After waiting a long time, I was finally able to purchase a tractor loader backhoe and couldnt purchase it from a better place. A family owned business always treats the customer better. Tim was an absolute gentleman answering all my questions and taking the time to explain everything that I needed to know about my piece of equipment. DH Marvin set everything up perfectly . We bought our first John Deere 160 Lawn tractor from DH Marvin in 1984. Since then we have purchased an X300 and a 570 Lawn tractor. All are still in the family and cutting lawns on a regular basis. Every machine has met and exceeded our expectations. We have also bought blowers, trimmers, and other accessories from Marvins over the years. The sales people have been very knowledgeable and have provided just what we needed at each purchase. The machines are all very reliable and have required few service calls. When we did need service it was always performed quickly and completely. Never a return all for the same issue.Besides product quality the after purchase support is extremely important to us. The service technicians, people in the parts department and the administrators have always been friendly and experts in their areas of expertise.We recently took delivery of a 1025R Compact Tractor with backhoe, snow plow, and frontend loader. Tim Marvin advised us perfectly in terms of providing a tractor that meets our requirements!! We have owned it for about a month and it has been able to complete every task we have thrown at it. It is an Ideal tractor to accomplish every job that a home owner or small landscape business operator can need to complete every day tasks. It does large tractor work and has a small tractor feelDH Marvin and John Deer equipment are a perfect matched and they are a company we will continue to work with for many, many more years!!!!

Very efficient, friendly, professional experience from beginning to end. Matt took the time to walk me through the options, and he was able to offer a model that was uniquely configured for my needs--something a hardware box store doesnt carry. Delivery included a thoughtful walkaround and guidance on maintenance, with a couple thank you items. I have confidence that the tractor was set up properly by pros that deal with them day in and day out. And... the price was the same as with box stores (when comparing other models). I would gladly give more stars if possible! I went to D.H. Marvin because thats where my Dad went over 40 years ago. I had checked other brands and Dealerships, but felt like I was home with D. H. Marvin. Dealing with Curtis was an extremely relaxing decision, with no pressure. Curtis really knows his stuff, as Im sure everyone else there does, recommending options no one else brought up. They are so busy, like most everyone these days, so it took a few weeks to build my 1025R my way, but everything was in stock.My tractor was delivered by Curtis about 1-1/2 weeks ago, waxed, lubed, full of fuel, ready to work! Curtis went over everything with me, definitely not a drop and run. Highly recommend dealing with D.H. Marvin & Sons, and cant wait to add attachments from them!

D H Marvin & Son is a GREAT place to buy stuff like log splitters, leaf blowers, John Deere riding lawn mowers and John Deere gator, also parts, hydraulic hoses, lubricant’s, filters, equipment service kits and drive belts. The staff at D H Marvin & Son are friendly and knowledgeable, since 2009 my wife and I have spent over $25,000 in various equipment and parts and love going there. I just recently bought a John Deere Z530R Zero Trak mower and couldn’t be happier. Going to D H Marvin & Son is like going to the candy store!

My husband and I have been dealing with Tim at Marvin’s for approximately 20+ years. I recently decided to buy a Gator, as we do a lot of hauling and planting on our property, which includes a cemetery where we sadly buried my dad in October, 2020. My husband has a big-ish tractor, accessories, and a mower. I decided to add to the fleet! I wanted to finance it myself, as we own a business and we don’t like to mix the two. I filled out the application and Tim said he wouldn’t be able to deliver it until the following week. Of course, we good naturedly harassed him, but that would have been fine. Let me say I think we walked in at around 3 pm. They close at 5, I think. Anyway, we left and I received a call from JD Credit that I couldn’t afford my mortgage, let alone a 🐊 on my income alone. Tim called to check on me and when I told him, he said he’d call me back. He called right back and said, “You’re all set. I’ll see you in 10 minutes.” I thought he was joking and I emphasized that I really didn’t need it right away (although I did kind of want it for the upcoming weekend 😁). Sure enough, 10 minutes later, down the driveway comes the Marvin flatbed with my Gator on it! It was way past closing time for them. Tim recently called to see how I like it. They sent me a thank you letter along with a gift card - although I think he’s appalled at my idea of putting green and yellow pom pom trim around the canopy 💚💛💚🤣. He made a good point though: that will keep my husband from driving it! Needless to say, it’s an awesome machine. We ALWAYS have our service done there. Wouldn’t consider going anyplace else. DON’T buy your JD from the “big box store”!! It’s not the same. Marvin’s is the real deal. Shop Local!! Thank you, Tim, and thanks to your wife for getting that loan through in my name.

Great equipment, everything runs great

When it came time to buy a new riding mower there was so many different options and brands the cost and the hidden costs all very confusing and frustrating .But at D.H Marvins the sales staff know there equipment and with a couple of questions like what are you looking to do and whats the size of the area and with that information and there knowledge of there machines they were able to figure out what mower was best for me and answered all my questions without feeling confused so when it came down to the pricing they lay it out on paper with no gimmicks or hidden costs . I couldnt be any more happier with my decision of purchasing my new John Deere tractor and would suggest anyone to stop in and check out the equipment talk to a sales staff and ask questions and be amazed on what they have to offer .

