I was looking to purchase items for a trip with coworkers and stopped in the store with my daughter. Ive noticed several times in passing that children were accompanied by adults in the store. However, I was denied service because my daughter was a minor. As we were leaving the parking lot, a man was leaving the store with his daughter (a minor) and his purchased items. If its the policy, at least be consistent.

Poor customer service.On a couple of previous visits, the staff had suggested that I sign up for their Bottles Club for discounts. They said I could just sign up on my phone while in the store, but I didnt have my phone with me (it was with my grumpy child in the car). Yesterday I finally remembered to sign up ahead of time, and travelled way out of my way to visit this store-- for the club discount (for a specific product). When I got the counter, my phone number/membership didnt come up in the system. The cashier asks the manager to come over, and he asks how long ago I submitted the club form, and I told him it had been earlier that day. He said Oh well it takes like 48 hours to go through.This is the moment where customer service can make or break an experience-- I was clearly frazzled and stressed, and said that the discount was the *only* reason I visited their store for this purchase. He just shrugged. I asked, is there anything you can do to help? He shrugged. I put part of my purchase back on the shelf. I left feeling really small and wanting to cry.The store could have done one of three things here:1. Maybe the manager was bad with reading body language, or just was not attuned to customer service needs. My guess is that he had the ability to help with the situation, but appeared to truly not give a sh*t.2. If the managers did not have the option to override the discount, the store should really give managers the discretion to help a customer who signed up but wasnt in the system yet. I could have shown the confirmation email or provide other verification.3. At a BARE minimum, the store could add on their website form and/or confirmation email that the membership will not activate for 48 hours, to save them the trip/frustration. Its totally fine that the system is slow to update (maybe they have to do something manually?), but providing this info would give potential customers a chance to make an informed decision.This is such a physically nice store, but that experience felt incredibly unfriendly and negative. The staff seemed to be just totally apathetic. An experience that could have made me a loyal customer now has made me want to avoid the store at all costs.

The people that work here really know their stuff. Granted I mainly find myself on the harder spirits side of the store, both sides employee friendly and helpful people. If they are out of something they are ready to suggest something new but similar to make sure the customer is happy!

Great selection, reasonable prices, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Great Place to shop for your Adult braveges with a % of course. They do carry one of best selections in town. If they dont have simply ask to special order for you. This folks are there to tailor your needs and make you happy!

I guess with the title name, I expected fancy beverages that also included NON-ALCOHOLIC items. Not so much.Employees are friendly, but seemed disappointed that I was looking for Birch Beer Soda.

A little overpriced on some things. Overpaid for champagne that was highly touted by a supposed knowledgeable employee.

I thought it was just me until I read the reviews. When I approached the entrance, I noticed 1. I had to wear a mask, 2. I couldn’t bring my pet, 3. I had to be over 21. After shopping for almost 45 minutes, I was ready to check out. Cashier asked to see my ID, “if I didn’t mind.” I replied that I did.There was no written policy policy provided, nor was there any rationale for this unreasonable policy! I’m 69 years old with grandchildren old enough shop here, and while I believe anyone who appears under 30-35 should be carded to make sure laws are not broken, but to card those who are obviously over the age of 21 begs the question, What are you REALLY looking for on my ID!The attitude displayed by the cashier and store manager were enough to change my mind about shopping here, as the policy serves no reasonable purpose. I will gladly pay more elsewhere, or even wait for my on-line order to be shipped. Customer service and practice policies matter!In closing, why was I asked for my ID, “if I didn’t mind,” if that’s NOT what they meant!

They have literally everything. Good prices. Will definitely go back

Rude staff... need to treat them as children for them to acknowledge that you exist. Rather be sober than buy from here. Worth the drive to Georgia to avoid this place. Overall the building has a great selection. But need to vet employees due to their lack of giving a ..... poop.

Ive been to this store twice and I visited the liquor and the wine side of the store both times. I was treated with dignity and respect both times on the liquor side, but on the second visit to the wine side, I felt profiled. We are Detroit natives and were so happy to see they sold Vernors ginger ale so we looked for it on that second trip. They no longer carried it, but that wasnt the problem. The problem was a young white dark haired male watched my every move to the point where I was extremely uncomfortable. My husband who happens to be white noticed it too. I was the only black person in the store at the time and no one else was being watched from around corners and the what not. We wont be going back.

Very wide variety of wines and liquor Offerings. The staff is very helpful and insightful and are willing to share their experiences with Different types of wines.

Bottles is the best liquor store in town. Hands down. Great selection. Great staff (usually). Greens and Morganellis staff are always hostile. At least here you’ll get cheerful indifference on a bad day. On a good day they’ll go above and beyond to make sure you leave happy.

Funny, man that helped me gave me info Abt churches to see in Anchorage. :). Helped me pick wine for finicky friend in three minutes.

Girlfriend went here on 12/9/20 at 6pm. Staff was incredibly rude when she asked for help. Woman said I work on the liquor side. Then had to be prompted to get someone who could assist on the wine side.Gentlemen on that side was on his phone, looked up the wine she wanted, said we dont have it. And went back to his phone.At no point were they polite or helpful. Just rude and blunt. Id advise going here only if you KNOW exactly what you want and what that compares to. Staff doesnt comprehend customer service.

