Finally got to try this place..busy on a Sunday morning. We are inside because the outside dining was full. Recommend the Big Boi. Portions were just right. The decor is nice and the staff were very friendly. You may notice a picture of a cute boy above the kitchen window, I was told it was the owner when he was a child. It was a nice touch. You go right by the kitchen on the way to the restrooms. Gives you a good view of the very clean kitchen. Awesome place and we will be back! Shayla was our server and she had great customer service.
Amazing food, great atmosphere. Even on a busy Sunday morning, we were seated immediately and didnt have to wait very long for our meals. Staff was friendly and professional! Ill definitely be returning. :)
It can pretty hard to get a table or order carry-out here because they are always packed, but its a nice brunch spot.Breakfast burritos are pretty good, and their Carey Burrito is an explosion of textures and flavors. I love how outside of the box it is, and is probably my favorite burrito in town. Unfortunately their biscuits and gravy were pretty bad. We ordered the sausage gravy, but we couldnt taste any sausage, salt or pepper. Strangely it was just... Really sour?Still, worth a visit.
Great food! Comfortable atmosphere with awesome food. Dont miss out on this place. Come early as crowds can form quickly.
Tried to use online ap to order. Order did not go through. Waitress was awesome she took my order and I paid for it and waited in my truck. She brought it out to me. I got the eggs Benedict. It was an English muffin two eggs and ham. The holindaise sauce was very watery and was not a true hollandaise sauce. It tasted like a watered down cheese sauce. The egg yikes were very orange which means they were free range chickens. I will go back but will eat something else. For what ai got for the price it wasnt worth it. I just hope the waitress who waited on me got what she was worth. She was very helpful and accommodating.
Never a bad meal here. Its one of a few breakfast places I frequent in the area.
They did great. The food was fantastic. I believe the OJ was freshly squeezed. The bacon was fully cooked not over cooked with no pink. The omelette may have had a little to much cheese for the eggs to cook correctly. Also the cheese out powered the flavor of the spinach and egg. However, I didn’t leave anything on the plate. The toast were to big. The coffee was perfect. The best part and I am sorry in advance for being who I am, there was lots of eye candy. From the waitresses to the college girls, I could have stayed all day and enjoyed the views. I gotta get some help, I know.
One of my favorite locations for breakfast! Best b&g in town.
Great coffee and fresh squeezed juices. Friendly staff and environment but could use a good deep cleaning...dust everywhere and the bar was very crowded (with things not people) and chaotic. Food tasted fresh.
My latest experience at Cafe Berlin was absolutely amazing. The new vibe, the new menu, and service staff were absolutely amazing. If you have not been to Cafe Berlin lately you have no excuse not to go check it out.
Long wait, but the place was packed. The server kept coming over to give us an update and refill drinks. Very good service, and amazing food. Such a simple dish was flavored well beyond expectations. Would highly recommend this nice little Cafe.
Best food in Columbia! The staff is amazing. I have never been disappointed and I am very discerning. Satisfying and delicious! (Maybe not the brown sugar apple pancake unless you like sweets)
Been in CoMo for 10 years, always wanted to try out Cafe Berlin, but never have until today. The atmosphere, the food, drinks, the people, everything about Cafe Berlin is AMAZING! You get a lot of food, freshly prepared (including fresh squeezed juices), and it was delicious! We will definitely be coming back, as it is already a favorite!
While in Columbia MO recently, we had breakfast there with my grandson and his girlfriend. The food was excellent and it was an overall very good experience. They have a small parking lot in front and there is plenty of parking on the adjacent streets if that is full. I highly recommend it.
