My family has taken our daughters Jeeps to Jim/Trans Tech several times now. We will definitely be a regular customer when we need work done on our Jeeps. They are courteous, professional, very thorough, and reasonably priced. They have traced unusual issues with our vehicles and figured out the cause (and fixed) every time. Its so good to see a local business run in such a customer-oriented manner. Well Done!

Where do I begin, I had my Jeep Grand Cherokee towed to this shop, I explained I am not concerned about time, he then explains it’ll be a while but I’ll get it done . About two weeks go by and he’s asks for 1000$ deposit, I had no issues putting the money down so I did, 6 months goes by and he tells me he can’t find a engine or a rebuild kit for it. I have no problem with this but when I asked for my deposit back he goes “well the 500$ is for labor for when we pulled the motor” I then explain I put 1000$ to which he then says “oh it must’ve been heavier labor” . I sent my wife down there to ask for an itemized receipt (I was at work) . He then denies my wife to whom he’s been keeping in touch with, the itemized receipt. Every time I go down there (every 2-3 months) I get attitude like I’m not supposed to have updates. I proceed to try and have it towed home, to which they gave me a specific day and time so I have the tow truck show up at 1 the shop explains it’s not “dug out” yet so I sent another tow truck that had to wait another 2 hours! When Jim finally pulls the jeep out he snatches the jump box and walks away with the window down knowing we wouldn’t be able to roll it back up because of the dead battery. When it finally arrives home realize i have a dash camera missing . Now I’m out 1000$ and still have a broken vehicle!! Don’t trust these guys with your vehicles there is plenty of other reputable shops.

My daughters 2006 Hummer transmission went out, and Jim was on it, he treated us like we were his family. I also had him work on my other vehicle and again was amazing. He did not take advantage of me at all what so ever, he was honest & professional. His team was far most the best!! Thank you Jim, for taking great care of us..

Asked multiple times for a written quote, never got one. Took 3 weeks to get a clutch done. Pushed back the time that it would be done 3 times. Poor communication, I had to call multiple times to get updates and got vague answers. When it was finally done, got a bill for $2,100 for a clutch job, not including the cost of the clutch or flywheel, which I bought myself! I would not recommend this place.

Jim did a stage two with billet converter rated for 700 hp on my 2000 f350. Truck shattered the stock trans. Acted like it was stuck in neutral. Thought my truck be down for weeks, Jim got it done in one week. So happy with it now, my truck screams and shifts like a dream.

They did good job. Could have communicated better with me. I clearly stated SYNTHETIC OIL. Jim wasnt there when I picked it up due, to family emergency and I should have followed up.

These guys are amazing saved me almost $9,000 I was told by longFord In Colorado springs north end Thats my truck needed a new motor because the head was cracked so I took it to these guys for a second opinion and found out that is not the case at all also found out the $800 tune-up I did a month before this was not actually even done they pulled the plugs and wires and they were not replaced nor was the air filter they totally duped me and were working on duping me again on a brand new engine and almost got away with it. Thank God for these guys they saved me please use extreme caution do not just go to any one especially Phil Long Ford North family and friends will be using these guys indefinitely here on out.. thanks again you guys

Best 400 and 700r4 builder used Jims transmissions for 20 years never let me down

They were fixing an oil leak, and after charging us $1200, the car started smoking like it was on fire and I still have the oil leak. When I brought this to his attention, their answer was to keep a log so nothing was ever done to fix the car. Im very disappointed that the owner was so unconcerned and unwilling to resolve the issue.

Awesome place, with great service! I overheated my transmission over the weekend. Called them Monday morning and they were able to see me the same day. Other shops wouldn’t see me for at least a week. Needed to get that burned fluid out ASAP. Jim was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions even though he was very busy. Will definitely be returning if I need any more transmission work done.

