Terrible place to work. Terrible supervisors.

My experience at Heilind Electronics was not even an experience. I worked here for 2.5 months and if I could take back my time wasted I would. The pay rate is decent for just getting hired in but you have no opportunity to make any more money/moving up. Their 10 cent raise a year is atrocious. If you plan on making $15 a year youll be working here for 50 years. Youre better off going and applying at Amazon which will start you at $15/hr doing the exact same as you would here without having to worry when youll get hired in as you would being a temp working at Heilind Electronics. The supervisors are all stuck up and think of themselves as the top dog. There is no learning experience here. Dont settle for the minimum and let a company treat you like a peasant. This company alone in Ohio makes $200M a year in revenue and cant up their pay for employees. Heilind Electronics is a multi-billionaire company with 24 locations in the world. I recommend you doing a little bit of research before deciding to work for this company especially in Ohio. If you were in a different state working at Heilind the average salary for employees is $67k/yr-$72k/year. In Ohio youre barely breaking $25k a year. I will never recommend anyone working for Heilind Electronics. The building is built like a prison and I see why, because it feels like you are in prison slaving for the company.

As far as a place to work this warehouse now located in Mentor should be considered as a last option. The culture of the entire warehouse is passive aggressive. Employees, not temps, are getting high in the parking lots during breaks, everyday.Inappropriate touching between employees was routinely witnessed along with domestic issues between “partners” brought to work and aired out. Turn over is horrible and employees are considered “plug and play” . Packers begin at 10 am (12 by the time orders are picked) and are expected to stay til 7 most nights.Management looks a blind eye to everything as long as boxes are going to the truck, unless you are looked at unfavorabley then hope for night shift. Supervisor/ Leads? They are horribly unaware of what to do or how to communicate to their employees.Employee education is kept to an absolute minimum and not encouraged. I had to ask several people several times how to do a process because they didn’t fully understand it themselves or, where stoned.The company hired temps at 12.50 and then offer them a postion with the company at that wage, no pay increase, and tell their employees: “employees at the old warehouse are payed less then that!” if you’re hired between Feb-June you will not be getting the yearly raise. Pay for the same job across the street starts at 15.00 an hour and they have a profit sharing plan.To sum it up it’s a poor paying job in a toxic environment with little leadership and no real opportunity to move up. If you are hard worker they just lean on you more. If you are looking for a job this should be considered only as a short bridge over plan.

Place is rather bland but it gets the job done.
