Yesterday while in the store with my wife, I overheard an Ulta associate at the register yelling and screaming at a customer that was returning some items. The customer remained calm up until the associate abruptly stormed off to the back of the store and left the customer standing at the counter alone. A few minutes later, a manager (I’m assuming) came to the counter to address the issue and finished helping the customer. From what I saw, it seemed as though the customer was satisfied when she left the store. My wife was not surprised by what she had witnessed. She shops at Ulta quite often and has mentioned to me before that she too has encountered many rude, unhelpful and unprofessional Ulta associates. Sounds to me like there’s a huge lack of customer service training and management supervision.

Usually I feel like makeup store employees are always stuck up and rude. But thats not the case at this particular ulta.The people who work here are always very kind and helpful.

This review is specifically for the benefit brow bar. These ladies are AMAZING. I love how my brows come out, first of all. Second, these ladies hype you to so good you leave feeling like a million bucks! What I love the most is Ive hear them talk to other clients while waiting for my appointment and they treat everyone the same whether you wear makeup or not or whether youre 20 or 80.Ive seen Kristin and I feel horrible for not remembering the other ladies name but shes a very petite gal with glasses and short natural hair. Ugh. So amazing ladies keep it up.

‪The nice workers were willing to help us find our products, and comb the entire store for them.‬ The cashier was super kind and immediately reprocessed the items the moment we realized we forgot to use our coupon. This all happened near/during closing time and not one of the workers wavered in their kindness, rushed anybody in the store to leave, or even gave off the impression of such. Ultas usually have a welcoming environment but this one more so than the several others I’ve been to in different cities. For somebody with severe anxiety, it was a wonderful change of pace to feel extremely at ease in a store I love. Thank you!

They have Mont-Blanc merch, I got my mom a Chi straightner designed for course ethnic hair and I am very happy with my purchase. This store is awesome. It seems like everyone knows what they are doing and they know their stock fairly well. I initially went in for shampoo but considering they were allowing guests to shop in store, I was able to access and sample product that I really wanted to try. Very happy with the selection & service.

Not happy with the mascara I bought ugh! Its flaky and clumpy, I do like my hair products but I think ulta really needs to lower prices this is getting over the top thats why they are losing customers

I went in the Ultra Beauty in Clovis CA off Sunnyside and Herndon. I asked for a printed receipt and could not read the numbers. I asked for a new receipt and the two clerks could not help me. Then, I asked them to refund my items and print me a new receipt. Too much for the clerks to handle so they called the manager Raquel over. She asked me why I didnt add it up myself and apparently the clerks were not fast enough for me. I told Raquel that I wanted a refund and I never would shop at this Ultra Beauty again.

What an amazing AM. Alicia is so knowledgeable and a patient listener. I left there feeling like a million. You are wonderful. Thank you so very much and I look forward to seeing you soon. It was worth every penny!

I took my granddaughter to Ulta to help her pick a foundation to match her skin. I couldn’t be more pleased with Kimberly who completely helped her find everything she needed. She was s happy and not once did I feel pressured to buy. Also, Kimberly was so knowledgeable. I bought Clinique products for both of us due to the special time spent with Kimberly.

Best store ever. They have all the hair products I use for the best prices. We are a platinum rewards member so I do go here a lot. I wanted to know some of the make up peoples opinion on some good eye make up for sensitive eyes and although there were quite a few people there to help, they were talking to each other. So I guess I will do my own research and come back for that. Got my Redken gel and Big Sexy Hair Hairspray and Big Sexy Hair root pump so Im good .

I have never had luck at this store, but tonight I was helped by Vince and I now have an amazing new look! If you need help ask for Vince he is extremely nice, helpful, and knows his stuff!

I just left the place 30 mins ago and I can’t say with words how happy I am. I am not a make up person because I always choose the wrong colors for skin. I am sure I will spell the name wrong but I believe her name was Katie, a blonde beautiful girl with long lashes, like real one. She helped me pick my very first foundation, a powder for eyebrows and foundation brush. She was soo nice, helpful and really sweet. She made my day. Thank you so much!

Lots and lots of products from many different brands. When I was there last, a few of my favorites were not in stock, which was disappointing. I dont but that often so, it is unfortunate to not have what I like there but, they always have a nice staff and the clearance items are always fun to peruse through

Lines r too long. I have never seen all the registers open. Why bother installing more than the 1 or 2 they use. I dont think Im ever going 2go back. There were 4 girls behind the counter, but only 2 helping customers.