This was the worse dishonest rude business I have ever been too! Just for a diagnosis it took them a week! I called several times and left messages trying to find out what was going on with my vehicle, nobody was telling me anything! It took a friend to call for them to finally answered their phone! They told me I had an internal engine problem! I decided to take my vehicle to another shop, since I was getting the run around! So a tow truck driver shows up to take my vehicle and they didnt have it out ready to go! They had over a hour to have my vehicle ready! So the tow truck driver couldnt wait, so we had to get a second tow truck he comes1 1/2 hours later and they still dont have my vehicle ready! At least the driver didnt leave again! So the next morning the shop I took it to had a diagnosis of a timing belt and had it fixed in one day!First off it shouldnt have taken a week to tell me what they thought was wrong! Then it was a wrong diagnosis!! I went back and was told they would giive me back part of my money if I showed my receipt from the other shop! I did show it to them! I ve waited 3 weeks and still havent received anything!Apparently they dont know what theyre doing! They were trying to rip me off! I shouldve gotten some compensation for losing a tow!Please stay away from this company!!! I was new to the area and they left a very nasty taste in my mouth!

I recently took my 1970 C-10 to Trans Tech for a motor swap, new transmission and few other items. I did my research, visited multiple shops and met with multiple shop owners prior to making a decision on who I would trust to work on my pride and joy. When I met with Jim we spoke at length about what I wanted, what was the best route to get there and what it would take and cost. I immediately felt the honesty and professionalism he brings to the table so I decided to use Trans Tech . Jim and his team at Trans Tech did not disappoint. This was a lengthy project, Jim kept in touch with me the whole time and I felt he had my best interest in mind throughout. At the conclusion of this project I couldn’t be more pleased with Trans Tech, I got exactly what I wanted at a fair price. They have had our vehicle for 3 months, and still not done. Every time we call, the mechanics busy and are told hell call back later. Doesnt call back. This place was recommended by a good friend, so we decided to give them a try. Very disappointed! Will not go back.

Wonderful service and extremely friendly! Brought my Audi In and wqs ready 2 days before they had originally said it was going to be complete. This is a place you can trust! I originally took my vehicle to a competitor and was told my engine had catastrophic failure and had to be replaced. I started looking around to find an auto shop with a good reputation and I now know why trans tech as reputation they do. Turns out my engine did not have catastrophic failure and was fixed for a fraction of the cost the other shop was quoted me for a new engine. Having a go to auto shop is important and I have found mine.

I would have reviewed their work, but it never happened. Called and spoke with owner about bulletproofing a transmission. Owner wanted to meet in person to discuss work and cost, so I made the appointment. After driving an hour to their shop for the appointment, the owner never showed up! While waiting for more then two hours in their parking lot for the owner to show up (never did), I got to enjoy the pleasure of watching CSPD run license plates of vehicles coming and going from their business. Not sure what was going on, but between the owner blowing me off and police surveillance going on, I will find a different shop.

If u want it done right the first time and a response quick or atleast in the same week....DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Long story short the guy is just smart enough to be good at conning the customer, dont let him con you. Thats all I can say for now.

I brought my Dodge diesel truck to Trans Tech for some repairs and everything was completed in a timely manner and the cost was reasonable! My truck runs great and Im very happy with the outcome! This past week I took my aging truck in for a/c repair and wiper motor replacement. While there I also had the oil and filter changed. Chris, Mechanic, also discovered one of the motor belts was badly cracked and I had it replaced. I am thoroughly satisfied with all the work preformed and the treatment I received. I took my vehicle to a well known transmission shop and was given a quote to rebuild a transmission that I didnt even have in my truck. Diagnosed and repaired my 99 Ranger 4x4 drive train. Jim and his crew are courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and fully professional. They fixed a rear differential problem just before it failed catastrophically. Trans Tech also checked and performed requested maintenance on the transfer case before that became my next issue to contend with. I have my truck running like new again for a very reasonable cost. Weve had our Subaru serviced here for two things: replacement of the strut mount plate and an oil change. Both times the crew was very professional and polite. I called for an estimate over the phone and the man who answered took the time to explain everything to me in detail and answer all of my many questions. The work cost exactly what he estimated. The shop is centrally located, very clean and comfortable. I will definitely be bringing my cars here again! Glad that I found such a great mechanic!

