If I could rate 10 stars, I would!When I signed up my high-school aged daughter for Open Water Diver certification, I chose Columbia Scuba because it is a PADI certification center. Ive found PADI certification is much more recognizable in my diving experiences compared to the certification I have. What I didnt know upfront, though, was the amazing training experience she would have there!EVERYONE at Columbia Scuba is friendly, positive, knowledgeable, and supportive (my daughters words!). While everyone is different, the instructors adapted as appropriate to give each student the best individualized training possible. Training is generally in small groups, but youll feel like the instructors are working just with you. If you do whats required, not only will you get certified, youll go diving in the future confident in your skills!Theyre truly invested in your success getting trained and in making your future diving experiences all they can be!

I had happily waited to learn from these instructors a week before training I was injured and needed a refund. The shop was reluctant to refund and finally relented to give half of what I had paid. They cited that over 150 dollars was to certifications and fees for ebook and registering. I call it thievery, do not train or purchase from these people.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great equipment. Lots of lessons and courses to choose from. Padi certified instructors. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else for equipment and course certification.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at Columbia Scuba! Theyre always my go-to small business for dive related purchases. Lawrence always makes sure that we are taken care of, whether its a simple visit for tank fills or purchasing new gear to take diving. Columbia Scuba staff ensures that students are properly trained to be safe, considerate, and capable divers which makes our diving much more enjoyable. Thankful for the great customer service we always receive and for the family atmosphere that Lawrence and Mike have created! We love you guys!

I have been diving for 20 years and currently working on my Instructors Certification with Columbia Scuba.This is by far the best training I have ever received. Dr. Southall, Lawrence, Charlie, Colleen are amazing instructors. Other members of the team that Im working with (Lari, Michelle, and Jason) are also fantastic. Everyone is so professional and the level of patience is above the highest of expectations. Everyone should be so lucky to train with such a great group of individuals. My 11 year old son and I had an absolutely awesome experience with Columbia Scuba. The classes and dives were very well organized. I always felt safe and the instructors were attentive and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend this facility. We can’t wait to start our new adventures!!!

Where do I begin and where do I end???? This place is absolutely amazing. Lawrence, Alex, Michelle and Colleen are all amazing people that genuinely take pride in what they love. I started here off a reference from a family member of mine, and man was I blown away. From the first time I set foot in here to yesterday when I purchased my first regulator set, I have been treated with nothing but respect and kindness, Columbia scuba is very knowledgeable with all things they do and go out of their way to make sure that you get the learning you need at whatever cost to their personal lives. If ever you think about getting certified, purchasing/renting gear, or just looking for a dive shop to call home, make sure Columbia scuba is on the top of your list. You will not be disappointed. And to Lawrence, Michelle, and everyone else at the shop, thank you for making me a part of the family.

Reliable, effective, knowledgeable, and patient. Thats how I would describe Columbia Scuba. From first walking into the Door and scheduling my open water certification to actually getting certified. The Staff was there every step of the way to answer any questions I had, and were exceedingly accommodating to schedules. Shoutout to Machelle, Alex, and Lawrence for being everything mentioned above and more. I am extremely excited to continue to dive will you. Cheers to many adventures to come!

Visited Columbia Scuba this afternoon to pick up several pieces of gear. I could have ordered online but wanted to help our local businesses as I own a small business too so I took 30 minutes of my day off to drive to their shop.Prices were 5-10% higher but no big deal. Sadly, I spent 10 minutes in their shop while 3 employees and another customer(already done with his purchase) talked amongst themselves. Not a one of them spoke to me inside the store. I looked for one item myself, expecting someone to eventually assist but that didnt happen. So, I stood at the counter for several minutes, even making eye contact with one person as he stood in the office talking to another employee. After several minutes and no apparent interest in my business or even speaking, I left.I purchased all of my gear from them 4 years ago but dont think Ill be going back. Guess COVID hasnt hurt their business like it has mine. Hope this review helps them make a positive change in customer service.

Today 08/16/2020 i had my refresher course. My girlfriend did the discover scuba. DSD. The smile on her face afterwards said it all. I was very happy woth their service. Cant wait for my next dives. Thank You for everything. I think my lady caught the dive bug. Highly recommended to anyone looking to get into diving.

Very knowledgeable staff who were very friendly Darby and Alex helped me get re-acquainted with certain aspects of dive safety and really knew their stuff. I can hardly wait to get back into diving! Glad I stumbled into this shop. Highly recommend these folks for any of your dive equipment service needs.

Columbia Scuba is by far the best dive shop around. The owner, Lucy, takes diving seriously and you will walk away with not only a certification, but a solid set of skills that will make you a great scuba diver. They have a wide variety of top-quality products and treat every customer as close friends (which you will quickly become when you join the Columbia Scuba family). I cannot say enough great things about this dive shop! Truly one of a kind! Keep up the good work!!

Absolutely a top-notch group! Very nice and helpful staff that all dive and are passionate about diving. I did the one-day Discover Scuba course and had a blast and then went on to get my open water certification. Absolutely 100% happy with them! Great selection of gear, and they back it - I had a small issue with a mask, and they happily swapped it for another one with no problems.

This is my wifes only choice when it comes to diving. Staff are helpful and nice. They offer plenty of training and education for diving, including trips to good diving destinations in the region and beyond.

We expected a corteous and professional class, we got that and so much more. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and have a good time learning how to dive safely. My wife is very apprehensive about being under water. Lucy and the staff have been working with her at her pace. I cant tell you how much I appreciate that. I dont know if you can find better prices anywhere else, Im not even tempted to look because of the staff here. Im looking forward to future trips and taking more classes with these folks.
