I love this store, but they frequently close before closing time. Yesterday, I tried shopping here around 5 p.m. and the store was shut down with a sign “Temporarily Closed”??? I’ve tried calling today and got no answer. I can always go across town to another DG, but this store is just 3 blocks from my house. What is the reason for these shut downs and early closings?

Good service and a clean store that enforces a mask policy. Only reason it did not get 5 is because it was understaffed considering how many customers where inside. The staff that was there, did a great job.

Im unsure whats going on at this location but the store has been closed for over a week. I really like this store so I hope their issue gets resolved.

Cashier handled a very long line in quick fashion. She also told a man he couldnt bring his bag in the store and that he could leave it up front. He refused but she held her ground, never raised her tone and handled the situation like a true customer service queen

I did two separate card swipes for one payment but their card reader or clerk charged both cards. I’ve came to the store over 4-5 times and there is a card reader issue EVERY time. Attempted to call and the number does not work. Please don’t waste your time or money.

Dollar General has Enormous amount of supplies and products there. A lot more than the smaller size Dollar Generals. The employees are friendly and the store is well organized.

This is one of the best Dollar general and the sweetest people work there.But the one on two notch road you need to fire the lady manager

Bad business, the item that I purchased had one price & they charge me another. And the manager took the sale price of the door down.And would not charge me the sale price.

Sadly all dollar generals. Have fallen to their OWN waste side. Looks like they always waiting on truck. Delivery. Stickers. Sweepers. Just any1. That would know a price or at Least have a smile

Me and my friend went to Dollar General last night and I purchased some dip for our tortilla chips and after we ate some of the sauce I realized it was like peanut butter which was unusual to me since I know sauce moves but this sauce was dried and I looked at the expiration date and it says Aug 14 19. Plus Dollar General needs help because so much need to be stocked throughout the store because carts of items are only in customers way but the cashier said that it is the store policy to have a now hiring post up but they are not hiring.

The staff were apparently riddled by thieves for so long, that theyve kinda hardened their heart as to what true customer service means & is all about. The young ladys that checked me out were prompt but very dry and kinda burnt out.

Super cool employees, and the store is always clean.

Convenient to work, so its easy to run out and grab what I need. Also a much larger variety of groceries at this location than at the one I shop at near home. Having two exits out of the parking lot onto Taylor and Barnwell where theres a traffic light also helps!

This store has a lot of inventory, is well organized and clean. Didnt feel particularly safe in this store, however. Multiple signs warning against robbery (less than $50 kept in the register at all times) and advertising their security system left me feeling on guard. Good products and good prices, though. Would go back to this store despite the bad neighborhood.

I liked the broad selection of items to choose from but, there needs to be more organization, more help. One working cannot do it all alone! The pricing needs to be corrected on a few items. I very well could have requested to get the 6pk of the 8fl oz mountain dews that were marked 2 for $1 but had to be rung up individually and removed from its little plastic casing but I did not and just got one case instead of two. I LOVE Dollar general its a very convenient place but the attitude of the cashier must be happier.

The store is very disorganized. Items are incorrectly placed and the stores inventory is always low or out of certain items.

In from out of town. I thought we had nice Dollar Generals, but this location has an amazing selection!! Great prices, great location, friendly and helpful staff!!!

Not a bad little store. The staff is always very nice. But its a hang out for the homeless. The staff do their best to keep those who harass the customers away, but the problem persists. Theres no big danger there, just be prepared to be approached by vagrants asking you for money or to buy them something. The store itself is well-stocked. I even managed to get a case of water there the day before a hurricane a few years back. They have all the basics. Best to come shopping with a friend if you can.

Stupid policy on alcohol purchases. If I dont look over 21 no one does. Im 50 years old and forgot my I.D. and wasnt allowed to purchase it. Just dumb! They have even turned down a man clearly in his 70s! This needs to change.

Typical Dollar Store with items that can be quickly gotten in a pinch. Near University of SC campus on Rosewood Drive. Good parking exclusively for this store.

Store was remodeled and it excellent. The prices are reasonable for the area considering the closest Wal-Mart is in Lancaster. I am thankful that the store added an expanded grocery section. This saves lots of money since the only grocery store in town is way overly priced. I can get two cans of beans here for a dollar. The grocery store wants 99 cents for one can. I also get my dog food here too and any hair products. I could probably save at least 10 dollars compared to the grocery store in town.

Bargains Galore!This is a discount store where you can find groceries, pet supplies, clothes, linens, cleaning supplies, books and dvds at really neat prices all year long. No produce or fresh food, but if its boxed, bagged, or canned its probably here.

I had the worst experience of racial profiling in my whole life @ this location by an associate names HEATH. I was treated like a thief when I was only shopping. When I spoke to the district manager, He said this would be used as a teaching Tool...

This place is a death trap!!! Theres boxes all over the place, you cant walk down an lane due to stuff blocking the walk way. Its like a maze that you cant get out of!!! Someone needs to do something about this store before someone is hurt or have an anxiety attack from getting blocked and lossing their way!!!

Customer service was extremely rude. Had to go back to get an item that was not placed in my bag that I paid for. I was not upset about it until the AGM that checked me out accused me of lying & not paying for the item. After trying to show her my receipt which she didnt even take the time to look. She proceeded to still be rude to me asking another employee if they saw this said item on the counter. This employee wasnt even in the cashier at the time of my check out. After, I was STILL being polite, she shooed me off after she realized she was wrong & I still did not get any apology for the inconvenience. That was really uncalled for. As a manager to another, there was no need to be rude over a item that cost a dollar.

Went in looking for resume paper to no avail! They had cool board games and coloring books though and the woman was really nice and helpful!

Store was clean and employees busy. Given the location, there were a few less than desirable shoppers, but the cashier was excellent at handling the situation.

Smh, the manager needs some customer service training. She has a very nasty demeanor. Her attitude is just unbecoming. She doesnt make customers feel welcome. She stares at you like she is a serial killer. (how Jason would act towards his next victim) On one of my transactions she made a mistake. Charging me $11.00 + change for some free febreze warmers, after my coupon. And I asked her nicely to rering it, because somethings not right. She got an attitude and said that was the last time she was going to try it. The woman, did not say a word when she was done, I didnt know if one as done or not. Most cashiers say have a nice day or something, she said nothing. Dollar General needs to really evaluate the type of people they hire. I am a secret shopper and this type behavior is not acceptable. If I would have been doing a review she would have failed.