Went here last week and got a John Deere zero turn and the staff was incredible. I was in and out of there in 35 min, they were very knowledgeable... I told them what I was looking for as far as features and what I was planning on doing and they put me in the perfect machine and on sale at a unbeatable price. Delivery came early and even the driver was cool cracking jokes, plus hooked up the entire family with John Deere hats. Def glad I chose to come here and will get all my future business going forward.

Excellent sales experience working with Matt. No haggling whatsoever. Got a X350 48 with Powerblow, Mulching Kit and Brush Guard matching all off the offers at J.D. plus an additional discount, free delivery and setup which came to $1000 less then what the closest dealer to me was offering. The closest dealer then offered to match - but why would I. I appreciate a no B.S sales approach that offered me the best deal and wanted my business. I also like the fact that they will travel to me to do service for same amount my local dealer will charge to pick up and drop off. So I will stick with these guys. Just purchased a new x330 lawn tractor, Matt was an excellent salesman. On delivery Matt went over every aspect of maintenance and operation of the tractor and the tow behind dethatcher/aerator with me. Rare to find such excellent customer service and no pressure sales - DH Marvin has my outdoor equipment business for life, even though I have competitors of theirs much closer to my home. I am very happy with the quality and performance of the machine, reduced my mowing time from 1.5 hours to 45 minutes. Impressed with the mulching kit and the quality of the cut. Easy for my wife to operate as well.One year update... tractor is running well and our lawn looks better than it has in years thanks to tow behind dethatcher and aerator I used in the fall. Very happy with this purchase, annual maintenance was super easy on the tractor.

Purchased my John Deere P10 utility cart from these guys and was very satisfied with the help and transaction. My salesperson was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.While waiting for my utility cart, I noticed not just a large line of John Deere products but also, Husqvarna as well. Both of these are tools I use quite often at home.From what I see, this John Deere dealership is set up to service many brands. Then I remembered, that the great uncle to those at DH Marvins & Sons was also the uncle I use to by and service my Toyotas from many years ago who owned Marvins Toyota.Here, customer service was also outstanding and the job was always done right the first time. If this is a family tradition then I am proud to be a part of once again.

Bad customer service. I scheduled a typical spring maintenance service 3.5 weeks ago. They told me the it will take roughly a week to pick up the John Deere. And another week to get it done. When I called again 1.5 weeks later they told me it will be picked up in 3 days. They had the tractor for another 1.5 weeks. And when I called today they are still unable to tell me when they will deliver it. Unacceptable. Bad business overall. If it takes them this long to do a maintenance and deliver and they are always late then maybe they should take on less business so they are able to keep up with it. Not to mention that it is very expensive . With the price of service, change of a tire, spindles, shield, blades, battery and delivery is almost $800. Stay away from them. Youll find a much better customer service out there for that sum of money.

Prior to stopping by D.H. Marvin & Son, Inc., my bride and I looked at Kabota, Kioti and Ford tractors.What sold us on the John Deere 1025 was our salesman Matt. His knowledge of the 1025 and his sincere, honest and trustworthy personality is what sold us on doing business with D.H. Marvin!!Matt delivered our new tractor and snowblower attachment and spent a considerable amount of time explaining all of the operational features of the tractor and making sure that we understood everything he explained. Matt further told us if we have any question on any operation to please call him ASAP!In closing we are so, so glad that we met Matt and bought the John Deere!!I have already recommended D. H. Very helpful, I was reluctant to write the review until we used our Gator in the snow and it works better than promised, top notch service and parts Depts.. We keep using them to purchase our implements and equipment,

Brought a deck in asking for it to be leveled. Talked to a desk women and a mechanic (mechanic doesnt remember a conversations). Wasted my time, was informed I needed all new parts (scam). Cause after a short conversation it was well you dont need to replace that now. Parts got damaged, with the excuse of small thing happen. I have to still assemble parts of the deck cause they didnt put it back together. Went for small repairs, left with a more broke deck. Cant recommend off this experience. I was asked to drive 30 min one way to see what was wrong, good thing I brought my truck. Record and take picture before you go anywhere, I dont know what else the damaged.

The young man with longer hair behind the counter was arogant and rude. We had placed an order and paid with a different young man, then when we were there picking up we were told we owed more money. It was an error on the part of the sales person who took our order however the young man was not polite in explaining what happened. A women behind the counter seemed to notice that we were taken back by the attitude and stepped in to help. This is the second time the young man has assisted me and both times he had an attitude. We will be using a different John Deere dealer in the future.

I was interested in a X-500 without a mower for my business. Normally they are only sold with a mower, but Matt went out of his way to accommodate me and take the mower and credit me honestly when other dealers would not. Thanks