I want to start off by saying i love Ulta a lot. Ive used their salon a few times no complaints. But my Mom went on Friday to get her hair and makeup done and I wasnt able to go with her as usual. Well her hair fell down within 30 mins of arriving at the venue and her makeup wasnt blended out and it looked harsh on her. The girl was super sweet according to my mom, she loves everyone. Its my mother and no matter what she looks beautiful. But this really hurt when all she wanted was to look and feel beautiful for my sisters wedding. Instead she spent the night worrying about her hair and makeup asking if she looked ok. Im super sad that she had that experience especially knowing how much she spent. So now in pictures she will be reminded she didnt feel good about herself on such a happy day. Ulta you hurt my heart.💔

Management and employees need to be trained properly. We were wrongly accused of stealing and belittled in front of the whole store and employees as they all stood there staring for a good 1/2 hour and not working! Then to add injury to insult the manager BROOKE told us we are no longer allowed in the store or we would be arrested! Really! Poor service on the managements part.

Salon needs to get it together! I had an appointment scheduled for months. I received a text message to confirm the day before. I arrived only to be told Oh my gosh I cant believe this happened the hairdresser you have an appointment with isnt working today. There isnt anyone available to do your hair. You could come back tomorrow!!! The manager was trying to call you! No the manager was not trying to call me!! I was clearly irritated. I was only told the hairdresser changed her schedule due to school and should of called you personally! The worse thing is there was never an apology just a bunch of excuses!! NEVER AGAIN ULTA!!

Store is great, with helpful cosmetics people. Had some issues in salon with pricing confusion (previous employees underpriced, so had an unexpectedly higher bill the next time), and inexperienced stylist taking so long for highlights that I had to come back a second day for the fun colors to be added. But today, I finally got a stylist, Heather, that knew what she was doing and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. Was ready to give up on using Ulta for my hair care needs, but they redeemed themselves.

Everytime I come to this store to get my eyebrows waxed I end up getting turned away. Tonight I called and was told they wax eyebrows until 8pm. So I came in and the girl at the Benifit counter told me theres no more waxing for tonight to which I replied oh okay. So when do you stop waxing? She responded eight...(paused and looked at the time) but its almost eight so no more waxes but I can squeeze you in tomorrow it was 7:39pm... I let her know Im not driving all the way here again tomorrow then I left. The last time I came into this store was a couple months ago at noon and they couldnt wax me that day because the schedule was booked... the store was empty and the girls (3 of them) were standing around talking and seemed like they didnt want to be bothered. Since this is now a trend with this store, I will not be returning and will just take my business to a nearby salon instead for my waxing needs and Sephora will now be my go to for products because I have never been turned away by them or treated poorly.

Well, to be honest I really dont like ultra beauty at all. They cater to the wealthy. If they think you have money they are all ontop of recommending products, they know what you should use & they try to sell you everything. But, if you admit to not having money at the moment, they are clueless as to what products to use & always recommend clinique brand even after you have told them that product line doesnt work for you. To be honest, that attitude is racist & very unbecoming of a business. Again, this is just 1 persons opinion & how Im treated when I go in.

They have a great selection of mens cologne and fantastic staff.

I love my Lancome makeup set from ULTA! They carry a wide variety of name brand makeup and there is also a hair salon inside.

When I went the stock was very limited, had a special gift with purchase as nd the gift was actually nice.

I have been going there since they opened and boy they are rude!! They all lie!!! When I called to talk to a manager she said she was one and then she said basically they all were floor managers!!😳 so they hire people that do not care about you and they lie!! They invited me to come back after the horrible experience I had and when I went back it was the same treatment!! They ignore you and one of the makeup sales lady was standing not even 2 ft from me was ignoring the fact that I looked lost and was applying her lipliner and lipstick right in front of me!!! Oh she looked at me once and said hi and continued to apply her makeup!! 😳😳 They all lie and say whatever sounds good!!! I cant even get the General Store Managers name!!!! Oh you bet your sweet patootie I called CORPORATE!!!! Ridiculous,💩💩💩 service!!

Good products, good prices and a good variety

Despite the location I have received better customer service at this particular store than the Riverpark Ulta. The layout of the store can be somewhat confusing if youre used to the other Ulta. Most of the products are similar except they carry more perfumes and salon products than the Riverpark location. The drive for this location is not very close to me, but I prefer to come to this store. They usually have more products in stock, you usually will be customer serviced, the line can be long but there is more cashiers, and you will not feel claustrophobic at this location.

I love the Ulta store. I love the how they all pretty much match in their outfits. I just dont think their very knowledgeable. They dont know the brands in the store. They choose who they want to help. I dont wear much makeup so they pretty much dismiss me. They all need to learn proper customer service. Also need to knock off horse playing in the store acting like their going to knee someone or slap a coworkers arm. Im mean this is a place of business not the kindergarten playground. This doesnt happen in all the Ulta stores just this location.

We went in to get help finding the right foundation and other products for my teen. We waited for someone to be available to help us. Then when someone did help us, they just left. We didnt know what product to apply the foundation, what blush she used, my teen was looking all over for the mascara herself. It was ridiculous. We were about to drop $200 (we were buying other things too) and she couldnt take another 5 minutes to show my daughter where all the items were? Then another person said, oh sorry, she was called to the register . She couldnt finish helping us first?? Terrible management and customer service!
