking basic ingredients when youre only serving breakfast, not communicating whats not available or doing so after food is delivered with snarky comments (instead of maybe offering a substitute?), making repeating promises for coffee refills that never came, and receiving undercooked food all made this a disappointment dining experience.
I loved the food and service. The mofongo was perfect. The Steak, rice, and beans were delicious also. Not to be missed. I will visit again soon.
Wow. I’ve driven multiple times by the this place and regret not stopping sooner. The staff was great and the food the food mmmmmmm sabroso. Extremely recommend this place im going to try their breakfast next time. Amazing!

Very odd experience, went here for lunch to find out the only serve breakfast and a line lunch where they serve you from a few items. I was hoping to try their country fried steak and mofungo, instead I got to have their undercooked rice and cold stew. Not an ideal experience. I really wanted to love this place but the certainly dont deserve the name Diner as this is like no diner Ive been to.
I wanted to finally eat Puerto Rican cuisine in Clermont. Decided to give it a try and to my disappointment the food was not good at all. The owner and waits staff and atmosphere was great, but the food was not. White rice was under cooked and hard. The beef stew (Carne guisada) was the sweet and not good at all. I hate to post this review since there isnt a Puerto Rican restaurant in Clermont, but unfortunately we will not be dining here again. Please take this review as an opportunity to evaluate your cooking staff. Best of luck!
Beautiful restaurant! The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Great customer service and atmosphere. I love to go to a place where the music is nice and I can still hear others speak. Boricua!
I so hoped this place would be better. Our family of 4 we came out over $60 for bad food. The fish sticks were frozen and tasted exactly like the boxed ones at the grocery store. We ate there the one time to support local owners, but will not be returning again. In response to the owner: we know where and what we ate. It was a few months back. My daughter who loves fish always remembers the frozen fish sticks from there. Its right next to our summer camp.

I must say I was soooo disappointed in my experience at the Rusty Truck. I always read reviews in places Im unfamiliar with but I still gave it a shot. Wrong decision! We were seated promptly upon our arrival. We were seated in an area right in front of the bar. Maria took our drink orders and brought our drinks pretty quickly. She then took our food orders AND that was where it all started to go wrong. Maria came back and asked how I wanted my eggs on my breakfast sandwich. We waited patiently and received our food at 10:47a. We arrived at 10:05 give or take a minute. My boyfriends order was accurate, although his pancakes were not warm. The butter wouldnt even melt on them. My sandwich came without any bread! How do you make a breakfast sandwich with NO bread?! The server who brought our food took my plate back and told the cook that it was supposed to be a sandwich. A few minutes later the cook yells out inquiring as to the type of bread was needed for the breakfast sandwich. Since the 2 waitresses werent visible i yelled back that white bread is fine! I eventually got a sandwich...bread very lightly toasted on 1 side only and the same bacon and eggs that were originally on my plate so its definitely not even hot. The best part of the meal was the 6 crispy breakfast potatoes dipped in ketchup. Then over 20 minutes later we had to flag Maria down for our bill. She never came back to check on us after inquiring about my eggs. They did get a little busy towards the end of our meal but that in no way makes up for the slow and inattentive service we and pretty much everyone on our side of the building received. Since we had so much wait time I was watching the interaction with other guests in our area and at the hostess area and it was just slow and mostly non-existent. Ive worked in a restaurant before and I eat out frequently so i try to be fair in my judgement for why certain things happen while dining out. I think having more staff on duty would have made a big difference in the entire experience. I wont be returning.

Food was amazing!!! We went in because we had heard about it locally, and this place did not disappoint! We had trifongo, biftec encebollado, chicken tenders/fries, empanadas; everything was on point! And service was perfect.
This is an incredible family owned diner! We were traveling out of town and thankful we ignored the negative reviews!!!!!! We had an amazing Mother’s Day Spanish brunch experience. The Spanish lasagna was incredible and we had to take home cheesecake for dessert. 😋 The restaurant has a great ambiance and they even have a hammock for a siesta after your meal!

Greeted at door. Seated immediately. Very friendly staff. Restaurant was very clean. Food was great. Price’s we’re very reasonable. Owner Jose was great explained all the food too us. Went for late breakfast ended up with an early lunch. Highly recommend going here. If you don’t your only cheating yourself. mufongo was excellent. Wife hade beef stew that tasted like moms. Felt like family when we left.Went back today for our 2nd visit. Took 2 stars away Was a little disappointed. The service was very slow. They were out of a lot of things. Food was still good but order was not complete. Wife ordered a croissant when they brought the food out I told server we also have her croissant and my corn muffin coming. Server said they were out of croissants but she will get my muffin. That never came. Also we’re out of O J I will go back again but if service isn’t any better that will be my last visitThat’s understandable but the server we had was the same one we had last time. And it’s not her fault you are out of product. With that said it is her fault my muffin never came and it is her fault that she waited to bring the food to say there were no croissants. Your food is good and you have a great personality and that will get me back. But I pay full price for our meals and that should include good service
Came for Mother’s Day lunch and left with a very happy belly. Everything was amazing!!! This family owned diner makes everything from scratch and you can tell. I tried so many things from Spanish lasagna to their beef stew. However the chicken had my licking my fingers. This place is a must!!

