I’ve bought two cars from Car City West and both have been terrible to say the least. My first car was a Chevy Cruze after a few weeks the check engine light came on and never left after many repairs were made. Marty the manager at the time said I can take it back to trade it in and I got a Jeep Renegade. The same day I signed my papers, there was a blizzard in February and I come to find out the heat wasn’t working and I drove it back to Missouri like that. No where did they disclose that there was something wrong with the heating system. A few months later the axle went out, sway links, and the brakes looked like they’ve never been changed once. Complete disaster with the cars they are selling. I’ve paid more in repairs than what I’ve paid towards the balance. We had a very good experience purchasing a car from Car City West. We found a 2012 Honda Accord EXL on their lot that we were interested in purchasing. We spoke with Marty and asked if we could have it checked over by our mechanic. We arranged a time to pick up the car, Matt had it ready when we arrived to pick it up. After having our mechanic evaluate the car, we discussed terms with Matt. Matt and Marty were very pleasant to deal with and we were agreed on a price that was a win-win arrangement. Danialle prepared all of the paperwork while we waited and we were on our way. It was a pleasant, smooth car buying experience. Everyone was straight forward without any pressure.

I bought my son a 2012 Chevy Cruze from Car City West. It’s a used car with 140k miles on it and the customary “AS IS” sticker. A few days after we purchased the car, a light came on the dash. I called Marty and explained the situation and he asked us to bring it in and they’d take care of it. They don’t need to do this.....I had signed the “as is” paperwork. But Marty and his team stand by their customer service with integrity and honor. None of the staff was pushy as we walked the lot. I would give them a zero if I could. Drove the 2007 F150, 98,000 miles. Has brakes that are burning, and something wrong with the 4 wheel drive. The 2006 that has 123,000 miles is a sweet truck, however has a cracked windshield and they are letting people test drive with it like that and has a broken leaf spring. They could not be inspecting very close for us to find these issues. Drove 2 hours to get nothing. Their reviews of their trucks are a joke.

My husband and I bought a GMC from them 3 months ago and it has been one things after another. We test drove it a few times before we bought it and it was fine. We bought it and the first day we took it we stopped to get gas and it wouldnt start up again. They did say they would fix it. So they said they did and then I picked it up and again after I got it home it wouldnt start again. They said theyd look but didnt know why it was doing this... took two more time for them to figure it out enough to stop it. I had it 3 weeks before it had the check engine light turned on. My electric system is jacked up Ive had to replace the alternator and its still not running. Ive had it for 3 mths. To top it off, I had asked the manager if it was really fixed and he said oh yes its going to be a really good car for you! 3 mths! Now Im stuck with hundreds of dollars worth of problems and no car to get to work in! Dont buy from them. Save yourself the head ache.

Purchased a car from this dealership a couple of weeks ago. On the way home from the dealership the check engine light came on which was a bit annoying. Had to have the air conditioner topped up and a few other minor things done, but overall it has been a good car for the price. The staff were friendly, fast, not pushy, and very helpful. I would recommend for their service. We also got home made cookies from them about a week later!

Bad business. We came in Friday and test drove a few vehicles. We picked out the vehicle we wanted, filled out paperwork and were told we had to wait til Monday to finish the deal. We asked multiple times if we needed to put money down to save the vehicle from being purchased and were told no due to them being closed Saturday. We were told to come in at 10 monday to finish everything up. Now monday morning, they call us saying there was already a deal made with someone else Friday. BAD business. They should have explained this to us Friday and if they would have told us then they could have kept our business because we would have chose a different vehicle. It would have been no big deal if they had 100% transparency and told us friday that there was a deal made on the van. Instead they screwed us over and left us scrambling because we need a vehicle asap. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE.

