Always helpful & knowledgeable. Bought a Lynxx from Harbor Freight ( weed wacker) 2 years ago. Went to buy new batteries & charger and they no longer available. Went to Ace and bought an E GO. Powerful. Never heard of them, hopefully they wont be gone in 2 years

Helpful, courteous and very knowledgeable. In other words, great customer service! I bought my Ego battery powered lawn mower here and received a much better price. I also got the charger and a battery with the mower.You dont get that at Lowes.

I had the unfortunate experience of needing string for weedeater. Do not call Columbia store for anything. These people can not use a telephone. Very unprofessional. I called 4 times and still dont know if they have string. Hung up on. Transferred to wrong people. This is a 20 mile trip for me. So i will go to Lowes.

Took forever to get someone to attend to our need for having a few keys made, and then they didnt have but two of the 4 we needed.While the fella who was helping another customer was talkative and dedicated to his customer, our guy was quite the opposite. More aloof and distracted, and seemed to be in a major hurry.The store is like any other Ace Hardware, and we will likely return for some essentials while we are in the area.Clean, organized and plenty of stock (except keys).

Always had a good experience. Doesnt matter if i spend $1 or $1000, Ive gotten the same amount of help. If i can get it there Ill definitely avoid Lowes or Walmart.

Called ahead to make sure it was in stock. They had it ready when I arrived, paid for it,they loaded it . I secured it and drove away Happy. Awesome people.

I would give 0 stars if it were an option. Sales people at service counter were rude and would not talk to us, pushed us off on another sales person. Did not have in stock the item that we wanted and when asked if they could order one, he said he would have to order 2 and he didnt want to do that. We told him we would just get it somewhere else and he seemed relieved. Went to another dealer and they had what we were looking for. Will never shop here again.

I have a soft spot for small hardware stores. We were just passing through and I needed a couple things, including a rather unique key. They had everything except the key, and the manager pointed me to a locksmith a few blocks away that was able to take care of me. Great service!

I love shopping at Ace Hardware in Columbia, TN, they always have just what I need, whether Im working on my mower or just needing the right tool. Today I bought some bolts and screws for a project Ive been working on. The man that helped me was most helpful, he took me right where I needed to go. Its nice to know that I dont have to waste any of my time here, the staff always knows right where to go for all of our needs. So what are you waiting for, its time to get those projects started.

I have always been a huge fan of this Ace Hardware store, it was the store my Grandpa always went to even when I was a small child. Its the store he would send me to in my teens as Id gotten older and he had too, so I would run his errands for him. And lastly, Im in my forties now and Grandpa passed away a few years ago and I now find myself going in Ace hardware for my own needs! All around great store with a wonderful staff! I will always recommend Ace to anyone needing a great hardware store!

Stopped by the look for specific items. The aisles are narrow but everytjing you might be is there.

Drove to Ace to pick up a chainsaw blade only to find out that they now close the parts/service desk at 1:00 on Saturdays. Does not make sense that a retailer would do that since many customers get to use their tools on the weekend and need parts.

Good selection of home center products and outstanding small engine repair shop. Also dealer for Stihl and a variety of other good mowers, chain saws, small engines & string trimmers.

If you cant find it anywhere, always go to ACE.

Went to get air filters and the entire shelf area for the filters was just about empty.

Nice people that know there stuff. They are always polite and there prices are not bad.

Here is why I dont go there anymore.I went to get a key made. They didnt have a blank to cut. The manager apologized for my inconvenience that they didnt have a blank, stating that he would be glad to make me a key if he had a blank. I went to another store and found a blank but the new computer key cutting machine there could not cut the proper profile. The other store GAVE me 4 blanks and I took them back to my friendly neighborhood Ace store. Asked the manager to make the cuts on the manual key machine and was rudely turned away. The excuse was if we dont have the blank we cannot cut the key. I was standing there with 4 blanks in my hand, offering to PAY TO HAVE THEM CUT. Manager repeated that he didnt have a blank. That if it was cut wrong it could not be replacd. I said that I would like him to try with NO LIABILITY FOR ANY REASON if it failed. He repeated if we dont have the blank we cannot cut the key. Just store policy. Walked out thinking about what just happened. turned around and went back in asking for a store number. Manager said store#1000. How convenient. Went to Davids lock and key where I explain the situation. Not only did they cut the key blanks that I had, but did it at no charge. I felt it was cruel treatment by the management at my local Ace Hardware. They sure were not the place with the helpful hardware folk for me. I have not darkened the door of that store since that day, and never will again without a full and complete apology. Enter the store at your own risk.

Needed a house key. Ive had problems getting a key cut correctly for my door. They cut a new key that works far better and smoothly than the original! Great service!

