It’s my first visit with a bad experience. I replaced two tires. They told me it was about one hour work but actually it’s more than two hours. Finally I got my car, I understand it may be a little bit dirty during repair. However, I saw the grease stains everywhere on my car as in photo. I don’t think it’s professional and it doesn’t match the review ratings at all.

While visiting Columbia, SC I accidentally blew out both of my drivers side tires. I was headed back home (about a two hour trip away) on a Sunday and most car shops were closed. Luckily, Mavis was open and although they were pretty booked for they day, the said they would squeeze me in. Everyone I worked and spoke with were kind and courteous, and there were several different affordable options for new tires.

Professional, fast, and thoughtful service. I will be a repeat customer if needed. Highly recommend!

Great service. Had an issue with my battery plugs not being screwed on correctly because a different shop failed to do so. They found the issue, and fixed it free of charge very quickly.

I’m so glad that I decided to come to this Mavis location to purchase a tire when my tire went flat. Mr. Elbert & Tiffany were so helpful & courteous throughout my whole experience at this location. Honestly speaking, I haven’t experienced fantastic customer service like this at any of the other tire places I have visited. I was well taken care of. These people are phenomenal. Very pleasant and sweet. Ive been coming here for a while. But Its been a month in a half since I got my last oil change. When I got there, the manager stated that it will be a while due to short of staff. I didnt mind because i had the patience for it. Plus I really needed an oil change that day. They got me in less than hour. I was very please with their work. This is my go to spot.

Tiffany the customer service desk was quick, knowledgeable and very polite and I must say the mechanic thomas was just as awesome. I went in to get rear brakes done and it wasnt time. Thank you for your honesty. I was taken to the back and shown they were not needed. Our military family sure does appreciate it. If I had of went somewhere else they may have not been so honest and cause my family unnecessary money. Keep up the good work. I highly recommend.

I rarely let someone touch my cars. Most things I can do myself. I have learned that I can trust Mavis on Bluff Road. They are friendly, professional and they know what they are doing! I have moved around and have used many tire places. Mavis on Bluff Road is among a very very select few that I can trust my vehicles with. Frankly, if I have to get outside help, I go to them even before I go to the dealerships.

I was riding around and going to different tires shops. I passed by Mavis tire shop. I turned around just to see what the pricing and availability for the tire I needed. Mr. Elbert the store manager at Mavis is nothing but the truth. Customer service excellent, and knowledgeable and he was able to show me how to get all the work I needed done paid for with my new flex shop account! If you ever need any tires or work done for your tires please dont hesitate going to Mavis you will not be disappointed. The manager Elbert Turner was really nice on the phone and In person he was even nicer I didnt know exact what I was doing but he was working with me and Helping me work thru what needed to be done he was really attentive also Teri P. Was nice on the phone. The store is clean and the customer service is 10 outta 10. I would come back again.

Not only are they open on Sundays...They have quick, sufficient and friendly service. We had a near blown tire! They found the problem, fixed it and had us out within 45mins. The vending machine took my kids change and Jordan gave them money out of his pocket. Seth and Jordan were great!

I had the opportunity to deal with Justin at Mavis and I have to say that this will be the shop I go to for all my vehicle needs from this point on. I originally was going to get four tires but I only needed two, Justin did not pressure me to get four, he checked and made sure that my other two tires were good, he came out and told me how long it would be before the vehicle was ready, when I informed him that I didnt live far and I was going to Uber home, he offered to take the cost of the Uber off for me. When does that ever happen. So they paid for my Uber so I could go home and get a little sleep for a couple hours, deducted the amount from my total bill. They have my business. And everyone was extremely nice the entire time I was there.

They were very professional, friendly and explained everything that was wrong with my vehicle. The manager was very helpful and had the best attitude that I have come across in a business in a long time. Great customer service great location and no one could have beat that price. This place shouldnt get no stars because they are inexperienced people. One of the workers asked how to do a alignment and the man told him to do it to the best of his ability which is he didnt know what he was doing . They a scam dont go to them take your money elsewhere they just want free money

I was told by a mechanic that my ccr needed am alignment. I went to Mavis Tires on Bluff Rd to get an alignment and to check to see if I needed my tires rotated and balanced. After Tyler the technician checked my vehicle on a machine, I was called to the back in the bay area where my car was at and Tyler explained to me that machine was showing green and that I didnt need an alignment and my tires didnt need to be balanced or rotated. The manager Elbert told me that we just wanted you to know that we run an honest business. Me being a woman know that they could have easily been dishonest and took my money without doing any service to my car. I just want to thank Elbert and Tyler for being so professional and friendly because its hard to find honest people these days!! I definitely will be a loyal customer.

