I first came with my clothes on hangers. Not a good idea. Kris explained the process to me. They need to be neatly folded in a container. I went yesterday and am excited to bring them back. I looked around the store for a while and the selection is really great. She even told me there is a store credit option that never expires. Process seems easy enough. There was another young lady in the store. I did not get her name but she did say hi and have a nice day. Also, the store smelled fresh and clean. A nice surprise for a resale store.

Suzanne was wonderful! I recently went back to work after being home on maternity leave and Suzanne helped me pick out several outfits that were exactly what I was looking for. I bought almost everything and will absolutely be back. This was the best shopping experience I have had in a very long time. The store was immaculate, organized by color and well priced for gently used items. I recommend Suzanne and her store to all of my friends and colleagues. I only wish she would open one on my side of town !

Sold a ton of my clothes at this location (4 trash bags full, a large tote-bin, a bankers box full, and a smaller dust bag filled) and was told that Clothes Mentor would donate the rest of those on my behalf to a charity. I thought this was great as it saved me a trip and I took them up on the offer. In my lot of clothes to donate were several watches and very nice, designer clothes that they claimed needed some more care. (Even though I had washed everything prior to taking it to be sold.) In this lot to be donated were three watches, two Anne Klein and one Marc Jacobs, that Clothes Mentor would not take because their batteries did not work. I decided, instead, to just have them donated. Two weeks later Clothes Mentor calls me to ask me if I have the extra links for one of these watches because a customer wishes to buy it. I was furious - I called back and indicated that I was never compensated for the watch, I intended for the watch only to be donated, and am appalled that Clothes Mentor is attempting to SELL and PROFIT from the items for which I gave them authority ONLY to DONATE. The employee insisted that this is the only item that was disorganized and ended up confused but I find it hard to believe - especially since, as I was leaving the day I sold and donated my clothes, the individual who sorted my clothes was telling me how great some of the items were that needed more care and was disappointed I was only going to donate them. To avoid the disorganization of the to-donate and to-sell clothes that this location seems to fall prey to, make the extra trip and donate your items yourself. Smells fishy to me. Five stars to Suzanne who works there and called me to apologize and cut me a check for the watch - great customer service. Unfortunately, its hard for me to believe only one watch out of 3 designer watches and several bags to donate was confused and put out to be sold.

They helped me find a cocktail dress for a wedding along with shoes, a purse, and accessories. Everything was priced low. I think the Ralph Lauren dress was $13 and the Nine West heels were $12. The staff was friendly and put an outfit together that I wouldnt have been able to envision myself. The owner even made my children her little personal shopping assistants, so everyone was happy. Thank you, Clothes Mentor!

Sellers beware! Youre told that you get 30% of 70%; however, when you go to pickup, they dont give you a breakdown. I was offered $3 per item (approx. 25+ items) on never worn fashionable clothing. Ill stick with the traditional consignment stores for selling.

As a girl with zero fashion sense my professional wardrobe is embarrassing. Suzanne helped me pick out pieces that were flattering and stylish while keeping my personal tastes in mind. I came home with several pieces that I feel I can mix and match confidently. Absolutely will be coming here again!

This place is awesome. Lots of affordable clothes of brands I shop all the time. Its my new addiction. Plus they always have great customer service.

Nice store, nice clothes but not a good deal for sellers. It appears that most clothes there are sold for at least $20. I was offered approx. $2 per item for 17 items (very nice items) or $34. Management needs to reassess its policies for a sustained business in the community.

This place is a hidden gem. I went there in a panic needing a cocktail dress for an event, and the staff was so wonderful. Suzanne put together several looks for me and I left so happy ... and with an armload of great clothes! Cant wait to go back.

I came into the store this morning to ask about consigning clothes I had a number of items in my car that were in dry cleaning bags. I spoke to Kris and she told me about their policy and that they ask customers to bring in their clothes, folded in a sturdy container and that I would get my container back. She was smiley and handled me professionally. It is a shame that when I went to leave a review I saw some not so nice ones. The rules seems simple. Both of the woman there greeted me and wished me a happy Earth Day. How wonderful to have a great second hand boutique so close to home.