We bought a Still tiller on 3/23/19. Used it on 4/9/19. I lost 2 tines as i was tilling. I found 1 of them. I called the next day & was told Still would not replace it. After a few phone call the guy in service department said they would order me a new one. No one called me back. On 4/26/19 I called back & was told it was on back order. I was not happy so he transferred me to the manager. The manager was hateful from the start. He said they had tried to make me happy. I said to make me happy they would take a tine from tiller in store for me. His response was i have someone coming in tomorrow that might buy so Ill let you know Monday. WOW!!! Yes i was really mad now. He finally said i could come get it. Got it next day.

Always good customer service. You can come across some good deals now and again. Mostly competitive pricing though.

My husband went and put in an application from an ad he saw in the paper. I called prior to him going down to fill out the application to find out exactly what it paid per hour. After he took time to go fill out the application. And he has more than 35 years experience. He was told that the position that theyre hiring for is temporary and part-time due to the fact that they already have five people on staff and theyre five weeks out Im getting the work done for customers. The ad said this was a managers position. How can you hire a part-time temporary manager to help get your employees motivated to get the work done quicker

Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man. Ive always found someone readily available to help me when I need it. Unlike Lowes or Home Depot where you can stand around what seems like forever just to get a quick answer or find something, Ace Hardware is well.laid out and most items are competively priced. I prefer to shop there or TSC. Most of the sales people seem to know what they are doing when it comes to suggestions on DIY projects.

Awful. I drove down here 30 minutes. Waited for the store to open, and was told by cashier that gentleman who makes keys wont arrive until 30 mins after store opens.I say fine, no problem Ill wait.I come back in, they tell me yeah he isnt coming today he had a doctors appointment. No one is going to make my key and I wanted my whole morning. Thanks Ace Hardware. Forget the helpful place.

Smaller store but I found what I was looking for and the gentleman who was working the register helped me find what I needed. Friendly people, small hometown feel.

Lack of communication took mower deck to get fixed was told 2week wait time ok no problem.Got a call next day they had to order parts. No big deal. Was told they would call me next day with price. Never received that call. Waited 1 week for mower deck went to check on it and there answer was oh its only a 24 hr turn around its been done for 3 days I never got a call saying it was done. I asked why I didnt get a call the answer was we dont call I replied well how the hell am I supposed to know it was done???. He didnt answer that ... so as long as you dont want or need to know when your stuff is fixed. Take it there I will never go back there

I have used ace for years to get parts and to fix lawn mowers and weed eaters but they have sucked so bad this time needed a carburetor for my mower. Their customer service is the worst nobody answers the phone in service department. They say that the phone rings off the hook all day long except when I was there twice for 15 to 20 minutes and it didnt ring once.got my carburetor and it was broken. Store manager said nothing we can do but order broken piece and gonna take 4 more days. DO NOT USE ACE HARDWARE. I WILL GO ELSEWHERE WITH MY BUSINESS AND ALL FRIENDS AND FAMILY TOO

Had a Craftsman 30 tape measure that broke. They were so helpful. Manager went out his way to call Craftsman and get the warranty taken care of. I highly recommend them

Perfect for grabbing tools and material in a hurry. I personally cant stand walking 10 miles through Lowes, HD, or Wally World just to get paint or weed trimmer line. Even though Ace is a little more expensive than the fore mentioned, I still just cant talk myself into going. The small engine shop contingent isnt exactly world class, but they do have a lot of parts in-store that you would have to order otherwise.

I purchased a Stihl FS45 weed eater and it needs a new carb, fuel line, filter & spark plug after 2 years use. Amazon and EBay sell the complete kit with all of these parts @ $20.00.The estimate to replace these parts was $107.50 plus tax at Ace Hardware.. Guess what? I’m going to Lowes..... and buying another weed eater. The gazzinta’s are way way off. Not competitive prices.Update: I went to Lowes and purchased a brand new weed eater for $106 with a 5 yr in house warranty.

Everytime we have gotten paint there, the main guy in the paint area, with a birthmark on his cheek, IS SO RUDE!! He might as well hang it up and go home, as he never wants to be helpful. Seems like he doesnt want to be there and your putting him out, when its his job. He is the only BAD APPLE THERE. Rest of the people are so sweet and helpful. They might need to retire him. Happens everytime though. We dont come for paint much and we dont know him personally. My husband said he has bad service from him also. Just real smart A with you. Sorry ACE we like you!

Dont be in a hurry for parts, not fast service at all. But about the only place to get parts for mowers around Columbia. So you just about have to wait. They want you to have model #, etc. So make sure you bring that with you. Fairly friendly. And they do try to get what you need. Just make sure you have patience.
