Wide variety and selection and the cost has gone way down since foodtown. Staff friendly and helpful. Even hard to find things are abundant. A hidden gem.

Ive been visiting this supermarket from its food town days. I have to say I am very pleased with the conversion to the fresh grocer. I live around the block and noticed many of the items for sale are shoprite brand and have the same price...especially the front page deals. I do caution that other than the front page deals being usually the same, many items are more money then shoprite. This is expected though considering the convenience of this neighborhood supermarket. Also selection if items is obviously smaller. Overall, a great local supermarket with competitive prices in general.

Smaller supermarket formerly Foodtown. Convenient location, very clean. Small produce department, noting they have an above average organic selection. Meat and seafood exceeded my expectations. Good prices mostly. Bakery and deli sections were above average.Plenty of free parking.

Great to finally have a grocery store close to home.

During a time when it is often difficult to receive courteous, friendly, and attentive customer service, Foodtown serviced my needs today and assisted me above even my best expectations. Jane in the Delicatessen patiently helped me in a sensitive and personal way to select platters for a repast. Other assistants were equally kind and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this hometown grocery store, and I add that the platters are perfect and reasonable too! Thank you FOODTOWN!

Great butcher, made 70% ground beef for me at no additional cost when I needed it. The Fresh Grocer brand stuff is real hit or miss though. Other stores nearby have better items in stock.

Store was nice but very cluttered. The asile were tight and just big enough for one cart which made it difficult to navigate the store with people going up and down asile. Due to the proximity it felt uncomfortable due to covid.

Much more personable, quick, and convenient than the larger supermarkets. the staff are all friendly and willing to help you find things. the fish man has Great pre-cooked specialties. The salmon burgers, crab-stuffed flounder, and crab cakes are fabulously unique in taste. thats only what I have tried so far. I buy something different each week. when you work from home it is an excellent easy lunch and/or dinner. the butcher makes these delicious huge burgers such as sausage mixed with peppers and onions and other combos including beef burgers with so many variety mixes and tastes as well. the Angus beef tenderloins are perfect in my emeril. I air fry all and they are perfect. This is why I go back every week!

They are a small store, but they have a good selection and good prices. When we had problems getting certain products from others stores they came through for us. They really helped us!

Lots of people but was moving fast due to many cashiers working. I dont go to often because is more expensive than others around.

Even though they switched names (Foodtown to Fresh Grocer), the same welcoming feel has sustained. The freshness and the stock is good, given the outside situation.

Close to home. Prices are high. Staff is always Plesant. Cant get items after the store changed. No sherbert no Lima beans two of my favorite items.

They had some amazing sales. I got the flyer. Clipped out 15 coupons. So excited I was never there before. Even signed up for the savings card from Foodtown. after I get to the register, I was told I could not purchase the sale items unless I had $15 worth of groceries that were not on sale. I didnt want anything that was not on sale I only went there for the coupon items. I did not purchase anything I was so upset. Never going back

This store has taken a steep nosedive in quality. Just threw out my third package of expensive meat which had gone bad despite the date on the package. Add to that the decision to stop packaging their baked goods and put them back in a display where just anyone can put their uncovered hands on them and this formerly loyal customer is gone. Used to love this store so I’m very sad to give it up.

A small town food store that makes you feel your right at home! I always tell my friends and neighbors I will ONLY buy my meat at Super food town. The guys in the meat room are so nice and willing to help you any way possible! This Easter was amazing with everything I cooked and its all thanks to my guys in the butcher Shoppe at food town.. And a special shout out to the new guy, Christopher you helped me so much to get ready for my Easter cook out. Thanks is again! Your all wonderful!

I love this store. Everyone is always helpful if you ask. The meat selection is the best in the area. They carry a wide variety of pretty much everything but personal products, shampoo,conditioner, etc.I come here several times a week.Has coffee station, bakery,Deli,and meat department with great staff!

Funny/Good staff

Its still a great place for quality food. The prices are still a little high on some grocery items. The deli and prepared food is great and worth the money.They had everything I needed and more. They are still privately owned by Nicholas Markets but are getting supplies from Wakefern which is ShopRite.