Walked in at 8 in the morning and after four hours my truck never made it in the shop. There was no air in the waiting area and the desk staff had the big industrial fan turned on their selves. I am totally disappointed because Ive used the Mavis store in Macon ga and was pleased with the service. I will never use Mavis again. I should have known it would be trouble when my quoted price that I had a printout for changed.

I am new to the Columbia Sc area I had a check engine light come on in my vehicle and was suggested to take it to Mavis. I called them and they took my vehicle with no issue. They call me and told me the issue was my battery 🔋 and the price to replace battery was 500$ remind you I have a 2015 Chevy Malibu what battery cost that much. So I called the Chevy dealership to get an quote on a battery the price they gave me was 253$ making Mavis trying to charge me double for a battery. I talk to the guy at Mavis and they then sold me a battery for 245$ which was more reasonable. I paid for my services and left the facility for 20 mins and my check engine light came back on. I honestly think they never checked my engine light due to me being from out of town they just told me my battery cause that would be the easy thing to say and changing batteries will reset the check engine light. I was scammed I rather die then to ever receive services from this place ever again.

We were in South Carolina visiting family and on the way back to Ohio we had a major problem with a tire we did an internet search for a tire company near us and came up with two tire dealers one didn’t have very good reviews but Mavis did so we went there. So glad we did!! Teri treated us great and we bought 4 new tires without an appointment on a Sunday and were back on the road in 2.5 hours. Great experience!!

Bad service call about frontend alignment told to bring in today we can do it this morning.Drop truck off at 9:30 am return at 4:30 pm to be told that techs were too busy to do an alignment after you told me to bring in.That bad busy when I ask if you were able to perform service for me that morning. I look inside the Bay Area and only one car inside all other techs just walking around like they are lost.Not a good look for first-time customers.Want be returning there.If you want your car service the same day thats not the place. Stay away from Bluff rd. shop.

My car died the other week and I had it towed here. They swapped out the battery and said I was good to go and that they tested the alternator and said it was working properly. But a day or two later it died I went a couple weeks thinking I had a complicated electrical problem but once I took it to another shop they quickly diagnosed the alternator as the issue. This caused a lot of trouble for me not happy at all

Had an appointment and left my truck for the entire day just to hear they didnt have time to get to it until the very last hour, but they wanted me to leave it for another day! I was VERY disappointed and thus left with keys in hand.

I noticed my tire was flat on Sunday afternoon... I searched online and found this location was open and drove right on over. I made it one hour before closing and there were a few people ahead of me but they fit me in. My tire was sealed, didnt have to buy a new one. Great service and customer service.

Went there for a tire repair. The young lady at the front desk was very nice. Mr. Elbert was great, he was very nice and let me know I was over inflated my tires, which I kind figured I did but not at the level he told me. I showed me how to know how much air I needed in each tired. He was awesome!!

I like this location more than one of the others I’ve been too. I usually wait because I don’t make appointments, but please do yourself a favor and learn from my mistakes. Just make an appointment and have a ride. Sitting here the entire day is a little too much. But the manager Mr. Elbert Turner has been so sweet and awesome with me!

Contacted Mavis to look at two of my vehicles. One needed brake pads and who knows what else and my other vehicle was having issues accelerating over a certain speed. I was given the code that the scanner gave and was explained other alternatives. The main reason for bringing the car besides getting it fixed was for information on what the problem is. This is my first experience with this Mavis and must say that everyone was courteous and professional. Was able to get both of my vehicles serviced and looked into within a matter of a few hours. I was given prices upfront when I called and spoke with Teri(Assistant Manager). She was very thorough and honest about how many mechanics in today and what they could and could not do. Very patient with me this morning. I was also able to get some information from the mechanic before I arrived Elbert Turner(Store Manager), immediately assist me with my needs and entered all information into system. Very knowledgeable and I advised that I do not like rushed jobs on my vehicles...please do it right..we had an interesting conversation about that. If I didn’t decide to drive the car I probably wouldn’t have come this way. So I must add that he is a great negotiator. Service was awesome!! Glad I did. They did me right in the end...must see for yourself!!