Not a great experience. They had 2 pickups I wanted to take a look at, after test driving them both one had a very loud clank coming from the front end and the other had SO much body roll I thought I was going to tip it turning a corner. I politely told them I didnt think I was interested because of those issues. While the salesman I was working with was very nice and helpful-there was a rather portly man that very smugly leaned back in his chair and told me from his office people dont buy 3/4 ton trucks to just tool around in and if I didnt like those trucks I was welcome to go buy a brand new platinum for 70 thousand. That was very off putting to me, to each their own though-thanks for letting me take them out on test drives.In response to your response :1-you never offered to have them looked at, you said something to the effect of it was close to a 10,000 dollar vehicle I shouldnt expect it to be perfect-thats when you told me I could go buy a platinum for 70k.2-Not once did I say the vehicle wasnt for me, not once did I say the vehicle was for my girlfriend (I think my WIFE might be a little upset if that was the case).3-I was not out just looking to drive vehicles for the fun of it, I was looking to find a new vehicle-my vehicle that I just bought from another dealership can attest to that.4-my vehicle I got a week after visiting your dealership is a 3/4 ton with no bodyroll-huh crazy.Thanks for the laugh in your response, have a great day:-)

We didnt end up buying a car from here. In terms of our needs and budget, there arent really a ton of options but the salesman was great in terms of trying to find us something that would work. Id definitely consider this as one of the places to look next time were in the market for a used car.

Called inquiring or are you vehicle and asked what the tax title and fees would be and refused to give me that information without disclosing all of mine first. When in directly and talk to another person in the sale went fine however once I got the title it wasn’t filled out correctly after wasting the hour at the DOT and they refused to go handle it without a doc fees.So now I’ve been without plates or temp plates for a few days .

They were amazing at the beginning. But 6 months later I’ve got a problem. Well now that it’s in my hands it’s not there problem any more cause I signed papers and they make money off my finances. Way to go car city. My car isn’t worth it anymore. Bought the car at 100,000 miles on it for 18,000. Just said hey you got approved what car do you want and test drove it for half an hour then signed papers and kept rushing me to get insurance and hurry me put them door. Don’t get me wrong good customer service but they will say anything to get there money worth.

I will no longer be a customer of this place after the conversation I had with Rich last night. He was extremely rude and defensive about every concern that I had.I bought a car back in August (now December) that I thought was great. It had low miles, factory warranty, etc. I thought it had been in no accidents, even the CarFax showed that it hadnt been in one. However, I just took it to a different dealership to trade-in on something more luxurious and they told me that the value of the car was not where it should be because it had indeed been in an accident, so they couldnt sell it as a Certified Used Vehicle, therefore making the cars value plummet.I called Rich to tell him that I would not longer be a customer at Car City West citing the experience I just had at the other dealership. He asked my name and a good number to call me back at so he could look further into the situation.Six and a half hours later I have to call him back because I had not heard anything from him. He started building his defenses immediately, stating that it was a wonderful car with low miles and all that. I said that the car had been in an accident and expressed my concerns on how the dealer couldnt sell it as certified pre-owned. His gracious response was I bet they put it on their website as certified. As a matter of fact I know three managers there, Ill be more than happy to call over and ask them and I bet they would probably tell me thats what they plan to do.I stated how he told me he took pride in making a customer for life, but how wrong I had been after hearing his initial response. Then another 5 minutes on the phone with him goes by and I immediately realize this guy has no interest whatsoever in customer service, but rather he would make a quick buck and sweep anything else under the rug. This was EXTREMELY clear to me when he pointed fingers at me saying it was my fault I didnt do my homework because he protects himself and the customer by using CarFax. He even went on to say that my car buying experience does not stand up to him being a used car salesman for 30 years.In conclusion: I had bought this car for his FULL price and he couldnt budge, even a penny more. I know there was pretty much nothing that he could do at this point, but a simple heartfelt apology goes a long way. The way he handled it makes me feel like I was stolen from and that is a sleazy way to run a business.

As expected everything seemed perfect when we bought our car in June. A few weeks later there was a strange clicking and clunking noise. We bought the car because we planned a trip to Vegas and needed a reliable ride. Now, a month and a half later, we are stranded in Boulder City, Nevada with a $3,500 dollar repair waiting to get done: the engine had a coolant leak, the right front steering arm was bad, the whole AC unit is bad, ball bearings in rear wheel were shot, and both back shocks are no good.The reason why this makes me so mad at CarCity is because THEY HAVE AN ON SITE GARAGE AND SHOULD HAVE SEEN THIS, or at least the start of something bad happening!!!