Love this grocery store! You can tell workers take pride in their products, better than stop and shop down the road. Fruits and veggies are always fresh, and they always have plastic bags available. Their meats and chickens always heavily stocked and their homemade meatballs are soooo good!!

This place runs out of many items very quickly. The store is very small and it is difficult navigating the isles. The prices started out low the first few weeks then they started to rise. The meat section has very little choice and quantity. Also the place is not very clean. The frozen vegetable section is even worse. Bring back Foodtown !

This was formerly Foodtown and it is under new banner of FreshGrocer. It is a smaller footprint store compared to other supermarkets in the area. I think it needs to be remodeled inside and out both.

I was very disappointed with the meat department. I am single and wanted to get a rib roast cut into steaks for easy freezing. The butcher told me no because they are sold as roasts only. They could accommodate their customers better.

Reminds me if Shoprite

Very disappointed in fresh grocer in colonia. First, there were no wipes to wipe the carriage handle either right outside or even as soon as you walk in. I said something to a manager and he just ignored me. Blue strips to enforce distancing but no one was following. There should be a very large sign as soon as you enter. The very small signs went unnoticed. I mentioned it to a checker and she said “What blue lines?” So even employees were clueless. Once again, very poor, very arrogant management.

This food town is great. Very well-stocked clean and a lot of prepared dishes. Plus its easy and convenient to get in and out not oversized store.

Quiet supermarket instead of the crowded Shoprite near by. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I like this store and almost always when I visit this store the experience is a good one. I realize that they employ very young cashiers and clerks at this store but usually they are friendly and cordial. The deli department rocks! Last night I ran into the store at about 9 p.m. to pick up just a few items. I stopped at the Customer Service counter to purchase something. Oh my gosh the Customer Service clerk named Sam (Samantha) made me feel like I was inconveniencing her life!! She was so rude to me yelling from outside the Customer Service counter if she could help me and then huffing and puffing because I wanted to make a purchase. She rushed through the purchase I made and then slammed the register drawer shut. I said Thank you but RUDE Sam said nothing to me! Then a few minutes later Sam is hanging out in one of the aisles talking and joking around with one of the floor clerks! Really?? And if that wasnt enough, Sam was walking around the store talking to just about EVERY other employee in the store. How rude is that that a little while earlier she couldnt even say Thank you to me or Have a nice evening. Geez Very very RUDE Sam.....grow up

Fantastic store. Totally family friendly with a wonderful and helpful staff. Its great to find a grocery store that is not over packed every day. The closing of so many stores recently is horrible and forcing people to go to the no name stores that sell their own products and limit your choices. I wish more Food towns like Colonias would open in the closed and now abandoned stores. They are very much needed.

Bizarre place. Most of the employees are teenagers and act accordingly. They are playing games and shrieking at each other most of the times Ive visited. That can be annoying if you care about professionalism.Otherwise it is just an average small town supermarket, nothing to write home about.

This was the grocery store I visited as a kid, and coming in here over 25 years later it looks exactly the same! Aisles have haphazard organization and the bakery is tiny. The conveyor belts at the checkout seem like the originals! The cashier was friendly and it seems like everyone working there likes being there.

I have been going to this particular store for as long as I can remember as it is the closest grocery store to my house. Since Pathmark went out of business I go to Foodtown much more frequently. As a whole I feel everything meets my standards, and then some...The staff is always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable of their products and the cashiers are normally quick and efficient. This Foodtown may not have the lowest prices compared to its competitors but they do have good weekly sales.

Good supermarket,convenient parking lot ample for the area. Well stocked product. Checkout is quit fast even at buisey times. Well is great large selection of Brand & store Brans cold cuts & cheese,salads are fresh & sold by the pound or smaller portions,they will do subs if you ask. Prices are well with in the competitors in the area. Good mix of other stores within the block, including a US post Office.

Foodtown has been getting a lot better. I am really starting to go more often. Better selections then they had in the past.