Elbert Turner was very helpful. However, tire replacement tech broke two hub dust covers that cost me $110 & 2 hours to replace.

We are traveling from FL on our way North and had tire issues. Elbert and his team took great care of us and got us safely back on the road quickly.

Ive been having problems with one of my tires and brought my car in today to have the tire replaced (or so I expected). I assumed it would need replaced, but they ended up patching up the tire for a less than a quarter of what a new tire would have cost me for a new tire. I spoke with the store manager, Mr. Elbert Turner, while I was in and he was extremely kind and professional. As a woman I tend to find that going to the mechanic can be stressful, because I usually end up getting talked down to, or end up having the people trying to push extras onto me thinking I wont know better.They didnt try anything like this, and Elbert was very respectful and wonderful to work with!I will definitely be coming back the next time my car needs anything!

I have never in my life left a review, but i needed to in this case.absolutely horrible experience with Mavis Tires and Brakes. I dropped my car off Saturday morning at 9am to have my brake pads replaced as well as have them see if they could see why my coolant was leaking. The store closed at 5pm and at 4pm, I still had not heard anything about my car. I called and asked if I could get an update. Not only did they say my car wasnt ready, but they told me that they had received 3 faulty products for my car. I had not heard any kind of update about this matter either.The store manager is the only reasonable man in this place. The assistant manager is a different story. The manager told me prior to my visit that he would replace my brake pads for $99 because I was a college student. Well he was not there on that Sunday when I went and picked my car up. They would not let me see my receipt before I purchased and I was charged $450 for a brake pad replacement and a thermostat gasket replacement.I have since reached out to my retired mechanic coworker. He informed me that not only was I overcharged, but they withheld a page from the receipt from me.The real kicker is that I asked them to figure out why my coolant was leaking, which was causing my engine to overheat. Thus why they replaced my thermostat gasket. I get maybe 3 miles down the road and my engine overheated. Confused, I popped my hood to find my coolant tank not put properly back on and completely empty with the tab open.I called back because I had to be somewhere and the receptionist told me she would take a message and have the assistant manager call me back. this was at 11:30am Sunday. At noon Monday, I still had no call back.Finally I get ahold of them and they essentially accused me of being incompetent and said my car took special coolant. I had to go to OReileys and have them screw my tank back on and purchase my own coolant, in which my car does not take special.Note to self and to others, DO NOT GO HERE. Especially if you are a college female.

Work around the corner from this location of Mavis. Parked at work and noticed a nail in my tire. Called to see about dropping off for the day and just picking up later. It is a Wednesday. Called from my cell at 9 a.m. to be told they were BOOKED FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK and couldnt help me... not really trusting the person on the phone, I called back from my work number within 2 minutes and asked about getting 4 new tires: They said they could get me in immediately, come on by. Your staff is lazy. Do better.

Had a great experience here. Filled up my tires for free. I talked to Elbert Turner, the store manager and he was really helpful.

I had my tires changed twice at the same location within a year and half. Went A third time to get a new one because I had a flat. When I got there they said they couldn’t get the lug nuts because they were too tight, which this was the only place I had taken my car to get serviced. I called customer service and they were going to have the DM contact me and said I was a priority because my tire was leaking air while I was driving. That was about three or four months ago and I’m still waiting on that call.

Great facility. Well clean and very spacious. Wait times vary depending on the number of tecs they have working and the order load. They keep u well informed and try to give u the best deals they can without breaking the bank. All in all I will recommend to anyone looking for great tires, car maintenance or service.

Went to get one single tire patched and left with 2 brand new ones and a 350 dollar check without me even telling them to fix another. My name is James, I was working out of town in a company truck. I called them when I was on the side of the road to see if they could fit me in as I was on my way back to Tennessee we were working at Shaw air Force Base when I noticed smoking coming from the left rear tire. I asked that the brake center there would change out a left rear caliper and a brake line or whatever else it needed to fix up the problem I thought that I had. Ive worked in the automotive industry before anytime somebody brings in a vehicle and they want something replaced 90% of the people do it no matter if its broke or not the store manager at this location Albert Turner was very professional along with the other members of his team. I came in with an autoplate license plate willing to spend whatever it took to get my company truck back home and I left there not spending a dollar because they said I didnt need anything they spent 3 hours on my truck checking everything to make sure I was in good operating condition to drive back to Tennessee. Im writing this review having made it back to Tennessee without any issues. Any other place would have charged an arm and a leg.