We just enjoyed our first breakfast at the Rusty Truck Diner...it was delicious! Everything was fresh and made from scratch. The home fries were awesome! We will be back to try lunch and dinner. They have a great outside area as well. Highly recommend it!

Place was extremely hot no ac or not turned on before service. They did put on a fan which only helped a little. Food was okay (stick with the Spanish stuff) but service was slow with only 2 other tables there. Empanadas were great so 2 stars instead of one. I think they need to own their Spanish side and hire another hand in the kitchen so food comes out faster because then it could be great!
We went in at 1:00 and food was dry and I unappealing. I got beef stew over rice had only one piece of potato and one piece of carrot. It was the only one to get and wasnt hot enough. My mom had the chicken stew with the same lack of vegetables. She also got a pork chop that was sooooo dry. We were there visiting from South Carolina.We probably will not be back

Love the theming and decor. Good social distancing and quick attentive service. Our waitress was working the whole room, but there were only about 4 tables occupied.Food was okay, but not great. We had a cheeseburger which was cooked as ordered. Burgers and sandwiches don’t include a side, extra charge item. Also ordered Country fried chicken with onion rings. I was expecting fried chicken but got a chicken cutlet smothered in white gravy. Waitress graciously replaced with real fried chicken, excellent recovery.We’ll go back again, next time we might order breakfast.
We went for lunch had fish n chips and roast beef hoagie with onion rings. Both meals were great, cooked perfectly and fresh. I got homemade coleslaw with my fish n chips best I’ve ever had. Waitress was very personable and efficient. The decor was pleasing and place was very clean. We will definitely return to try some of their other meals. Oh and breakfast is served until 3:00 pm!

A waitress was nice and she did take my dinner off of the bill. Worst food I think Ive ever had. I asked for fried fish and I got a little sliver of supposedly grilled fish. It had bones in it and it was so salty I could not eat it. Was not happy at all. Would not recommend this restaurant

From the time we ordered to food on the table took over 21 minutes. Now we were only a party of 2, a sandwich and eggs for breakfast. Why so long? The eggs we not what we ordered, will we be returning, not a chance. The reason for the long wait time was a large party in front of us. Where? The place was virtually empty. WTH?
I don’t usually review local restaurants but we had a particularly awful experience. My wife asked the server if the tuna salad had onions or celery, she checked with the kitchen and said no. When the tuna melt came it looked like a 2 grader lunch box tuna salad on toasted wonder bread including onions and celery. I ordered a side of onion rings with a Ruben. The food took forever and I got toasted wheat bread with hot pastrami, again looked like something a mother would pack for school lunch. The onion rings arrived about 30 minutes after the sandwich right when we were getting ready to leave. Server said the cooks were horrible. Fresh beer batter that was so thick I got deep fried greasy onion doughnuts. The server seemed nice enough but obviously wasn’t trained very well. The “help wanted” sign leaned up against the front window should have been a dead giveaway not to enter but I like to support local businesses. No sign of anyone who seemed to be in charge the staff just flailing to survive. Hopefully they can survive on their breakfast business.
Went today for lunch with my boyfriend. The food was amazing and exceeded our expectations. They have such a large variety of food from breakfast to burgers to seafood and delicious authentic Hispanic food. Owner was so nice and welcoming. Definitely will be back!

Dont spend your money here the only server didnt take orders correctly or remember where they go. waited in total for food and drinks and to be seated for over an hour with only 1 other table in the building... food was prepared 1 at a time leaving the rest cold. only 1 chef who was actually the owner and really needs to pay an actual cook to get it done
Really disappointed visit. Our food took over 40 min. There was only 3 tables when we arrived. Two more guest came after us and they got their meal way before ours. When we finally got ours my order was wrong I asked for a grilled shrimp ceasar salad. But I got blackened shrimp. Ask the server what she order .e and she said blackened shrimp and I told her I ordered grilled shrimp and then her answer was i ordered what ever you told me . My boys food was good . Im glad they were be able to enjoyed their food. Wish the server would ask the adults on the table if they kids will like a refill before their meal or wait after their meal. Again I should have taken so long for our food and specially seen both tables that arrive after is got theirs and were done about the time we got ours. We were so disappoint. We were really looking forward to try this new place.

I have visited several times over the past two weeks. Each time trying a different item from their large selection menu. Always Hot fries, great taste on food item selection. Owner comes and talks at table, the servers are courteous and attentive.