The mechanics at Trans Tech Auto have gotten to know my 1988 Ford Escort quite well over the last year or so, simply because I dont trust any other shop with my metal baby. WOW!! I have just moved to the Colorado Springs and found my automotive mechanic for life!! I not only was treated well and with respect, but I found an honest auto repair shop. It is always scary taking my car in dreading all of the problems with my vehicle.In this situation, I took my car to one place in town, and explained the things I thought might be problems. Well, everything I mentioned and additional problems were found. That quote $4600.00. YIKES!!! Thought about throwing in the towel on the vehicle.Then Tran Tech Auto & ruck Inc. came to save the day. I unfortunately had to get an engine replaced on my Camry due to unprofessional work done on my car by a national franchise. I found Trans Tech Auto from the BBB and was very glad that I did. Jim and his staff treated me like family the moment I walked in the door. They took the time to explain the entire process of getting my engine replaced. Even when I looked for cheaper alternatives, Jim gave me the questions to ask of companies to ensure that I would be properly taken care of. Who does that these days? Bottom line? I saved a ton of money and had a quality repair in a very timely manner.I called and talked to Jim and told him about my 94Suburban with a slipping transmission. I had been given a quote from another shop for a rebuilt transmission.I called TransTech for a second opinion. I spoke with Jim about my situation and he asked me some questions about the vehicle. He said my transmission might be repairable and not need a rebuilt (total replacement). This turned out to be true. This was a considerable savings.My dealings with all the staff at Trans Tech was excellent. There was great communication and explanation at every stage allowing me to make what I believe was a wise decision. In fact I saved so much, compared to the another shops quote, that I was able to take care of some other maintenance on the truck. All the work has made my older vehicle a pleasure to drive.

We decided to get a second opinion and I am so thankful we did! Jim and his team did a FULL transmission diagnostic and he was able to tell me, in laymans terms, exactly what needed to be repaired and what our options were. Not only did he save us $1000 dollars, he also got the job done in less than 3 days!! Every call was handled in a professional manner and Jim made sure we understood exactly what they were doing. Brought my truck, with 187k in for an assessment. Jim, the owner, tested it and recommend a rebuild sooner than later. Since we use this vehicle to tow our RV, we decided to do it. Boy howdy, it feels like a new truck. Plus with the tow pack installed the torque converter was also replaced with a more efficient billet unit. While there they also looked at the rest of the drive line to recommend other potential issues. Very pleased with the results.

Good As New - We developed a slipping in the transmission of our Subaru Crosstrek. We talked to the dealership about it, and they wanted as much as the car was worth. We saw the reviews for Trans Tech, and thought it was worth talking to them. They came in at half the price and none of the attitude we got from Subaru. It took a while, because one of the parts is on national backorder, but its back now, and runs like new. We are very satisfied and would use Trans Tech again in a heartbeat.

BEST transmission repair shop in town. Brought my Jeep Commander here with 110,000 miles on it 4 years ago. Another shop said replace your transmission. Jim said let me look at it. Jim fixed it for a few hundred dollars. This week it needed repair again. My Jeep now has 260,000 miles on it. Jim once again did his magic. My transmission works like new. My goal is 300,000 on my Jeep. With Jims great work..... I know I will make it. Dont go anywhere else.

Incredibly fair priced and great to work with. My van had a mystery power drain which was very difficult to diagnose, but they were able to find the culprit and get it resolved. Weve used this company to fix things as simple as an air conditioner flush to changing the catalytic converter. They are a phenomenal company that has fixed an array of car problems for us and they did so quickly and with very fair pricing.

Amazing service....professional....cost-effective. We researched, called and even visited several shops. Then, we found Jim and Trans Tech. Since we are particular about our 07 4Runner, the install they did was absolutely wonderful, and for a better price than the other shops. And the job was completed on time. They did a great job on a clutch replacement for my 1992 Jeep Wrangler. Sometimes communications is slow between this business and client but the work got done well.

Jim was great. He explained to me what needed to be done and why in terms that anyone could understand. Every time i would call Sara knew what vehicle was mine just by knowing who I was. They are great on communicating making sure that I knew the estimated cost of proposed work, and refused to do anything without prior approval. I live over 300 miles away and I will be coming back here for any future major mechanical work.

