Way overpriced for the amount of meat on a sandwich. I enjoy fresh Lox and cream cheese but the lox doesnt even cover the bagel. And Ive seen them put the tomatoes over it so it looks like more. Also doesnt understand what a little bit of ketchup means... maybe I should speak another language other than english and they would unforrunately this is within walking distanceto my current jobsite.

People are crazy saying this place is overpriced. You’re in NJ, 20 minutes from NYC, a $4 breakfast sandwich is extremely reasonable (and I get it with spinach and chipotle sauce). Food is always good and service is great. Get breakfast here every morning and have no bad or even average things to say. Everything is great.

Food was alright here last few visits but the cost keeps escalating without reason. Not worth spending for the quality of food being brown bagged and handed over to you. Plus its been lousy coffee lately.Note: ever since new management took over biz - during the covid - March 2020, business is not as fair or as good as it should be.Quality of food and customer service has deminished drastically. The store is not enforcing the No Mask No entry. And management is not encouraging customers to follow and adhere social distancing rules...especially a small outdated place like this one. These are enough reasons for me or others to stay away.Besides there are nicer renovated bagel stations nearby Clifton/Nutley vacinity that offer more for Bang for the Buck quality foods, more cordial customer service managers and ample staff.After coming here for more than 20 years and given them my hard earned money...its time for change! Dont settle for mediocre...so much for the Under New Management concept here.

Clifton Bagels has improved so much since new ownership. Their food is much better, daily specials are very good, you can now view daily specials and order online via their website which is great. The store is also more organized and you can tell there is new leadership.Before I would only recommend the basics but NOW their food is amazing!

The location is convenient and the staff is usually pleasant. But the bagels are a bit hot or miss. Sometimes theyll be fresh and other times... not so much. I go there for the muffins. Those are usually yummy.

They are not consistent at all. Staff is good, but the food is below average. I have picked bagels and bagel sandwiches from this place many times and 1 in 5 times you will actually get a nicely toasted bagel, warm and tasteful. Many times its just not cooked, raw once, not at all toasted, or half toasted and half not toasted. I dont go to this place any more.

The service was good. Friendly staff but the food is just mediocre. I ordered two bagels with Taylor ham egg and cheese. It was one egg, one slice of cheese and 2 slices of Taylor ham. I have been to better bagel places. I would recommend going somewhere else for breakfast. There are better tasting options elsewhere. Nothing special about this place.

3.5 rating. Popular, convenient deli-style bagel shop. You can eat in or take out. Staff very friendly. Lost stars for freshness of bagels (inconsistent) and seem to taste different on different days (go in the morning for best bagels). (Not made on site) Sandwiches okay. Has a good variety of food selections, so something for everyone. Can be very busy, but lines shorten quickly.

Great turkey club on a bagel I ever tasted. Bagels here are great. If youre in a rush dont come here this place is busy. But if you have time its definitely worth the wait.

Never had a stale bagel there, and I eat lunch here often. Omelettes and homefries are good. Coffee is good. Ive never had a bad meal or had to wait very long. Pretty much your run of the mill bagel place. Nothing wrong with that though!

I ate there a lot, till I witnessed an event that left me gagging. i wont say what I saw but it was not good. Be careful eating there.

Overall very consistent food I’ve ordered from here for the past few years. I usually order delivery and they get my order right every time so no issues.

If I could give this place one star I would!!! I have been ordering from this location for 2 weeks now (delivered). I called today to place an order and the person over the phone said to me we dont deliver to that street anymore. Mind you I just order food from here on Tuesday and its Thursday. I told him well I just got food delivered 2 days ago he kept saying we dont deliver there, then he hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and he said he was the manager. How are you a manager and you hung up on a customer. Horrible customer service and I will tell everybody about how rude and disrespectful the manager is.

Ordered tuna salad on a toasted rye bagel received a Black Russian bagel toasted with a not so fresh tasting tuna salad with smoked lox on it for almost 9.00 with a bag of chips and no drink ... the chips were good as they were within date, SMFH.

Very disappointing. Ordered 2 egg and potato on bagel sandwiches. Asked for ketchup, salt, pepper and tabasco. Sandwiches were very dry, barely any condiments at all, AND we were charged an EXTRA $1.00 for the tabasco. What tabasco?! Sandwiches were very dry and tasteless. Very little potato. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. We will not be going back.

Bagels are not made there and are cold. The breakfast sandwiches are terrible as are the spreads.

First & last time ordering from this place. I work 2 mins from this place, ordered my manager & myself burritos & waited a few mins before pick up. I get there & it was super busy but no one turns to assist me when I walked up. I finally said I came for pick up, I was told 5 mins. 20 mins later I ask again, again I was told 5 mins. Another 20 rolls by so at this point Im angry & ask for just my managers burrito but they tell me they finished mine but are waiting on his. Then when I finally get to pay the woman apologizes & says happy Mothers Day even tho you arent a mother. But I am a mother & I found that even more disrespectful than taking long, because I look young you automatically make assumptions? No thats not correct. I will never return to this place. Their food isnt appetizing at all either.

Food ok but they are liares. first off you cant understand them so my last order was wrong. do not eat egg salad unless you watch them make it fresh as for delivery to hotels they sent nasty old sour egg salad to hotel. on take out menu the offer 2 kinds of cappuccino one is 2 dollars the other is 4 dollars again i asked what is the difference they couldnt explain no understanding you was response. lastly and most importantly they offer delivery 7 days a week open to close. stated on menu. A BIG FAT LIE. today they start around 8 am well ide miss my flight. it is places like this that have ruined the restaurant industry little by little over the years. there chocolate chip cookies are burnt and teeth breaking not the cookies bagel goers have come to expect and know and enjoy through there lives nice and big like black and white size cookie. if you know good bagels then STAY AWAY FROM HERE. positive they do have a good cup of regular coffee. To all resteraunt owners know your menu and be true to it. dont offer half added service like delivery and pick and choose the hours from day to day. lastly all food should be fresh not sending out the so called runt of the litter to deliveries so then say I no understanding you. then hire someone that can take calls to understand. i dont care your background but if your written menu says something then you must abide by it. thank the lord for institutions like Ross and daughters. they still bring hope that an industry that i love and care for so much still has hope. to Clifton bagels get it together and honor your menu and prices or get out and stop giving a bad name to a great industry.

Quality slowly declined over the years. Had a very disappointing bubble tea there once. Never again. Ordered a regular turkey sandwich, which was disappointing as well. I think the only thing they got right is the toasted bagel and lox sandwich.