We patiently waited to be seated it was busy we were the only ones waiting and could of gone to the bar but we decided to just wait for a table. After about 10 min we got seated as they dropped off our water goblets I immediately noticed there were both dirty and let them know and they replaced it with 2 clean goblets. Then we placed our drink orders to the server after waiting awhile for him to return they were not that busy at this point there was an empty table around us. About 10 minutes later the server came back to take our orders and said our drinks should be out shortly, 20 minutes later our drinks were still not out, we tried waiving down the server that never seemed Interested in helping us in the first place but he wouldn’t pay attention. I wish I could tell you how the food and drinks were but after waiting over 25 minutes for our Drinks alone we decided to leave and didn’t Eat or Drink anything. We were there around Noon on a Saturday so it’s not like they were closing anytime soon but from the sound of the silverware being put together from the staff right next to everyone tables you would think that closing time was 1pm not 2pm. I would recommend going Somewhere else This place definitely isn’t professional or managed properly.
Yum awesome. Great food
Atmosphere bin this restaurant is really cool. Great music, relaxing vibe. Food was pretty good, but they were out of the Sweet BB so I asked about the mixed veggies. The waitress stated that it would be spinach, tomatoes, peppers and onions (pic 1). There were 3 small spinach leaves, mostly onions, and no flavor. I asked for Black beans and tortillas (make the best of it). The waitress brought the black beans and stated it would be a while for the tortillas because the kitchen was busy and had to prepare orders that it already had before they could warm the tortillas. I asked the host for a manager and upon telling him the issue he went in the kitchen and brought back tortillas. My daughters food was supposed to have grilled onions. She told the waitress that the onions were missing and she said sorry about that and walked away before we could request more water. We had to wait until the end of our meal for water. Service was generously a 2 because the host was helpful. Food was ok seemed like they were just throwing it out and not taking the time to get it right. Not bad, not great, but I would return for the really cool vibe with much lower expectations.
Amazing vegetarian breakfast. Very nice wait staff and awesome atmosphere. Will come back.
Cafe Berlin is one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat for breakfast or brunch. The atmosphere, menu, and service are consistently wonderful. The menu items that I have tried all seem to be made with locally sourced and fresh ingredients. I personally recommend the classics such as French Toast, or the Eggs Benedict, but the menu is full of some great and unique dishes.
Great service. Delicious food.
I only drove through the area heading to Kansas however this place caught my eye as it is known for its famous “mo-mosa” which is basically more sparkling wine than usual. It was honestly one of the best mimosas I have ever tired! In addition to that the starving artist brunch dish was to die for! On Sundays they also live music and you just can’t beat that!
Food was delicious! Great ssrvice.
Always delicious! Friendly staff and good service. Best breakfast in Columbia ❤️
It was okay. Inside was incredibly cluttered. Food knowledge from the server was severely lacking. Had to ask for butter and syrup for pancakes. Had to ask for everything else that should have just come out automatically. Food was good. From everything I’ve heard, I expected more.
Food and service werent the best and menu selection is extremely limited.
Eclectic fusion of fresh foods. Vegan & vegetarians can eat here. Plenty of local color.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Tyler was a great server!
Breakfast was amazing. The fresh passed some juice was good too
Maybe regulars get the good stuff. First time here. Veggie Omelet, with sourdough toast single pancake. Hubby-eggs potatoes sausage bacon full breakfast. The 3 egg omlete must use small eggs. The veggies were, green & red peppers, red onions, spinach and mushrooms. Worst idea of an omlete Ive ever had. The peppers were thick cut and basically raw, totally overwhelmed the thin omlete that I asked if it had cheese, yes cheddar, that was nonexistant. Oh forgot little tomatoes that also were UNDER COOKED. The pancake looked good was was delivered so cold we folded it to get the butter to soften. These are plate size pancakes with a tiny silver cup of syrup. Asked for another and was charged $1.50. Husbands breakfast was ok. The bacon remained on the plate it was really off tasting. Best part of the whole Friday morning 10:30 am not super busy breakfast the sourdough toast (made at UpRise bakery). Its breakfast, goodness!!
Awesome food, great service. Highly recommend the huevos rancheros, I loved the corn tortillas on the side. Fajita style
The Ruben was amazing.
Sat next to a garden that was weeds. Burger bun was stale. Burger patties were very small and had very little cheese or condiments. The potatoes were good and the Compost was good. The burger was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Service was slow, but polite.