My first time at this store and I will not be back. The ladies that were assisting me purchaeband sell items were pleasant. I brought in a bag full of nice items. When I returned the following day due to the text saying that my order has been processed, I was not expecting to take all clothes back except for two items. I asked why didn’t they want the other items and the young lady said it was due to some peel items were peeled off. I never knew a suede, cotton, etc peeked off especially if they were not worn only but twice. I believe that the people should throughly look at the clothes because they just missed some great clothing.

I almost hate to give it good reviews because others will discover what a great place it is. The staff is helpful and friendly, the store is super-organized, and there are amazing deals. I rarely leave empty-handed.

This store was very disappointed me.... I dropped off my items.. and then I was sick and went to the hospital and I couldn’t pick up my stuffs .. I told them I had a health problem so I couldn’t pick up my stuffs ... they don’t even care... I feel like they just robbed.me.. and take advantage of me.......if I was on the hospital.. how come I can pickUp my stuffs

Sellers, I wouldn’t waste your time. The woman with the blonde hair was incredibly rude saying I needed to place my clothes a specific way in a bag... if it needs to be placed and folded a certain way I would suggest putting that in your description on your website. She barely even glanced at my clothes even though over half were never worn with tags on, great plus size pieces that I’m sure they needed a selection of. It’s too bad a place like this doesn’t want to cater to a plus size customer. Don’t waste your time. Just shop and sell at other consignment stores. This place is a joke.

The store is small, yet filled with bargains. High quality new / gently used clothes. Neatly organized. The staff greet wash visitor and provide dedicated assistance.

Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Store is nicely organized and have so far always found something fabulous to add to my wardrobe. And at these prices I dont feel guilty.

Visited this store to sell clothes. The lady at the register was rude and acted as if she did not want to even look at the clothes I had. Afterwards she suggested that I look around and buy. I immediately left. I will not visit this store ever again.

Stopped by with my mom for the first time yesterday and we both fell in love!! Not only is the selection wonderfully curated, but the staff was beyond helpful and kind. We both have a new favorite store!

Worst consignment store ever. Wont take Michael Kors tee shirts, says they dont sell. Say what? Took in one Coach crossbody, one Coach wallet, one Coach wristlet and a pair of NWT pants from New York & Co..PAY OUT $18.00. Get outta here and give me stuff back. Unless your extremely desperate for money..dont waste your time.

I love shopping here. They have a nice selection of dresses and shoes, and if you find something that works, it usally a great value. I would never sell to them though. Not only do they pay nothing, they are rude about it. The last time i was there, a woman came in to sell her clothes. The woman working at the counter (blond hair) started off by saying, We dont accept anything on hangers. After the customer removed all the hangers, the employee went on to say, We only take trendy thngs that you have bought in the past year or two. We only take name brands that are trendy. We basically only take something you just bought thats in style. We take classes on what to buy, it has to be basically brand new. She never even looked through her things, but the poor customer was so discouraged that she just left. And the specific brands she said they didnt take, were brands I saw in the store. Just flat out rude. I know the owner wouldnt be proud of treating customers this way.

I had several brand new designer suits that I couldnt fit and time has passed so I couldnt return them. So when I saw Columbia Mentor on the WBAL news, saying that they purchase designer suites New or Woren, I thought this was a good place to sale my brand new designer suits to. I arrived there after over an hour of driving and was told I had to leave everything there for them to look at over night (Had no idea that this is how it works, because their website doesnt explain this process) and the next day I can come back for their decision on what they want to purchase / how much they want to pay for their items. I have to say the price of the suits were around $200 each suit (jacket and pants)and I gave them several suits, I walked away with $60 for everything. I wasnt expecting to get the original price for each suit but, I thought irt would have been more than $60 for several brand new designer suits. Seems very unfair and not worth the gas spent to drive there twice. So take it as experience that I had and hopefully someone else wont have tho go thru. I will NEVER do business with them again and I dont recommend selling to them.

Perfect place to get rid of unwanted, slightly used clothing-for a price. Also great place to shop at at discounted prices.

Based on these reviews I will not support this store as a buyer or seller.
