Worst shopping experience, return policy says 7 days period, as you all know sometimes to get a contractor scheduled for installation takes 2 weeks ...also though they gave me a piece which was already installed in shop they said because u installed and then found the piece to be defective it’s not returnable .. so here I am sitting with a defective lighting and lost 700 dollars of my hard earned money .. never ever shop if you want to not waste ur money ..

Terrible customer service, first time into the house of lights, Im a woman of color. There were 3 caucasian sales reps standing at the desk when I walked in, one woman and 2 men. They all just stared at me. NO HELLO, OR HOW CAN I HELP YOU. I browsed around, as I was leaving a worker came up and said is there something I can help you with. People of color bypass this place by all means necessary. Pass the word.

Two stars simply for old times sake. Zero in reality. We used to get our lighting here, but were refused entry because my health issues prevent me from using a face covering. Most places are understanding, but not House of Lights. Policy is one thing - disrespect is something else. We traveled here from PA thinking they would let us shop there, long time customers that we are, but nope. Never, NEVER coming back here.

I really like this place. Even though our order is relatively small I am treated like its worth thousands of dollars. Very much appreciated. And the person that I deal with is James Dixon. He is very friendly and very helpful. Well go here for all my lighting and fan needs.

Summary: slow delivery, no refund for defective merchandise. Rude salesman. $350 in trash.1) I ordered lights online on 9/26/2020.2) I still had not received my lights so I called on 10/26/20 to inquire and was told they were in stock. (I expected home delivery, not store delivery).3) Delivery from store was cancelled without notifying me. I said I might be able to get them when I called Monday but didnt follow up. Partly my fault. They didnt call to tell me they cancelled my delivery.4) Light was defective. Our contractor installed it, turned on the switch. It blew the light switch and triggered the breaker. Wires looked burnt.5) Took light in to return it. I was told my contractor ruined it. No refund. Since I didnt have video or photographic evidence showing he never installed the bottom of the light I couldnt prove light was defective. Salesman knew exactly what happened as if he had been in my kitchen during the installation without asking a question.6) We had same man/professional install over 12 lights in our home. He never installs the bottom cover until he confirms the light is working properly. I witnessed his work.7) We are replacing all of our lights, inside and out. They could have made considerable profit with a touch of professionalism. We spent $881.57 with them for just 4 lights.8) $193.99 for light. $150 for lost labor trying to diagnose issue and install a temporary light. $5 for new switch. $350 in trash, plus 2 hours driving and another 2 hours of contractor in our home. Plus another 1/2 hour and more money to install another light.FOLLOW UP: No offer was made to fix the light. The wires were not pinched. The bottom plate was never installed, but again I dont have evidence and I am not going to collect finger print samples.No effort was made to contact me until I posted on Google. Mark Dymidowski, your sales rep, told me to get my money from our contractor. Period. No one advised me that cutting the wires to install the light would void the return nor is it printed on my Customer Order. It was installed close to the ceiling. What happens to several feet of extra wire? One of your employees witnessed Marks comments. Perhaps he can verify the information I am providing. I left because no solution was offered. Why would I stay? To argue? Get your money from your contractor.This happened a week ago and you post on Google the light is fixed rather than contacting me directly.

My wife and I used The House Of Lights for our new home. They did great job helping us make all of our selections. Awesome service & vast selection online & in-store!My wife exhaustively looked online for quality lighting sconces and found the big box store options fell short of what the project needed. Weve interacted with House of Lights a few times over the last three years. From our initial interaction to our most recent requests for lighting, its always been easy to deal with them!Chandeliers, ceiling fans, basic lighting to high-end lighting, House Of Lights has it all!

Be prepared for “car salesman” tactics. Walking on and off the showroom floor to “check something.” I was given three different quotes on the same light by Greg. And yes, we were in the store three times because on the second visit when we planned to place our order, it was too close to closing, and Greg clearly did not want to stick around. So we were hurried out of the store. He verbally gave quotes that the final price did not reflect at all. They are super shady about their “deals” and wording on sales. Read the review by Matt M. below. Bait and switch all the way. The prices on their website do not reflect the in-store price. Also, Greg just wasnt helpful. They had a light we liked, but he was unhelpful in suggesting coordinating lights or other options from other vendors. Just overall not good service and not good business. Do not go here!

Today September 12,2017 my chosen chandelier and foyer lights were put in by House of Lights installer (Pete). I was very pleased with service of installation, very efficient. And sales consultant Greg, assisted me really well with choices of my lights. House of Lights I would recommend to everyone.If I could I would give them 10 stars👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

A little pricier than what youd pay at a box store, but the quality, selection & service are the reason why. You can walk in and leave 15min later with exactly what you want, or spend an entire afternoon asking questions. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and yes - they carry your purchase out to your car for you!

All prices ranges to be found here although it seemed to lean more towards high end. Very friendly and informative floor associate. Didnt find anything that caught our eye but we left with more options to solve our lighting issue.

Friendly staff, massive selection, but be prepared to spend a very pretty penny for some of the more high end light fixtures. PS: if the front parking lot is full, theres another parking lot and customer entrance behind the building, just turn on to Hawthorne Dr and turn right.

We purchased a light fixture to be installed. We were supposed to receive a call to schedule an installation which we paid over 200 dollars for. Even after making a follow up call we were put to someones voicemail. We still dont have a date. I would be hesitant to deal business with these people. Buyer beware.

Our builder forced us to use this company for lights for the whole house we were building. This company is way too busy (due to nonstop install emergencies that the owner mentioned) and made us wait multiple times. After we picked out lights for the whole house, they told us our master were out of stock months later during the week that the lights were to be installed. If you ask them for LED, they make it sound like they are Gold and so expensive. They provide the cheapest worst incandescent bulbs you can get.

Doesnt deserve a star. Bought a ceiling fan and used it a handful of times and it quit working. They promised lifetime warranty but wanted to charge us. They are deceiving and customer service is HORRIBLE. Stay away. Products are way overpriced and quality is not good.

Owner - Mark - will tell you anything to get your business and then will leave you with nothing. Terrible products, over priced, even worse customer service. Dont fall for the warranties, Mark will not honor them. Go somewhere else. would have left negative stars if possible.

Showroom is nice, but we had a terrible customer service experience with them and particular with sales associate Greg. Heres our story: we purchased our new kitchen lighting from House of Lights. They were not the lowest priced option (vs online vendors) - but we learned that other lighting vendor options we were considering could only get the lights we wanted on backorder, a delay we could not afford for our kitchen remodel project. So after Greg (our HOL sales person) confirmed our lights were NOT on backorder through HOL, we purchased with House of Lights. Greg told us not to worry, wed have our lights by 1/1/16. After we hadnt heard anything from them he returned our message yesterday saying our lights are now on backorder and should be in around the first week of February. When I reiterated to Greg what a problem this presented for us and that it contradicted what he had told us previously (the very reason we bought with HOL) and threw our (now underway) remodel plans off, not only did Greg not offer to see if he could do anything to expedite our order to make up for his error, he showed absolutely zero apology or remorse for this bait and switch sale. Extremely frustrating, would not recommend based on our experience.