Well I was highly recommended to this place and I was very excited to have my transmission work done here. I heard that they were pretty good and it was close by my house. The transmission in my car was bad and I needed to have another one put in. The price was decent.Due to the holiday weekend I was told that I would need to pay before I could pick my car up. That bothered me because I like to pay for services and pick up the vehicle at the same time. I will admit that when I went to pay for the services I was very upset and was very direct with them how dis satisfied with paying without receiving the car. They informed me the car would be ready by the end of the business day. I was called early and picked up the vehicle by 3 PM. So far the transmission that was put in works and the car drives like it has a better transmission. But I noticed now that I have a severe oil leak now that was not there before taking it to get fixed. My car was parked in a clear oil free driveway for months and did not have any leaks but now is leaking oil since the transmission was replaced.I wish I knew how to work on my own cars and would never have to go to anyone to do mechanic work. You would hope that just because you express a concern about services that you are paying for it will not cause them to damage your car. I hope that was not the case but I know that the car was checked out and oil leaking was not the problem only needed new transmission.Because I do not use the vehicle to often I did not have a urgency to have the car back in timely manner. Other complaint I will state is that they took their time to fix the vehicle. If you need your car fast this may be a problem for them. Of course they had to receive the parts but it took longer than expected.Communication was another issue with this place too. I had to call many times to only get voice mail. Never to get a call back. I had to continue to call to get updated on the vehicle.

Trans Tech Auto & Truck in Colorado Springs has been in business for over 33 years, and is a great place to go! They have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. The work on my car was completed in the time frame quoted, and the price I paid was within the estimated cost provided before the work began. The shop is clean and modern, and their team does a fantastic job!

It is hard to know sometimes who you can trust to work on your car to do the job right and give you a fair price - without finding extra things to fix or over charging. I have known Jim Morin for at least 8 years - as a person and a business owner I have found him to be impeccably honest and trustworthy. Trans tech was a fantastic place to bring my Jetta. I had a simple issue which they diagnosed and had completed the next day. Ive had past experiences with different shops that put off my work for high dollar projects so it was refreshing to have my work done so quickly. I will definitely be coming back.UPDATE: I just came back for service on my Honda Civic and once again received the best, most courteous service. Although I did like and agree to the work done on my car, and am satisfied with the results, I am sure that I did not agree to have my car driven around town for more than a day. When I brought my car in to this shop, it had about 3/4 of a tank of gas. When I picked it up three days later I had to go straight to the gas station. I wouldnt be surprised if he was taking the customers cars home at night. Good service on the car but I would be sure to specify in writing that you do not want your car used in any other way except for a test drive.

My name is Steven. I am currently a college student, and recently obtained an actual career job to help take care of my family. I am not the biggest fan of car mechanics, let alone cars. So I want to say, if I could give Jim and his shop a 10 star rating, I would, for 5 doesnt cut how my experience was. I have a 2009 Hyundai Elantra, and I begin to notice some issues with the vehicle. It had a slight slip when I would accelerate. I began preparing for the worst, for I have had my fair share of issues with mechanics and cars back on the east coast, where I am from. I thought I was going to need a transmission rebuild or replacement. I was hesitant to take it to anyone, but I finally gave Trans Tech Auto a chance. After just a few days with my car, Jim called me and he changed my life and I still dont think he knows how much he saved me. He told me that he believed it only needed a transmission flush, which I knew was never done and it has 140k miles on the car. You can imagine what that fluid looked like. He explained with the electronic solenoids, that the fluid is vital and mine is definitely overdue. After he performed the flush, I have had the vehicle now for a week and it runs 100 times better. I even get better gas mileage now. I have a family I need to take care and I been trying to buy a house, so my mother can stop working. He saved me and my finances, for now I dont have to contemplate if I need to buy a new car, or use my savings on a transmission. Jim I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Was referred to Trans Tech by a friend and was not disappointed... and the referral couldnt have come at a better time, as both of our vehicles decided they needed major help in the same month... we also referred our son to them, as his vehicle needed some work... the mechanics were very courtious and helpful in explaining everything... they were willing to work with us, when the repairs where more then we were expecting...thank you all for everything...

