Did pickup and the person brought out someone elses order. Had to get out the car with two small children and get my correct order.

1st stop for sports stuff right here in Collierville. All the normal sports plus fishing and hunting. Lots of clothes, sunglasses, and yard/picnic stuff. Shoes and cleats for every sport. Dont forget the bikes and exercise equipment. Convenient spot and not in a busy mall.

Great selection. Had two people kindly ask if I needed assistance. I was good. A bit pricey, or theyd have received 5 stars.

Price, selection, and inventory is all fine. Ive routinely been in this store with more blue shirts working than customers and a single register is all that is open - 5-10 customers in the CS line and just as many employees standing around at the front of the store doing nothing or picking their noses.

Went in Academy Sports to help my niece pick out a new bicycle. Wow, they had quite a few to choose from. She found great one that fit her personality and riding style. Workers are very helpful and kind which is a huge plus in todays world of bad customer service. Ill be back at this Academy Sports!

Had great deveining of wrestling shoes for son

Friendly service, but tried calling for 30 minutes straight. It just rang... and rang.... and rang... no answer.I finally get to the store and theres 2 people at checkouts and 3 MANAGERS leaned up on the wall talking. I asked the cashier about the phones and he said something like, its been busy..Come on guys.. its not hard to answer the phone! Got to do better

They charged a restocking fee on a shirt that I only wanted to change the size. Then I tried to pay with my gift card they could not accept it.

Second fire arm from there, and great service, however the Smith and Wesson M&P Shield Plus is a must have, the accuracy and size, compared to the regular MandP is incredible, and you get a extra mag that holds 13 and. I give it a 5 ⭐ for the M&P

I went to Academy Sports and Outdoors for three breathable long-sleeve shirts and found the best shirts ever!!!! I had shopped there before and I got the same brand only short sleeves when I didnt have my eczema.

Poor customer service at Academy Sports Collierville. The manager Yasmine needs extensive training on basic people skills. I purchased and returned my $200 bike on the same day and saved an additional $400-500 on additional items just by going to Dick’s Sporting instead. The company needs more options for getting large purchases to consumers and better trained associates.

Stopped by today looking for men’s gloves. The young man at the service desk acted annoyed and rolled his eyes when I asked if they carried men’s black gloves such as winter gloves, driving gloves or motorcycle gloves. He then yelled to a cashier 3 lanes over to ask If she new if they carried gloves. She said she thought they just put out some gloves but not sure where. I then asked a 3rd employee who said they didn’t carry anything but golf gloves and recommended I go to Cycle Gear. I decided to wander around the store on my own and found an entire rack of mens/women’s gloves like I was looking for, although they only had small/men’s men’s sizes which were too small. You can forget getting any customer service assistance at this store. Just mainly young kids working there with no work ethic.

I go in here all the time the store is always clean and the staff is always nice. This time Josh took care of me and he went above and beyond and made sure I had everything I needed for our girls river trip to keep our phones and a bag that would keep our stuff dry. When you do curbside pickup and find the item is the wrong size but they will not let you exchange it. You must go home and bring it back the following day. That is exceptionally poor customer service.

Lacking in customer service at Collierville store. Had picture of hat I purchased today at Academy near Wolfchase Galleria.Inquired if they had that specific brand. His response “if we do they would be over there” wow thanks for so much help. As I was deciding to purchase the rest of my basket of swimsuits he turned around and told the manager “me and him are going on break together”. I guess customer service was interfering with him taking a break with his coworker. He shouldn’t have needed one, he didn’t do anything. Will not return to this Academy.

This is a well stocked and maintained store. The staff in the shooting section are knowledgeable and quick to point out good deals. The only negative thing I can say is in the sports area the basketballs and footballs are never properly priced. Theres a price on the shelf, but its never matched the item on the shelf. If they could get this under control, this place would be a 5 star, no problem.

Ive been here several times within the last month, particularly to their gun section. The vibe Ive gotten from a couple of guys seem as though they are racist. They have been consistently reluctant to assist any black person there shopping for a fire arm. This has happened to me as well as other customers Ive seen in need of assistance. I love Academy Sports, but I dont necessarily care to go to the Collierville store.This store gets 2 starts for the positive bias that I have for the store overall, and the uneasiness it feel when shopping in the fire arms department.This store could have gotten 1 star if it wasnt for the Academy brand.

Great location in and out

I felt like this store is going out of business or something. Shelves were only half full, most clothes were the wrong size (too big or too small). It was just weird.

They should train their associates to not put the wrong product in the wrong spot and to not argue with customers when they do. Especially the uneducated millennials

Me and my friend were wandering on around the golf section when an awful store worker walked by. We asked if he could help us use the golf sample machine when he said, No its not a playground. Go find your mommy. Im 14!! We asked if we could use a ball and try some putters. He said, You cant use a ball unless you are buying something. Go to Frankies Putting Place if you want to putt. Little did he know, my dad was on the next aisle ready to pay for any of the clubs I got. I left the store immediately and went to Dicks Sporting Goods and found immensly better customer service there. If anyone is wondering, his name is Rose and has stupid long hair. I hope he is fired in the near future for not working his job correctly.

The staff was great the employees were really really nice very helpful the actual complaint is over there management very poor .I’m a firefighter in town for a convention me and my wife stopped at Academy in CollierVille Tn we were waiting on friends to meet us to go to dinner so we decided to walk around Academy they got great stuff and then who doesn’t like to go into a sports store and walk around while both had our fire jackets on super fluorescent let me remind you of that and I guess they decided to put the manager and have her follow us around as she is with the police supposedly doing a theft prevention no idea what she was doing so we walk out she passes out and stares us down and turns around like oh no wait we weren’t doing anything she stopped what she was doing just to follow us and Asterix easy ma’am is there a reason you’re following us and she proceeds to tell me that there was nothing she was looking outside and I must be paranoid who tells a customer they’re paranoid so well I did not appreciate that and anybody that’s going to steal something with a fluorescent jacket on let alone a fire jacket must be out of their mind bunch of mumbo-jumbo Management super poor definitely on educated on ethical and probably should go back to school
