Customer service is so awesome there now. I always get the cinnamon roll. They are a Lil pricey now but you pay for what you like. The lady at the pick up window is so sweet & kind. I dont know her name but she is too sweet.

I was so excited to hear that they were reopening. Yesterday made my 5th time getting half a dozen since they have open,Hoping the different taste was because I’m not going at the right time. They taste and look so different then before they closed and the freshness doesn’t last long at all. I used to be able to warm them up next day and they taste like I just bought them but now the icing just peels off like glue and it tastes fake and dry. Please bring the old taste/look back.

Oh my god… I never bought any myself, but my husband came home from his work and saved me a donut that they didn’t eat. Mind you, this donut was a day and a half old, wasn’t warmed up or anything, yet my mouth WATERED eating it. It was a glazed with chocolate icing and sprinkles. One of the best donuts I’ve ever had. And it was a day and a half old!!!!! Amazing.

Since the New people have taken over, it has went to POT!!!!!!! I went there the other day. The Hot Donut sign was on. I got my donuts & reached in for one, those Donuts were STONE COLD!!!!!! I could not believe it..... This is NOT the first time, and the Staff could care less if you stop in or not....WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED!!!!!!! Don’t worry I won’t be waiting in your line for Hot donuts any more!!!!!!!!!

I had ordered Plain donuts and they gave me Glazed. My husband is Diabetic and enjoys a plain donut once in awhile. So he wouldnt eat any. Other than this great donuts. I enjoyed them!

It used to be good, but after they were bought by a different corporation I could taste the difference it isn’t good anymore. Tbh I wouldn’t recommend them..

Had to wait for fresh donuts but it was worth the wait. They were fresh and good. Recipe is a little different. Light like the old yeast donuts but a cake taste too. They were amazing.

Better than Krispy Kreme! I met the owner or manager there and hes super nice. I got a variety dozen and didnt eat half for two or three days... they were still as fresh as if theyd been made that morning. Super tasty and a great place to stop if passing through the Columbus area or if youre a local.

They just reopened back up yesterday morning (Aug 2).I visited at 8am (2hours after grand opening) it was crowded and there was a line, as expected with grand openings but it went rather quickly. Drive thru line was longer than the inside as I only had about four ahead of me and the drive thru line was out to the stop light. Staff was all very friendly and they updated their pin pads, no more waiting for it to go through for like a minute with that old one, so that was neat. Donuts were hot and soft as always! Yeah, I did eat one in the parking lot... In front of the hungry drive thru line lol. Yall dont ever close again!

Hot and freshI only go to Golden Donuts for the hot and fresh donuts. And I particularly dont care for much icing, so I ask for a little icing and theyve never given me a problem about it. The service is always great and even during Covid they would come out to your car to take your order. Weve been going there for years enjoying these donuts and always give you a little extra.I recently had a craving for these donuts but when I got there the business was closed with some people working in the building and my first thought was I hope theyre not closing, but to my surprise they were remodeling. I will be glad when you reopen.

Although the hot donuts sign was flashing, I received a prepacked dozen of donuts. Unacceptable. I got in the line again and was given another box of donuts.We enjoy hot, fresh donuts...if it work don to fix it.Go back to serving fresh and hot donuts.

Got a dozen to try them out. I like old fashion plain donuts which they dont have. Everything is dunked in sugar coating. Good but not my thing.

After two years of living in probably the worse city in Georgia I finally decided to give this place a try, after seeing the long lines and the amazingly ridiculous reviews it has gotten, Under whelmed is what I can describe these donuts as. They are just donuts 🤷🏽‍♂️ not worth the wait not worth the hype, if you want donuts just get them from Walmart.

Was happy when l heard Golden Donuts, was coming back... At first l thought it was me, but the donut taste heavy and when it got cold the glaze peeled off them like glue. When elmer glue dry on your hand and you peel it off as a kid. So it must was my taste buds since l havent had one in a while. So my daughter bought me my favorite, a glaze twist, it was smaller and it had the same thick glaze like the donut.They must have different baker??Please bring back the old bakers or the old recipe. Please!!!

I came here for some hot fresh glazed donuts and even asked if I could have some straight off the line and they said that they have to sell the ones that came out first before they can sell the fresh and hot ones, so I got a very cold donut that Tasted like it was days old. WILL NEVER GO BACK! I will be going to Veri Best Donuts from now on! Highly don’t recommend Golden

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came in with my husband to try some doughnuts. The first thing I noticed was the flies in the case. They have little flies that are in the case with the doughnuts. This is not okay. They offered to grab the doughnuts from the back which I declined. If you have flies in the case with your doughnuts there’s no telling what’s happening in the back. Eat at your own risk!!

This is my 3 trip, since they have been back open. 1st time it was ok, didnt taste the same.Gave it a 2nd try, they were cold to the frost, so i guess they were in the refrigerator. I warmed them up, was better than 1st time.3rd time i guess the charm, it was much better, but not hot. So I probably will only get them when the hot sign is on. Still taste better than Veri Best.