Brought truck to Transtech after Thanksgiving for estimate. Received a call middle of December quoting $2800.00 to repair. Can now not afford the repair. Tried to pick up the week after Christmas and they were closed all week. Tried to pick up the first week in January and they demanded $700.00 for storage fees. Have tried repeatedly to resolve this but the storage fees just keep going up. No paperwork warning of storage fees. Just the surprise. Going to small claims court and I will post the result however it turns out for the benefit of anyone who reads this post.

I had great experience they fixed my trans on f250 and fix my torque converter and were straight up on everything needed to be fixed. They were flexible on payment. Thank you I appreciate the timely repairs.

They have had my Isuzu Trooper for going on FIVE MONTHS. I am beyond frustrated with the service I have received from this company. I just want my vehicle back. Ive wasted 5 months of insurance payments while it sits there and I need to have it back. This is a warranty situation so I feel like they have put it on the back burner because there so no money to be made! This infuriates me as I feel I am being taken advantage of. Sick of calling them to see if its ready yet! Come On! Finish the job, its been WAY TOO LONG!

The folks at Transtech are amazing! Theyve done a lot of work on my familys vehicles, and its always been top-notch. However, when I hit a deer on the highway and totaled my truck, Jim was able to find another vehicle that suited my needs. Do not come to this place. This guy will try to con you out of as much money as possible. I went in simply needing a new seal. Thats it. They wanted to charge me $1,600 - $1,800 for a $800 job. Extremely extremely rude and arrogant as well, I could barely get a word in edgewise. In the end I was charged a $100 diagnostic fee, even though I already told them exactly what it was. But they still wanted to leave a veil of mystery in order to get more money from me. Con artists of the highest degree. You wont find an ounce of honesty here. Save your money. Go somewhere else.

I have a 97 Ford Explorer that I cherish and it was making a clunk noise when I had it in reverse and all the sudden one night I went to 7 11 and it sounded like something blew up.. I called them Monday morning and Sarah and Jim told me to bring truck up there right away. He said he would do a diagnosis on it and came to find out it was my transfer case. I was very anxious because thats a lot of money!! They fixed the transfercase and its leak also did a transmission flush and a full synthetic 12000 mile oil change!! It was done that Friday and man was I happy and they did an awesome job. Very trustworthy and honest shop. Also very clean and part of the BBB. Id recommend them to anyone for any mechanical issues!! Ty Jim, Sarah, and all your techs!! Really appreciate everything!!

Jim and his staff were very helpful in towing my truck and replacing the clutch. Work was perfect, the work was done on time. I would recommend Trans Tech as the only place in Colorado Springs to have your transmission work done if you want honest pricing, great service and a warranty call Jim. You will be glad you did after the work is done.

Great place to have work done on your vehicle!! I was having some transmission problems. Another local shop wanted to charge me to replace the transmission. The folks at Trans Tech Auto & Truck repaired a leaking transmission line and serviced my transmission and now my truck runs like it did when I bought it. They did an awesome job and saved me a lot of money. I highly recommend using Trans Tech Auto & Truck for all of your automotive service and repair needs. I know that I will be using them from now on.

I have a 2008 Expedition that has had an issue with the 4x4 front hubs trying to engage when in 2 wheel high. I tried a number of companies in town and they couldnt even replicate the issue mainly because they didnt put in the time to find the issue. Trans Tech did an exceptional job of listening to my facts around the problem and the history of it - then they put in the time (many many long test drives) to truly diagnose and fix the problem. Thanks for believing me and finding the issue! So Happy - took it to the mountains and did some serious 4x4 afterwards - two thumbs up!

Jim was able to get me in short notice and did an excellent job. Combed over my entire truck and made sure everything was ship shape! The staff was super friendly as well. Definitely highly recommended!

I used to think highly of Jim Morin myself... That was before I changed the differential fluid in my jeeps front axle and discovered the broken mounting tabs on the e locker that he installed. Turns out he had to have known he was installing a broken locker because I found the washers he installed over the cracked mounting tabs in order to cover up the botched installation. Whats even more disturbing is that Auburn Gear (the e locker manufacturer) knew about the defective mounting tabs and would have exchanged the defective locker for the newer beefed up design at no charge. Jim Morin made the conscious decision to be deceitful rather than complete the repair properly. Most likely because he botched the installation two previous times and blamed it on defective lockers. My jeep is not a daily driver so its been some time since he did the work. It wasnt until I was performing scheduled maintenance that I found the deception. Now its too late for Auburn Gear to make good on the defective part he installed.Yup... I thought Jim was a good guy, too. Now I find him to be a deceitful crook. His deception is going to cost me $900+ in parts and $350 for labor to have someone who is honest do the job correctly.Saw your reply Jim... I will be visiting you in person to give you an opportunity to make it right.

