We purchased over $200 worth of “garden soil” which we were told was a perfect mix of top soil and compost. Instead it’s like concrete, full of small stones and hard as a rock making it difficult to even shovel. Our garden beds are like concrete. Owners told us we weren’t tilling it properly “it’s hard on top but nice underneath.” Told us we were SOL. Will never use this company again.

Great experience, will be returning yearly to set up my garden with mulch and topsoil/compost! Prices and quality cant be beat. Also considering a fire pit, and appreciate all the advice from Phil Sr on how to complete that project when Im ready. Thank you!

Same as the most recent review. Had a great conversation with the lady who answered the phone, spoke to her husband, had a good conversation about commercial projects. Ordered 3 yards river jax, no show or call. Called a few times got an answering machine. Next morning my husband called again someone answered and said he would get back to us. No call for 4 hours. Tried them again, finally someone called back and said they apologize but they didnt have any of the stone we wanted. Their a stone place.... really!! A call back would of been nice in the first place. And trust me they dont do commercial work that way!!!

Ordered several yards of black cedar mulch from here and it was very reasonably priced. Delivery was available for the following day. Will plan to use again in the future.

I have had nothing but a positive experience with Phil and Donna. I have made multiple trips and plan on making a couple more. Have made themselves very available and helpful.

Called Colchester Stone and Landscape on a Monday for a topsoil delivery to fill a backyard sinkhole. I had a nice conversation with the woman who answered the phone and agreed to have 4 yards of soil delivered at 9 am on Tuesday. No one showed up so I called at 11 am on Tuesday and left a message on the recording to reschedule. I received no call back. I called again on Wednesday afternoon and left another message and did not receive a call back again. I have no idea what happened or why they did not want to sell me topsoil. Very poor customer service and communication.They responded that they were Sorry to MISS me. They did not Miss me. They failed to show up. Also they did not receive my messages on their voicemail. It is not my problem that they (a) dont listen to it (b) it doesnt work, or (c) did get them and just said they didnt. I called the same number I did to make the appointment and the message said the companies name so I did not get the wrong number. It seems as though they wanted to take responsibility but really didnt in the end. I am all set with my top soil.

Easily the best customer service I have received in years! The entire process was made very simple. Selecting our product, setting a timeline, giving me insider tips for installation, and having any extra material on hand, Phil, the owner, was there to assist in the most helpful way.
