I would highly recommend decorative fabrics direct. I ordered fabric a week and a half ago from them. When it arrived it was not the correct shade. I had not ordered a sample before hand to check. I called them and they sent me back a response about how to return it. They charge a $15 restocking fee but so glad they are returningthe fabric. It was very simple. Today I am reordering fabric. The quickly let me know they received my order and working on it.A Very Happy Person

After searching locally with no luck finding what I wanted, I found the perfect fabric in the perfect color at Decorative Fabrics Direct. I had been looking for this fabric for several days when I happened upon decorative fabrics direct. The site was easy to navigate and make a purchase. My mistake was missing the free shipping coupon that I could have used. I got so excited about the fabric that I missed the small coupon icon. Oh well. I’ll be happy to get the fabric when it arrives. Four stars for now but will change it to five if the fabric arrives in a timely fashion.

I ordered a sample and based on the sample, decided to place an order for nine yards of fabric. I mistakenly ordered black and white instead blue and white. The color looked blue on the screen and I acknowledge that computer screens are not always the best way to determine color. The color online was listed as Agra instead of black. If the color had been labeled more clearly, I would not have made this mistake.I contacted the company immediately and received a very firm no to my request for a return and/or exchange. There was no acknowledgement that the website is misleading. I would avoid doing business with this company. I now have nine yards of useless fabric.

Recently made two orders with DFD and the prices were the lowest Ive seen. The customer service is excellent. Highly recommend. Hopefully the final product will be as good as the shopping experience!

Fabric was not the color I expected. It was called fuchsia, but not even close. More light mauve. Hoping I can return it.

The fabric I ordered was shipped very quickly and the kitchen chair seats I had recovered look great. Would recommend this company if youre looking for fabric you might not be able to find in a local store.

The selection of fabric is endless and I loved that. My review is based solely on the shipping process.I ordered some swatches and there was no tracking number issued. Decorative Fabrics Direct does not have a place on their website for you to create an account, so there isnt a way to go back to your order to see IF there is a tracking number. Timely emails are sent to you stating that your package has shipped; links to track your package are included in the emails. Unfortunately, you cant use the links because there is no tracking number.

Fabric was shipped promptly and was exactly what I wanted. I did take the time to order a sample piece first and found the quality and price was excellent. Shipping was surprisingly reasonable - particularly compared to other sites!

Love that you can enlarge the photos and buy samples easily.

Just placed a second order. The first order was JUST as shown. PERFECT and prompt. They also package really well, so the fabric isnt all scrunched up. Even my upholstery installer LOVED the quality! Also I REALLY appreciated the RUB counts for the upholstery. They are one of the few sights that informs the consumer if a fabric is for high traffic, etc. and also how many rubs, which solvent can be used, etc. THAT IS VERY VALUABLE info when you have critters at your house. The variety was great! Shipping hopefully will be fast. The only problem, why not 5 stars, is that when you added one to your WishList it didnt have an option to go back to where you were in pages (say page 11), you had to click through all the pages again to move forward and view more patterns.

This is the second time Ive ordered from them. I was pleased enough with the first order to dig through hundreds of old emails to find the name and website to make a second order.

I placed a sample order at the end of August. I never received the sample order. After I inquired, I was told the sample order had been sent by USPS. A refund is being issued. I am very disappointed that I did not receive the sample order. Plus, I am not sure if the issue is with the USPS or Decorative Fabric. If a sample cant be shipped, I couldnt rely on receiving an order.

The fabric I chose had 3 main colors but when I ordered a sample piece, they gave me a swatch with only 1 of the colors so it was not helpful at all. But I was happy with the quality of the fabric.

I have placed a few orders during the COVID19 pandemic and Decorative Fabrics has been very responsive. I ordered samples and then noticed that no samples were being sent at this time. I emailed customer experience and my sample order was cancelled the next day. So, I ordered a yard or the two fabrics I was considering and both were delivered quickly and true to the photos. I have now ordered my material and will probably get all of my decorator fabrics at this site.

I havent even received my fabric yet, and Im already impressed with this company! The warehouse noticed a flaw in the fabric I ordered, and they discovered they couldnt obtain any more, so they contacted me to see if I still wanted it. They sent me a photo of a sample of the flaw, and offered to send me another sample of the fabric with the flaw to give me the opportunity to decide. I LOVE this fabric, and for the project I intend to use this, I think it will still work. But the honesty & diligence displayed by the people of this company, including Dawn, with whom I communicated, impressed me greatly! Now to find a new upholsterer in my area as my previous one stopped taking orders.

The ordering process was pretty good, the only thing I would change would be the check-out quantity, and not the amount, but specify that its $__.__ a yard, but have yd. listed in box where the quantity of the number of yards one wants to buy. A box with 12 or 6 in it could mean anything, but if it has a box with 12yd. or 6yd. then one knows theyre purchasing 12 yards, or 6 yards of something, other than that everything was good, thank you for the fabric and the free shipping was a nice little bonus. Cannot say enough good things about Decorative Fabrics Direct. Id looked through their huge fabric selection (easy navigation, BTW – and Im technically illiterate), picked four, and ordered the samples to make sure they were exactly what I wanted. The samples came in under a week. When I took the two Id selected into my upholsterer asked me a couple of technical questions that I was clueless about (okay, tech AND upholstery illiterate!). I came home from his shop, fired off an email with his specific questions regarding repeat, railroading, and up the roll. Within 5 minutes, I received an automated reply from the company they had received my questions and – GET THIS – in less than 30 minutes after that, I got a super-nice detailed response from Lorraine. She did a wonderful job making the technical reply See Spot run! so even an idiot could understand it (uh, thatd be me [idiot]). I am a drapery seamstress and order hundreds of yards of fabric every month. I have a client who wanted fabric that was out of production and this site had it for sale with no stated limit on yardage. I do this pretty frequently for clients who see something on the web and want it. Lots of little shops have rolls squirreled away in their warehouse and have it available.I ordered 13 yards for my client along with 6 yards of a different fabric for another person, and awaited delivery. After a week without the promised shipped email I called the number on the website and they were closed due to snow. I left a voicemail. After another week I called again, left another voicemail, and emailed.Today I received an email reply. Although they charged (held funds, same impact to me) my card two weeks ago, they are unable to get one of the fabrics I ordered. No call, no email, no notification at all for TWO WEEKS. If I hadnt inquired, who knows how long this would have continued.They offered to ship the fabric they have in stock after TWO WEEKS. TWO WEEKS. In 18 years of business I have NEVER even heard of such irresponsible business practice. They could have shot off an email and shipped the second fabric two weeks ago. They chose not to address the problem or respond to me in any way. And Ive got two angry clients instead of one.The person who finally replied to my email blamed the state of Georgia for their inability to function. Two of my biggest fabric suppliers are in Georgia and they never missed a beat.I wont order from these people again.Update: Upgraded a star. I was looking for the out of production fabric from any source and kept coming up with this website, where it said they had 8 yards available. I called Sally on the phone and she was able to get me the 8 yards, and I ordered another 7 from ebay. Sally was very apologetic and seemed very nice. Theres no excuse for not telling me right away that they couldnt get the fabric, or not shipping what they had available.Id definitely call and order over the phone and not rely on the website.