I remember the pre-Covid Golden Donut and it was one of the best donut places I have ever had. I was so excited when they re-opened! I was soon greatly disappointed though. The donuts did not taste the same. It was edible but it no longer surpassed Dunkin’ Donuts-which I don’t really care for, and Krispy Kreme.I asked if at some point could Golden Doughnuts add maple glazing to their donuts. I had such high hopes! I went all of the way out there to find out the only way I can get a maple donut is to have it mixed with bacon. I can not have bacon due to dietary needs. I can’t tell if it is because a person doesn’t want to have extra work of mixing bacon and glaze separately or if Golden Donut does not think there are customers out here that don’t want bacon. I guess it is back to Dunkin’ Donut because at least I get what I want.

These are not the Golden Donuts Im used to. The donuts taste as if they were store bought. Im so disappointed. I went around 9:45am and the donuts didnt taste fresh. Its a big NO for me

Best doughnuts in the surrounding area. Always been number one in my book but I must say I don’t know if y’all changed the ingredient or what but the doughnuts don’t stay fresh that long anymore. I use to be able to buy these doughnuts and they were good for three days now they gotta get ate or throw them away. Still love em just bring back the old ways.

The employees are awesome and the donuts are the best. I ask for an off menu donut and they made it no problem. Im giving 4 stars only because the parking lot can be congested at times but the employees try their best to keep the traffic flowing.

The donuts are much smaller then they used to be and they have a different taste. I also went to get some donuts tonight at 8:30pm and they were already closed. Not supposed to close to 9pm.

I went thru the drive thru today around 730 pm thinking the glazed donuts 🍩 would be fresh not Hot, boy was I wrong. They were dry and the glaze was like Elmers Glue after it dries on your hand. Maybe it was the time. I remember the donuts 🍩 used to stay fresh at least for a day. Sorry Golden Donuts 🍩 I had to say this in hopes that you guys get better. We don’t sit in that long lone for substandard Donuts.

Golden Donuts in ColumbusGeorgia, on Manchester Exwy,is open again after being closedfor the past year, due to Covid,it is fully open, I visited them onAugust 23, 21, and the donutswere just irresistible and great,just as I remembered them to be. I ate 3, even though I knewthey was fatening and not realgood for you. JERRY

Really good curb side service for the drive thru. The doughnuts were freshly made and service was helpful and friendly.

They just reopened a week or so ago, so the line was pretty long but they handled it well so the wait felt no longer than it should given the number of cars. The donuts weren’t super hot off the line, but I prefer them that way anyway.

Donuts was not what I expect it to be, they hyped up these donuts wasn’t good at all I rather Krispy Kreme donuts !

Hopefully the work the kinks out. They were out of coconut donuts, so we ordered blueberry and regular glaze. The “HOT DONUT” sign was on and flashing…used to always be a sign of happiness soon to follow. Mixed dozen cost $13…seems higher priced than it used to be. Got to 2nd window to pickup donuts aaaand, no blueberry donuts, aaaand all the donuts were cold. I mean, they’re better than Krispy Kreme still, but just not what they used to be. Hopefully they work the kinks out. And 8:00pm on a Saturday seems early to close. Still best donuts in town, but old Golden Donut set a very high bar to reach.

Went in to Golden Doughnuts today but was horrible service. Nobody greeted us oe acknowledged us so wasnt sure where we had to order at. They didnt have items on their menu that I asked for and no smiles what so ever. Very disorganized. Not sure if well be back.

I have always loved these Donuts but feel they are now too expensive. Bought a glazed twist and one plain cake donut and paid just over $5. Seems too high for Just Two Donuts.

Cant go wrong with some fresh, hot, Golden Donuts! These are the best donuts around. Wait til they are hot, and go buy a couple dozen. They simply melt in your mouth.

Hours are posted online as 6am-9pm 7 days a week however last Sunday and tonight at 8:35 they were already closed prior to closing time of 9pm so needless to say I ended up at Krispy Kreme both times. Disappointing when a business just closes early or doesnt up at all and does not update changes.

So glad Golden Donuts are back. Fresh and affordable

The donuts tasted like they were cooked in old grease and my mocha coffee didnt taste like coffee at all. The girl at the window was super sweet. Will not go back except to get a refund.

Fresh and tasty traditional donuts.The drive-thru can be a bit tricky because when the line gets long it went out into the street. The employees do a good job managing the line. Friendly service and reasonably priced.

The hot donut sign was on and our chocolate cake donuts seemed like they came out of the refrigerator. They dont have maple flavored donuts and the donuts were quite small for the price. Maybe the glaze are better but highly dissatisfied with our order and the customer service.

So glad theyre back open. This has been my favorite donut shop since the early 90s.

Fast, easy and tasty

My grown children talk about this place like it is a beautiful childhood dream! Yet we have only lived here a few years, and I had never been there until about a month ago. The service was excellent and there was no wait. It appeared to be clean and everything looked fresh and tidy. Even though there are new, closer places to get donuts, my children still rave about Golden Donuts!

They always have hot, fresh doughnuts and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I always come here for my doughnut appointment 🍩.

This review is not about the donuts but about the image of the business. We pulled up and one of the employees (a heavy set, brunette woman) was sitting right out front smoking a cigarette. While I dont like cigarette smoke, judging a smoker isnt my intention (I smoked years ago). However, I think that its pretty unprofessional to have an employee that handles food to sit right at the entrance, smoking while still wearing the hairnet that shell be wearing while handling the food.