Took my Escalade in for a diagnostic first thing on 01/30 due to a ticking sound in my engine. I felt it was likely a lifter or the cam. First being most likely but I wanted to be sure before either I or them took any further action on it. So I took it in for the diagnostic. After days of getting that they were looking into it. I got it back this morning on 02/04. I asked what they had found out and I was told its deep in there. I tried asking what that meant to get some kind of idea what they were thinking, and was told they dont really know and they would have to take it apart. I asked if they pulled the valve covers (which Id think would be the first step in diagnosing a tick) and the day I pick it up Im told they dont do that in a diagnostic. He said they have a good stethoscope and a camera. When I dropped it off I was told it may be a few days if they have to pull the covers. 3 business days and Im guessing all they did was try to listen to it? In my initial contact with them, I had explained I already had a shop with a stethoscope look at it and they told me what area the thought it was coming from. And that was free of charge... So I just paid $140 for what I had done days prior and still to not have an answer on my engine tick. Most places wont charge if they cant tell you whats wrong in a diagnostic. Ill be opening the valve covers this weekend to physically look at the lifters myself to narrow the issue down. Wish i had gotten it back last Friday so I could have had it done already.

Awful money hungry cant do one job mechanics. !!!Update!!8/26/18.This guy promising hes a BBB A+ member refuses to go with BBB and will not give me a dime. BBB now recommends counseling services. Personally I recommend a small claims court date!!! This guys a fraud and it will come to the light soon. One step at a time. I dont care if I have to update my 1 star review of this place everyday. it should get 0 stars!!!Here we go let the games begin.....My car wouldn’t go into gear. My usual shop was busy said try a different place. I ended up calling Jim here because he is supposedly bbb a+ (hell no he is not). Had it towed there describing the uniqueness of the car. He said bring it in we will fix it. He made me order the parts. Took him a month to fix it. Never test drove it but definitely took my money. Then he rudely asks how I’m going to get it home. I said I’m driving it. He ran away. Found my car didn’t start right up because my new battery was half dead as they left the lights on. I barely made it home. I called them repeatedly that somethings wrong. Typical run around. Now were in talks with the BBB. Save your money, your time, and your vehicle! Go any where else but here!!!!

Had my transmission serviced todsy. As always a great job ! Always friendly and affordable. Have had 2 full rebuilds in the past and never a problem. Jim even followed up to be sure it was running well. I wont use anyone else.

I was un a dire situation and chose this shop based upon reviews and location. Everyone there is so professional and kept me informed every step of the way. They provided. Me with options that would fit my budget and Jim was an awesome help explaining what was wrong and the process to fix it. Sarah is very professional and awesome to speak with anytime i had questions.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff. The work was performed on time. All my options were explained to me in terms that allowed me to make an informed decision as to what course of action would be the best for me. This is my second time as a customer and I would return for additional work without hesitation.

I looked around looking for something better than the dealer. I had my timing belt w/kit, spark plugs and oil changed on my 2010 Honda Pilot. Completed in 1 day which was important and no issues at all. I would recommend them to anyone, but you have to be patient since they are a small shop and cant repair everyones vehicle in the same day which I understood & I made appointment to get work done.

Been coming here for over 12 years, jim and his team are the finest in the business. We bring our entire fleet of trucks here because they are so thorough. Our last repair was completed in a day. Engine cooler lines and air conditioning leak repair. Wow. Thank you Jim.