Cafe Berlin has the best breakfast in town, would strongly recommend. Never had anything on their menu I didnt enjoy, but my wife swears by the Starving Artist. Great place to eat 5/5
Five stars most deffinatley. The balance of the flavor, different combinations, and quality make this a foodie must try.The Blue Pig was perfect. Sweet, savory, and perfectly cook grits and poached egg was wonderful. The coffee is worth stopping by to get a cup to go. Top notch. The service was outstanding as well.Highly recommended.
This is such an amazing place to eat and to work! The owner cares about the community and his employees so much and is constantly finding ways to help where he can. I have nothing but love for this place. It really has some amazing prices for fresh, organic, local food which also helps our local farms. ❤💜
Cafe Berlin is a great place to grab some breakfast or brunch. It does also have a bar that I did not experience on this trip. The serve yourself coffee is a unique experience that I highly enjoyed. The atmosphere is very homey and makes you feel right at home. The food is delicious and moderately priced. The portions feel perfect for what you pay. A must go!
I have visited this restaurant 3-4 times, and each time, parking was near impossible to find whether in the lot or on the street, and a long wait was necessary for a table. Its not so bad when its nice enough to wait outside, but on a rainy day (such as my most recent visit), everyone is crowded near the entrance waiting for their name to be called. My daughter and I eventually ended up sitting at the bar rather than wait for a table, and this worked well. She ordered gluten-free french toast, and I ordered the veggie scramble with tossed greens and gluten-free toast. She loved the french toast, and I found the veggie scramble and greens very good.
On our roadtrip we stopped here for a pickup order, and it was absolutely awesome and quick! Everyone in our family loved the breakfast brunch menu, and the freshness of the food was impressive. Thank you for the great food and service!! 🥰
Best grits, try the blue cheese grits for sure!!
$2.25 for coffee is outrageous. Food was OK but nothing special. Clearly understaffed. A 40 minute wait was not worth what we got.

Outstanding breakfast burrito and coffee!
Their orange juice is hands down amazing. Literally everything there is delicious. They are super kind and sweet and never rush you to order, my favorite is the “just breakfast” add potatoes. So good! Their alcohol section isn’t too shabby either it’s all around great! Their veggies are very local too!
LOVE THIS PLACE!
Went here through out school, and its still one of my favorite brunch places on earth - amazing quality, thoughtful menu, great staff, and a true part of the community. I always make the effort to stop here once during True/False.
Delicious locally sourced menu with many dietary options available. Great staff.
Great breakfast spot!
Moved away from Columbia after finishing school, and this is hands-down the restaurant I miss the most. Im now in the DFW area and try as I might, I cant find my Cafe Berlin. Nowhere compares to this modern restaurant with a unique ambiance and even more unique food.
I heard alot about this place., So had to try it! Well its worth the hype! They have vegan/vegetarian options guys!!
My favorite place for breakfast in Columbia. Be prepared for a wait if you go during a busy time. Grab a cup of their amazing coffee and enjoy the hipster atmosphere. Their food is tastes very fresh and a lot of it is homemade and provided locally. They have some weird items on the menu that will definitely fill you up, but their is also the traditional breakfast items. Favorites are the French toast and the grits.
Went here to meet a friend who lives in Columbia. She informed me ahead of time that they have excellent vegan options and I was not let down! Many menu items can be veganized. This was definitely the best breakfast taco Ive had since going vegan almost three years ago.If youre in Columbia looking for vegan food, head here and ask your waiter which menu items can be veganized.
Feel really poorly for the employee who was running all the food out. She was clearly overworked. They had too many options, and couldn’t keep up with the orders. We sat in the curbside for 30 minutes and received lukewarm food because it had clearly been sitting out for that long.I understand that times are tough, and I would love to give them another shot. However, you can’t overpromise and under deliver. Expedient curbside service should be a priority in these times.Additionally, the employees running your orders are put in a terrible position, as I’m sure they bear the brunt of customer ire over the slow service.Addendum: when we arrived home, part of the order wasn’t there.
