Amazing welcoming staff!!! They have such a big variety of rugs!! They were so happy to open up and share the different rugs just so I could see the colors and patterns!! Rugs are amazing quality, straight from Turkey and some middle east countries!!

Having needed a new rug, and wife was truly getting on my back, I surprised her and brought her here to browse their selection. As I am lacking knowledge in this area, I inquired about a few of the rugs, differences between rugs, tapestry (noticed a few hanging), and a couple more. While my wife thought all of them were beautiful, the pompous retort and lack of involvement towards assisting us was surprising and appalling. Im not sure if she was assuming due to my age or ethnicity that this wasnt the store for me, but immediately (also took approximately 2 minutes before even addressing us although she unlocked the door for us)began riddling off prices and deflecting all questions we had with belittling statements. Im torn because my wife and now I feel the quality is unrivalled, however if we must submit to backhanded comments, perhaps the product isnt what we would like as now it will only be associated to our experience. If it was a bad day for the owner then I apologize but I dont believe Im ready to attempt this process in the immediate future.

One was a fine large antique rug that my old cat had several accidents and despite trying over the counter products to remedy the situation, all failed. I then found moths in this beauty and the two others. After talking with the owners, we decided to clean and treat the rugs for moths and urine staining. I can not tell you how impressed I was when the rugs were returned! Absolutely beautiful. Silky, soft, no bleeding of color! I almost thought I had to throw out these beauties but they saved them and they were more beautiful than when I originally purchased them. In my opinion (and I work with antiques and fine art) the owners ABSOLUTELY KNOW RUGS! BETTER THAN ANY OTHER SHOP IN TOWN (and I have tried others). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop and if you care about your rugs do not hesitate to use them.They are hand washed, not run through a cleaning machine and then sanitized. We had a marvelous experience in the shop, and were extremely impressed with the quantity and quality of the rugs. The owners are highly knowledgeable and were very patient as we asked to see several different rugs. After narrowing the selection to two finalists, they even followed us home with our selection for an in home trial. Very competitive prices and high quality rugs coupled with attentive service made this a very pleasant experience!

So rude and ignorant. There was a dog inside the store. We just entered to the store for possibly shopping rugs. My son has dogs phobia. I gently asked the owner to hold your dog for a while so we can look the rugs, but he so rudely and ignorantly replied that the dog is his boss and he cant hold the boss. OMG. He is not doing business. He is just there for his hobbies I assume. No costumer care at all. Please avoid from this place.

I have purchased many rugs over the years from this place, no less than 7, also had them cleaned there, and it is always a satisfying experience.I am consistently dazzled by their selection, which are all high quality handmade works of art. Whether my purchase has been for a small rug or a large one, the owners have been patient and cooperative to go through the stacks and show me their options. Now I call ahead to tell them the size I am looking for, and my budget, and they have them ready when I walk through the door.They have even brought multiple rugs to my home so we could see how various possibilities might play out, without charging me a design consultant fee, or anything. These are handmade, quality heirloom rugs, some probably museum quality, yet presented in a very personal way, in the atmosphere by charming hosts that have hand selected their product, and are proud of it.

Superb rug buying experience! I walked into Larchmere Oriental Rugs, unknown to the proprietors and was warmly and quietly greeted by Sarah the co-owner and her dog Cocoa. Very sweet dog and very helpful owner! After that I was treated to a two hour tour of the stores new and antique inventory with no indication I would even make a purchase. Multiple other customers came through and were warmly greeted and their novice questions answered with great kindness and patience. My rug purchases were wrapped, pads cut, and car loaded by Erdogan, the founder of the store and Juan his assistant. They proudly shared their treasures and depth of knowledge while efficiently completing my transaction.The next day I called and asked for replacement pads for my other carpets. Erdogan and Juan cut, delivered, installed new pads and hauled away my old pads in under 24 hours. They surveyed my older rugs, identified their production region, quality etc and made helpful suggestions for repair and cleaning. They were very efficient and friendly and careful in my home.They are an incredible business! Great knowledge base, incredibly friendly and service oriented, with an excellent inventory and very fair pricing. I cannot say enough good things about them! Just great people and a great shopping experience!

I had my oriental rug cleaned at Larchmere Oriental Rugs. In my opinion, they ruined my rug. The dye bled and the rug looks terrible. There are two reasons that this end result of the cleaning rocess surprised me. First the owner touted their expertise and rug cleaning process when I dropped off the rug. Secondly, the rug had been cleaned twice before by Arselanian Brothers and this bleeding did not occur. I spoke to the owner of Larchmere Oriental Rugs who offered no solution to the damage that had been done to my rug.

My wife and I highly recommend Larchmere Oriental Rugs. It’s the perfect place to visit if you are searching for a wide selection of high quality antique and new oriental carpets. Erdogan and Sarah who own and run the store are extremely passionate about their trade and have a wealth of knowledge and connections to the industry which allow them to offer beautiful carpets at great prices.I first met Erdogan and Sarah about 6 years ago when I was in Cleveland visiting my in-laws. I knew nothing about oriental carpets and the only rug I owned had been purchased for $50 from a flea market. After expressing my interest in the oriental rugs throughout my in-laws home, my father-in-law introduced me to Erdogan and Sarah who excitedly answered all of my questions and helped my wife and I navigate their inventory. For our first purchase my wife and I chose a Heriz design which immediately transformed our small nyc apartment. Since that time I’ve come to know Sarah and Erdogan well and our home is now decorated with a number of carpets purchased from their store.We enjoy our rugs every day - they collectively define the unique character of our home. And unlike most investments which depreciate in value over time, these carpets are all hand made in the world’s premier rug weaving regions with long lasting wools and natural vegetable dyes, meaning they only get better and gain value over time. With that in mind, the last bit of advice I would offer to anyone new to oriental rugs is to keep in mind that while a good carpet may not be cheap, it is an investment that pays lasting dividends in a way that very few other types of purchases can.
