Very helpful just understaffed for the weekends.. Which is not uncommon right now
I stepped inside Sally yesterday 7/3/21. I had to speak 1st. Cashier there. No customers at register. I stood 2 steps from front door for a good 30 secs trying to decide which isle the products i needed could be on. DO YOU THINK SHE (turned out to be the manager) ASKED, Maam may i hep you find something? NO, SHE DID NOT. Been a loyal customer for ~10 years - Z (part-time employee from Hampton Rds will tell confirm) Manager Stacy barely spoke, no smile, no enthusiasm, no warmth. I mentioned this, and asked her name. She refused to tell me her name so the sweet mature (older) Afric Amer more employee stated it. Manager needs to be replaced. She then tried to blame on a throat problem, but it was an excuse bc it has nothing to do with not smiling, waving, etc. Her vibe was cold. If she is too sick to practice excellent customer service as required by SALLY INC, then StAY HOME! If leadership cant exhibit decent customer service, the newer employees will soon follow.
The cashier wasnt very friendly at all. And since when do I have to buy a bag for 15 cents for the products that I bought to be put in. Thats ridiculous. And they have plastic over the pin pad for debit cards that is worn out and she didnt even clean it before I used it. Whats the use of the plastic then. Better service from other places.
After a while of shopping at this location I decided knowing the store needed help I was very interested in the associate job I was granted an interview to work for the store just to come in and experience the rudeness of their staff and humiliation after the hiring manager mocked my clothing ( jeans and a dress shirt with flats )( I do not own dress pants ) though the women who was supposed to do my interview had in a gray wife beater style tank top and baggy jeans....! I don’t have too much but was decently dressed and played my role for the part they were very unprepared, And seemed irritated when asking them anything!!! Horrible experience and a major waste of time hiring someone should be about their skill, personality, performance and comprehension not their outfit!!!!
The store is always well stocked, clean, and organized. The ladies working are knowledgeable and helpful, they seem to genuinely care about their store/ customers.
I really would rather leave zero stars. Get a new manager. Customer service is for the birds. And thats being nice. 😉
The ladies at Sallys know their stuff! I used to pay $150 at the salon and for $15 I got exactly what I needed to do it myself. Thank you!

The customer service is this store is TERRIBLE. Every single employee has an attitude. It wasn’t like this. There is one employee an older and mature Goddess who has worked there for awhile and she is amazing. However the past few times I’ve been to this location a younger female just has the shortest and rude attitude. Even when I tried to explain my issue calmly and with respect I was met with eye rolls and her accusatory tone that I was lying when I was able to provide PROOF of what I was saying. If you are unsure of how to work the POS system or uncomfortable explaining changes say that to save yourself embarrassment and being aggravated. When I asked for the number to speak to the DM, I was told email Customer Service. That’s NOT what I asked for. Anyway they are consistently out of product, the store has been dirty and unorganized for quite some time as well.
Good deals on certain items, 50% off store priced items. Very neat inside. Employees were very helpful and nice ☺️
I wish I could give no stars. The customer service at this location is horrendous!! The “welcome to Sally’s” greeting is so insincere. This is the only store that carry my hair products and I dread going. I’d rather order online and pay shipping, before I tolerate the unprofessional staff here.
I always get greeted upon entering the store, they also let me know they are there if I need any help, which goes without saying, but how many people actually mean it? Good sales, not fond of paying for a Sally card annually....but hopefully the pros outway the cons.

Do not go here. Emoyees were rushing me even though i was the only one in the store. They gave incorrect advice. They double charged me for one of the items which i didnt catch till later. Cashier was on the phone while chdcking me out.
The staff here is well informed and pleasant. Great prices.

The website has the hours as 9am to 9pm everyday, but sunday. I arrived at the store at 8:58pm thinking I had an hour til close. One employee unlocked the the door and said you have one min and no cash only credit. So I asked I though you closed at 9pm your website said that. She said nope and walked away. Then as Im looking for what I need another employee comes down the aisle and shouts the register will close in one min if you dont have an something to ring up then..... I said well Ill leave then. Im disappointed this isnt the first time I had problems at this location. Im probably going to go the one across town now to avoid any more crap. The location I will never return to is colonial Heights va.