Best Bloody Mary in town!
Great food and great service. 😁👍
Great service and great food.
Small portions but delicious food!
You have to get the Butch Jones dish. By far the best breakfast/brunch dish Ive ever had. The apples and sausage over the pancake and bacon and eggs are heavenly. Must try!
Everything about them is amazing - the service, venue, food, etc. Keep it up all!
Visiting from out of town and had tbis recommended to us. We placed the order the night before and food was ready at the designated time. Took it to a park to eat and there were no utensils in the bag. Guess we should have asked. Order included two dirty hippie coffees (dirty Chai Latte) and they were what I would describe as gross. Tasted like they had alcohol in them. Food was fine.
Wonderful and delicious food! We ordered through DoorDash and had some issues with order arriving, but I called in and they immediately took care of all issues and were very kind about the whole thing. A great variety of food and drinks and they use sustainable packaging, we will definitely be coming here again as soon as we can!
Arrived about 10am and tried to take advantage of their contactless service. We ordered using their app, as suggested, at 10:14. Got an email that said the good would be ready at 10:50. So I had to go inside to get our coffee while we waited. And waited. And waited. I went inside after the designated time to make sure they got the note about being in the patio. Their operation is very disorganized. Food is left on an outside table and names are not said loudly enough to hear, so several people are handling and checking each order to see if it’s their’s. After an hour, we went in a third time and they had missed the patio note after all. The food was good, but not good enough to redeem the experience.
Love the food and service
Always great!
Great food and atmosphere
Try ANYTHING and just plan on going back. It is all good, and they have a really pretty good sized menu, whith a lot of tempting choices. So just pick one, and go again soon!
This brunch spot is very unique even for Columbia. By day its a delicious breakfast option with an eclectic atmosphere. The wait staff is prompt and sociable. In the evening they host various artists and they open the stage and full service bar as a music venue. If youve never been, go check it out. I reccomend the Anonymous Tacos to start.
Went here and it was very busy, more so being on a Sunday at 10am. I felt bad for staying as long as we did when the wait was nearly an hour... But I was on a date and he drove nearly 4 hrs just for our time at Cafe Berlin before returning. I was glad we werent rushed out and our waitress was consistant to check on us, warming our coffee. Loved the atmosphere as well and didnt even mind the long wait for a table. I recommend and will be going back 👌
We can’t say enough good things about the tasty brunch treats Cafe Berlin showers us with. Can’t wait until everything is back to normal to frequent them! What a great environment and we are lucky to have them here in Columbia!
Get the Butch Jones, you wont be sorry.
Yummy food! Super staff!
Amazing! It was my first time here and I loved it. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful. I felt the vibe of the place and it was such a positive vibe. Will definitely come back again and totally recommend it 🙂
Ordered online for pick up. food was ready when we got there (10-15 mins). we ordered the tacos with Veggie sausage and huevos rancheros with a over medium egg. food was warm and fresh. tortillas were steamy. everything was flavorful and strait up yummy. felt great and energized afterwards.
Great food and service
I was excited to try out this place as I saw a lot of good reviews raving about their food... in all honesty, I was just not impressed. Or maybe it was just the taste. But I didn’t quite like the biscuits and gravy that I ordered nor did I enjoy the apples and sausage over french toast either - it just tasted weird to me. But what may taste bad to one, may taste good to another. So all about personal taste. Just however it wasn’t a hit with me and I am not too hard to please. I honestly don’t think I will go back.It does have a little small cafe feel to it, which is nice and it feels welcoming. Just was not a fan of the food.
This place definitely gives off the hometown feel and love going for breakfast and brunch! Great little music venue too. The staff is always very friendly and does a great job of listening to food allergies as well as making suggestions for what you might be in the mood for. Love this and highly recommend.
A wonderful menu, most everything is locally sourced and good for you! They have the best french toast you will ever eat, you will be doing yourself a disservice by not ordering it. They have a happy staff too!
