Took headphone amp here to be looked over as I was only receiving sound from one channel from the headphone out. Received amp back in same condition. Took amp back again with explicit instructions that the amp be tested via headphone out before return. Again, received amp back in same condition (right channel not working). When I called a third time for a refund - I was told that the amp was tested and that channel sound was within 0.5 db of one another. Obviously, this shop did not perform testing at all, or did not perform testing on the headphone line, or they would have discovered that the headphone port still produced no sound from the right channel. After two trips, and being told that the amp was in working order two separate times, I gave up and called someone else.This company appears to be busy during the pandemic, and while i understand that mistakes happen, it appears they have let their quality diminish.EDIT - The fact that it took 8 months for the owner to respond is illustrative of the above points, as well as the unfortunate attempts to blame the customer. To be clear, after my in person visits and payments, owner made no attempts to contact me once I decided to stop chasing them to produce satisfactory work.What I neglected to add in my first review (for mercy more than anything else) was that when the amp was first returned to me, both the front plate AND volume pot fell of in front of the shop the due to not being properly secured.For a full understanding, this amp worked beautifully once taken to another tech, and was tested on multiple pairs of phones, cables, and source combinations for rigor.

Super friendly staff & quality service that cant be matched! I dropped off a vintage Yamaha amp that was having sound issues on a Friday afternoon, and it was completely repaired by the following Monday morning. Not only was the issue solved faster than expected, the amp sounds better than ever! Could not recommend this place enough!

Absolutely terrific experience with Fuchs Audio. Dropped off a Deluxe Reverb with non functional Vibrato on June 10, was advised of completion on June 11. While not certain if Vibrato can degenerate or go incrementally bad, this amp didnt seem to sound this good way back on day one. Andy Fuchs is a genuine pleasure to work with and a genius in his own right. If you need something attended to and you want it better than it was, this is the place to go.

I own a FUCHS 30 I bought new and had a little problem, took it in to Andy, he found the problem, stuck in a new tube and off I went, happy with a guitar amp that I will never trade off and I trade a lot. Really nice and knowledgeable folks. When I plug in to the Fuchs I dont need the stomp boxes.

Andy, Annette, Ben and the rest of the Fuchs Audio team were awesome and quick in repairing my Randall and Carvin V3 heads. After receiving the Carvin I thought I had an issue with Channel 1, but Andy and Ben were kind enough to recheck the head and ultimately helped determine that the issue was coming from my pedalboard setup. The service and turn around time surpassed all expectations and I would easily take all my future repairs to Fuchs Audio Technology.

I bought a 100 watt MM ODS mod from Fuchs in 2011... Absolutely love it.Great tone that cannot be easily duplicated without a Dumble, and great value.The Fuchs and staff were very helpful, and I actually had the opportunity to speak with the tech who built the amp, explaining each option in detail.I wish they still made a bass amp !

While this company has a deservedly strong reputation, my experience was mixed. I brought in a vintage amp for repair and felt a little rushed in describing what I desired in terms of repair, as well as not fully respected when deciding on limiting the repair to just what the amp needed to function again. As has happened with other techs in the area, I felt pressured to make the amp stock, yet remove original parts that were not definitively failing. Yes, routine maintenance is necessary, but the debate over when to change electrolytics is far from settled. In any case, I was also never asked my preferences as to tone, what style(s) I played, etc., and had a brand of tubes decided on for me after a power tube blew. I had to interrupt the person explaining the diagnosis to me when he started saying something to the effect of I havent decided if I am going to replace X, Y, Z. Also, I brought the amp in with exactly the tubes it required, but the tech apparently had to confirm that with other techs — not me, the owner who has done the research on what the amp needed.

I brought my bass amp to be fixed and they got it done and sent back to me after only a few days. Staff was friendly and even though the location is somewhat random, the atmosphere there was very welcoming. I will be sure to go back if I ever have any bass issues again.

I visited Andys shop a few years ago with a friend who was picking up his ODS. I told Andy I had a 65 Fender Deluxe with a bad speaker and old tubes. He jumped at the opportunity to work on it, I grew up on Fender Amps was Andys response.He did a great job, re-tubing, cleaning and biasing the amp as well as getting the original speaker rebuilt by Weber. There was one problem that I am happy to endure....they did such a good job cleaning the tolex it doesnt look like a 65 anymore.......guess I have to leave a few more Heinekens on top to get my beer ring back.Whether its a new amp or fixing your old one Andy and his shop do great work.Jim KearneyPeapack, NJ
