I brought a wedding dress in to ask about the alterations I wanted. My wedding is in October so I wanted sleeves added, the bodice is sheer so I wanted it lined, I also wanted some sheer material taken away so the neckline was shaped. I also asked for a bustle.She said she could do sleeves but would not alter the neckline or line the bodice because it wasn’t “necessary.” She also said she would not do a bustle and if she hemmed the dress she would be making it all one length because I shouldnt have a train on a dress Ill be wearing for an outdoor ceremony.I asked if she’d take my measurements so I had accurate ones. She wouldn’t. Then she charged me $25. Which would’ve been fine if she’d done anything other than tell me no.Might be fine for standard alterations like hemming but I would not recommend formal wear.