Went in on a Saturday night with some family. People were friendly but a server never showed up. So ok that happens. Now here’s where this place will never make it. WAY TOO OVERPRICED!!’ Since when do you get charged for coffee refill??? I ordered fried flounder, came out broiled. Sent it back and when they returned with it the pieces were sooooo small for $11.99. Philly cheese steak subpar. Owner sent us home with a few cookies which were stale.One & done🥲
I don’t like giving bad reviews but this time, I feel it’s deserved. Went there to treat my daughter to something new and special. They were closed during published business hours. Thought I’d give it a second chance, so met someone for a business meeting today. I was early for my meeting so I thought I would do a bit of work. When I asked if they had WiFi I was told they didn’t. I can clearly see their network with the restaurant name. So they have one but refused to share. I was the only one there.... disappointing start. When my colleague arrived we looked at the menu: breakfast only. I asked about lunch and they said they are only serving breakfast. I went along and ordered. It’s breakfast and it was disappointing. Food was not good - I’ll leave it at that. After two attempts to support a local restaurant, this is not one I will support. Very disappointed. I’ll go to PaPa’s next time.
I am an inspector. I went there last night for there caribbean event and it was well put together. The girl bartender (not going to mention name) who put the event together really did an amazing job. More people should really come out and support this local restaurant. The way the staff were on point and made sure everyone got their orders. They even had caribbean food which was beyond delicious. I hope the rusty truck has more events like this. Apparently it was their first caribbean event and i hope it wasn’t there last. They had very big space and on another note the bartender made sure she checked everyone’s ID. It was a very clean place the guy staff made sure he kept cleaning the dance floor so no one won’t slip or hurt their selves. The young lady who put this event together did a magnificent job. I will be back to the rusty truck diner and i definitely will be giving them an A poster! Because from what i seen last night they deserved it!

I honestly dont see any of these complaints from the 1 star reviewers. I had a great experience with my grandparents. Food was great and great service. Unlike some of the 1 star reviewers we definitely will be back.

I went there last night with my family to their first caribbean event and it was beyond wonderful. They only had one bartender that was Trini, but she made everyone feel welcomed. The dj was amazing he played wonderfully. The food was delicious! The place was cleaned and another guy that worked their kept making sure that the place was cleaned and kept well. They did an amazing job putting this event together. I will definitely be going back to the rusty diner on a daily because their vibe is amazing. The only thing i didn’t appreciate was that the male staff was kind of rude to the Trini bartender. It’s not my business but i feel like if he were to speak to her like that he should take it else where. But other than that this place is beyond amazing. And please rusty truck have more caribbean events. I’ll bring my whole family!

Update... we went Mothers day 2021 - service was horrific. It was not busy, we got our food before our drinks and we didnt even have silverware. Other tables were served drinks who came in after us. We will not be returningWe went at 9:45am and was able to order of off the lunch menu. We tried several items and the only reason for the 4 star rating on our first visit there is one of the items was overcooked. We will visit again to try more of their many menu options. Good variety of choices.
Excellent food and service. Great selection on the menu. I had the cheesesteak on a hoagie roll with onion rings. My friend had the fish and chips, which had a huge portion of fried cod and lots of fries. We cleaned our plates!

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here or apply for a job here I’ve had better diner food elsewhere in the Clermont area very nasty food. I have also tried to apply for a job at this establishment and so have a few other people I know and told me the same thing in my years of working Ive never been spoken too or dealt with a manger who is so unprofessional and rude to employees I’m guessing this is the reason why there is barely any staff !!!!!! DO NOT I repeat apply to this place for a job manger try’s to get u in the door and is very washy towards employees after .

Quiet, friendly, but food was mediocre. The meatball sandwich had been in the microwave. The meatballs tasted like frozen & the bread couldnt even be cut. The desserts looked delicious but didnt have anything.

First time here and last time too. The food was expensive and hardly any food. Pancakes were so tasteless and small and expensive. Out of items. Service was not good at all. Gave 2 stars for the decor inside. Outside was not so great.

Was hoping this diner would survive, but now Im not sure. Maybe it was because we went there on the 4th of July, or they were short staffed, but our visit was very disappointing. We were seated promptly, but then it took 15 minutes for a waitress to appear to take our orders and then another 45 minutes to get our food. Oh, when we did get our orders, they were cold and looked very unappealing. We politely informed our waitress that we were disappointed and were leaving to dine elsewhere. The manager spoke to us as we were leaving, apologized and said he would try harder next time. We told him were sorry too but we dont think there will be a next time. Hope we were not the only customers that had this experience today.

Was there 3 times. 3 times disappointed. Im not sure their menu is a valid menu. Seems that burgers and salads are the only items available. I tried ordering an entree 2 times and they are always out if entree items. Servers are not trained well and the air condition barely works. Wont be seeing me anymore. 3 times and Im out!I ordered meatloaf with potatoes which you didnt have. Then I ordered half chicken that you didnt have. I then ordered a burger with fries and she asked how I liked the burger and fries cooked. When she came back with the burger only I mentioned the fries which she claims were never ordered. I dont recall her name.

This diner is very well decorated in and out unfortunately the good stops after that the food is mediocre and the waiters unfortunately are very inexperienced! Sadly the diner was very Smokey seems as if the exhaust fans weren’t working. Very disappointed.

Fish tacos consisted of a fish stick and tarter sauce in a tortilla. We were 1 of 3 tables and service was horrible. Trying to support small businesses but wont go back to this one.
