As a cheese aficionado, I love this place! Lisa was very knowledgeable and since I was there while it wasnt busy, she had plenty of time to talk to me about the various cheeses she procures. Her selection of Blues is amazing. Try my favorite Point Reyes Bay Blue for a legendary mild creamy Blue experience. Theres tangy goat cheeses from local Cleveland producer Lake Erie Creamery, Gruyeres from Europe, Manchego from Spain, a variety of classic French cheeses, the best of California cheeses and many others. Whether you want a brie style, washed rind, hard aged Parmesan, a crumbly Feta, or an amazing Blue, theyve got what you crave. Seriously, just check it out. This is the best cheese shop in Cleveland. Their selection is wonderful and they are very knowledgeable about all aspects of cheese. They are happy to offer you a sample if you have never tasted a particular cheese. I like that they also feature locally made cheese as well as out of state and cheese from other countries.

As a professional chef, caterer, and father who cooks at home, Ive visited the Cheese Shop quite a few times over the years.The staff and owner are incredibly well-educated on their selections, Ive never had an issue with the cheeses or supplemental items. Theyve helped select varieties and pairings with ease, and their prices are reasonable for high-ends imports.Theyre a staple of the West Side Market, and worth the visit.