Will never shop there again!! My wife went into the store with her daughter who was helping her carry her purchase to the front. Where the employee announced she was not allowed to purchase anything because the underage daughter had touched the purchase and it wasnt allowed!! Bye bye Bottles

Asked the cashier for a price on a 24 pack of Corona. She looked it up and said $33. As she’s finalizing the transaction, manager comes up and corrects her, and notifies me that this is “(4) six packs and that’s why the new price is more”. Thankful that he did the math for me- I had no idea 24 bottles was the equivalent of the aforementioned. You’d think buying in bulk from a “beverage superstore” would offer savings- but clearly that’s not the case- even after I’d purchased over $100 in wine and $50 in beer. Customer service at its finest.

Great Selection and seemingly nice staff but....I went into Bottles for the first time today to find a wine I had never heard of. I decided to call from the car to see if they had it. The guy on the phone said they did, I thanked him enthusiastically, he said youre welcome and I hung up. I park and go in, and I walk in to hear the same guy complaining very loudly to his coworkers. That some guy had just said Thank you so much! and hung up in his face. I immediately knew who he was talking about because it had been maybe a minute. It was incredibly embarrassing. I dont know exactly what I did to upset him, if theres some thing I shouldve done but I didnt. Im sincerely sorry for offending him, but as someone who knows little to nothing about wine this made me feel incredibly self conscious as I was headed to the register to be checked out by the same guy. Ill definitely be back since the store seemed clean and organized, but not for a very long while.

Prices arent as good as some nearby competitors and they dont have some of the limited releases that micro breweries like Edmunds Oast seem to give to other establishments nearby. The store is clean and the staff is generally friendly. The growler station is a nice attraction.

My group was refused service today. I was with a group of adults and only one was purchasing alcohol. I was not purchasing any alcohol. When prompted by the cashier, the other two adults were able to produce IDs. I was not able to show ID as I did not bring my ID. As previously stated, I was not purchasing alcohol. We were informed that we would be refused service because all adults could not produce IDs.I went to the car. When a member of the group went back in by himself to separately purchase alcohol that he had chosen himself, with no one else in the group present, he was refused service.I hope that the response to this review is a statement of policy that refers to individuals that walk with a purchaser needing to produce ID when prompted. Is it a part of your policy that service can be refused even when an individual is no longer with the group? I hope that signage can be used to inform individuals that simply want to walk in the door that a member of their party will be refused service if all adults are unable to produce ID.I hope all individuals that shop in the spirit section of this location can be made aware that not only do they have to be over 21 to purchase alcohol, they have to be over 21 to be accompanying someone purchasing alcohol. The law certainly does not support this policy. I have seen individuals purchase wine in grocery stores with their children present.If this is not the policy, I fear that I may have been profiled today. I am a 24 year old female. This was not a pleasant experience, and I do not feel that anyone should have to go through this much trouble over a bottle of Bacardi.

The selection is fantastic. The store is organized well. They were sampling whisky when we went and the customer service was great. Multiple employees asked if we needed assistance. What stuck out was their knowledge of the products. They were able to help customers find what they were looking for, and even recommend new products.

Love coming here and checking out their beer choices on tap. The guy who is usually back there is always helpful.

I went in the liquor side right before Christmas looking for the perfect bourbon. There eas enough knowledgeable staff available for advice if needed. I didnt visit the beer/wine side this day but they have every kind of beer you can imagine.

Greeted by friendly knowledgeable staff and they have a very large selection. Wine thru the left door and liquor & brewing supplies to the right. Stopped by to buy a hydrometer, great prices. Highly recommend that you pay them a visit.

Favorite place to go and get liquor, beer, and wine. Friendly staff thats very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Prices are a cheaper than other liquor stores in the area and they constantly have sales and promotions.

My go to place to purchase Spirits. Great selection, Knowledgeable & Friendly Staff and the prices are hard to beat. They have liquor tastings on the weekends. Conveniently located. Gove them a try. You may just make it your go to place to purchase your Spirits also.

They have a good selection but theres been multiple times recently where the beer has tasted funky. I will look on the bottom of the can and its past the best by date. I usually check expiration dates at the grocery store but I wouldnt expect to have to do it for a beer. Last time I went I actually saw someone else in the store returning a pack of beer because it tasted funny...so I dont think Im the only one having this problem

This WAS a glowing 5 star review, but sadly I have to change it. I went to Bottles on my way to work today just like Ive done a hundred times since they opened. I took my purchase to the register, but the card reader couldnt read the chip on my card for some reason. The screen said to swipe the card, but he lady at the counter said I wasnt allowed to, and to use another form of payment, then pointed to a bit of paper taped to the machine with some policy written on it. When I said all I had was my card, she said she was really sorry... I had no other choice but to make the empty handed walk of shame back to my car. A short drive later I told this to the man at the small liquor store down the street, and he found it quite humorous. Their card reader read my chip without issue, I WASNT treated like a criminal, and I got on with my day. Apparently Bottles is doing SUCH great business that theyre turning away paying customers!

Great selection of everything with knowledgeable, friendly people as well. I had a great experience at a Bottles in Charleston and this one was just as good. Make sure you ask them what else they may have if you are searching​ for some rarer beers.