When looking for a newer used truck Car City West was one of 3 dealerships that had the make and model I was looking for. Car City West gave me the best deal overall and even called me the following day to say they found me a lower interest rate loan if I was interested. Very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and Nate was there to help answer all of my questions. Great experience and would definately recommend!!

Bought a nice looking 02 Galant for around 5000. They didnt wanna finance me so i couldnt afford the warranty. They sold me the car with the front windows over tinted which resulted in some tickets, break Rotors went out first three months which was around 300 bucks and had to get transmission rebuilt after 7 months which was around 1500. All they told me was sorry we just sell cars. After this experience ive decided to never buy a used car from another dealer again. Save your money

We were in town for regional volleyball games and we decided to take a look at cars. Our 2001 Subaru was becoming very noisy when driving out on the open road. We were looking around for something with more leg room and that was dependable. John, Mark, and Jason all worked with us to get us into a 2012 Kia Sportage with super low mileage that still had warranty left. During the process they could see that I was hesitant (not because of the car, but because I always get nervous about spending money.) So they took extra time to calculate the payments over a couple of different payment periods (to see if it was something we still wanted to do). There was never any pressure about buying and they were straight forward answering all the questions we had. Weve had the Kia for a couple weeks now and we LOVE it! John has called us to see how we are liking the KIA and to see if we have any concerns. We were/are very happy working with them. Awesome bunch of guys! My SUV caught on fire and we had to have a car ASAP. We really had no big money to put down. John (gone now), sold us a Twn & Country van, while Jason handled the financing. They both did a superb job. So thankful for Car City West. It was a lower cost vehicle and we had no hassles... EXCEPT.... A week after the purchase, when I discovered the Blind Spot Sensor needs replaced! I spoke with John (b4 he left) and he said, drop by so his Tech can take a look at it. Unfortunately, I had a fender bender that week, so was delayed in bringing back. When I did.... the Manager said, Maybe we could say it happened in accident, (couldnt have, cause was not working b4). Then he said it was working when they sold it, due to their inspections being done. Well, if inspections were done CORRECTLY, I WOULD NOT HAVE BRAKE DRUMS THAT NEED REPLACED (brakes may have been replaced, but NOT drums!) AND WIPERS WERE ALSO SHOT and the blind spot sensors! Inspections SHOULD have caught those little issues, I would have thot! Well the Manager then said he would call previous owner and see if sensor was out when they traded it in. Yah, Right... shes gonna say, Yes, those sensors were out when I traded, so sorry I didnt tell you that!... The Manager said we can replace the sensor for you for approx $300. That would be 1/2 cost AND NO LABOR! HOW THAUGHTFUL of him!!! I had already priced the cost of TWO SENSORS (one on right AND one on left!!). They are approx. $300 each!! So he was going to replace ONE AT $300 (1/2 PRICE!!!!???). I recieved a call from the Manager and he PRETENDED that he called previous owner and ask ME Say, [insert name here] Im calling to see if you know whether the blid spot lights worked when you traded in that Town and Country Van..... I said You have called the wrong person, I am the one that BOUGHT the Twn and Country. He said Oh... well how did I do that? Well at least you know Im trying to reach her... NO, I KNOW HE WAS TRYING TO BS ME!! I gave up the fight, JUST LIKE HE WANTED!!!Started out WONDERFUL! Just not so much.. if service is needed! BEST BET IS TO TAKE,TO YOUR OWN TECH FOR INSPECTION!!GOOD LUCK!

Excellent customer service and teamwork at Car City West. I love my new car. Without even asking, they offered to show me the Carfax. There was a small scratch on the rear bumper that they are fixing for me at no cost. My only gripe is their loaner car. When I brought in my 08 Lexus ES 350 they gave me a c. 1990 Oldsmobile to drive while my car was being repaired. There seems to be two schools of thought for loaner cars; give them a piece of junk because theyre going to beat it up and give them something nicer for free advertising and the hopes of upselling. They belong to the prior. Other than that, no complaints!