Jim, Sara & Chris (technician), thank you for the honest work done on my 1992 Acura Legend. It was in need of some TLC and Chris did a truly professional job with a long list of maintenance requests (replaced the timing belt/water pump and related parts, replaced other engine belts, ABS diagnostic, transmission/power steering/brake/transfer case fluid flush, new battery, washer fluid tube repair as well as others). The turn around time to get my vehicle was quicker than I expected and I appreciate Chris diligence in getting my Acura back on the road quickly.Sara was very customer service oriented and always would get me the answer I needed in short order. She was such a joy to work with and its worth the trip to Trans Tech just to deal with her. Sara is very friendly and another true professional.Jim was very honest in recommending maintenance items for my vehicle. I received daily updates from Jim about the status of my repairs. Jim spend several days looking for a salvaged part to help minimize my costs ... that was very much appreciated.This was my second time using Trans Tech (first time was for a transmission on a 1999 Toyota Sienna) and I would not hesitate to return for my future vehicle maintenance needs. I have taken my Jeep Commander here for 4 years. Another shop said replace the transmission. Jim said bring it here, let me look. Long story, shortened. Jim replaced some seals and minor adjustments. No new tranny needed. I now have 241,000 on my Commander and it still runs perfectly. Only place to come for honest, outstanding work!!!

On April 6th, 2017 I dropped off a project truck to Trans Tech Auto & Truck for them to inspect and rebuild a 46RE transmission in a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4. This truck had been purchased with a damaged transmission and required a complete rebuild.After speaking with Jim many times over the specifications for the transmission and updates on progress, the transmission was done in approximately 8 days. This included components that needed to be shipped in, transfer case work, and some custom work.The truck is currently still being overhauled (not the transmission) and is in storage a large amount of time. I have only driven the truck approximately 25 miles since I received it from Trans Tech Auto & Truck however initial performance is good. I was asked to bring the vehicle back at 500 miles to ensure quality and maintain the warranty. I will update this review if anything changes.Overall I was extremely impressed with the turnaround time, especially considering the specifics of this build. I am currently happy with the results and will update once I get a chance to put the new transmission through its paces.(Disclaimer: I was offered money for this review however it has had no bearing on the accuracy of this reviews contents.)

Well my Truck broke down in Fair play; CO. got it tow back to Colorado Springs. Started to get estimates on how much it would be for a refurbished transmission here in the springs. Receive a quote in Fair Play CO, then 3 more down in the springs. After doing a google search, found Trans Tech Auto & Truck, with A++ rating from BBB. Call Sarah, and ask to speak to owner. Jim called me back ASAP, and told him the problem. He said bring it down and we will take a look at it. Jim said I dont know how you could even drove this truck; all the gears are lock up. I said God must have known that I need to take it to you guys and got me here. Jim recommended a rebuild transmission with all gears replace. Also flushing the transmission oil area and putting 16 qt of new oil back in. I said in the near future I like to tow something behind me truck. He said he would recommend that I put in a Synthetic Oil (25,000 miles before I need to change it out), as it will do a much better job for your truck. Also to put a cool block on the radiator, that will make the transmission cooler by 30 to 40% when towing. I was not aware of this at all. I thought when buy a tow package with truck, it took care of that. Jim said no that is not the case. Jim came in $1000, under 2 estimate and $2200 under another company in town. The staff gives you excellent knowledge of what you are getting. Sarah, the team and Jim rock, you wont go wrong using them for all your auto needs. 5 stars. Received a 3 year warranty or 50,000 miles as well.Pat Steiger

I took my 08 Dodge Sprinter to a transmission repair shop.. The shop owner did a test drive with me and held the scanner so I could not see it. He told me the code was a torque converter proplem. He recommended I replace the entire transmission for $4,000... I took it to Jim at trans tech auto. We did a test drive, no codes!!! It had a bad vibration just before shifting... Jim recommended starting with a simple flush. It fixed it!!! He saved me the $4,000.. Because of his honesty I will bring all of my vehicles to trans tech auto

Return service with my 1967 Mustang. Trans Tech previously installed new engine and rebuilt automatic transmission a couple years ago....outstanding service and care on my 67. Current jobs were complete 100% brake rebuild, all parts. Complete power steering rebuild, Replace heater core, replace worn tie rod end, rear end axle bearings and seal replace. All completed with excellent results and superior drivability for my 67. The extra care that Jim and his staff gave my 67 was above and beyond. Jim values and respects the added care needed for a classic or daily driven car or truck. Thanks to Jim and staff for another job well done for my 1967 Mustang.
