I arrived at closing time on a Friday needing only a cylinder exchange when Dan was on his way out. He was kind enough to reopen for a few minutes to make sure I got what I needed. Im grateful he took the time to help me and I will be a return customer at Akins. Thank you, Dan!

I went there for the first time today. I try to use independent companies, and like most local independent companies, seemed like they would do what they could to keep you operating. I own my tanks, and there were no issues.

I have been a customer for several years.And just two days ago, was treated like I had leprosy. All because he wanted to social distance himself because the CDC said it was a good idea, all I want to do is swap a tank out. He was very rude and suggested that I call back at the beginning of the next week. Funny thing was they were open for him to get a paycheck and work and thats all I was trying to do. So now I am a loyal customer to Airgas in Charleston better prices to. So thanks Adkins. Might want to take a refresher course on protocol and etiquette when it comes to dealing with the public. Cost me two days pay.

What a joke. Went here Friday 9/20/19 to get new hoses and check valves for our gas tanks, got there at 1:10pm, there was a sign on the door- back at 1:40- making deliveries. You only have one person working a business?? No way we were waiting, and not coming back after driving 20 minutes to get there- went to Tractor Supply on Keith St and got the hoses, back at work BEFORE 1:40. Ordered the check valves online at Grainger. Wont get our business- sad way to run a company, to shut down to make a delivery.

Great product at a great price. Cheapest gas around for sure, half what Airgas charges, and they fill up YOUR tank instead of swapping it. Friendly and attentive staff, excellent service! Homebrewers welcome, they even offer beergas for your nitro taps. Forget everywhere else, this is the only place to go to get your gasses.
