Its a blessing to have a store like this in town. Good atmosphere and right now they limit to 28 people in the store which you can shop in a comfortable atmosphere. Also, they have a take-out sushi bar which is from the store next door (sushi ten) and they taste superb + good price too. I really want to move to Columbus.

Lots of fresh vegetables, meat and seafood, a variety of frozen food, all the sauce and ingredients youll ever need to make Japanese food. They also have some Japanese kitchen tools and small kitchen appliances like rice cooker etc. Enormous amount of sushi and sashimi take out and premade bento food boxes, great price and quality (usually sold out by end of day so go early for more choices). Belles Japanese Bakery items also available here. There is a sushi place (Sushi Ten) and ramen restaurant (Tensuke Express) right next door, both great!

Besides fresh grocery, they sell tasty carry-out bento boxes for sushi, chirashi, rolls, donburi and Korean kimchi fried rice at reasonable price, and prepare party trays full of sushi and rolls. This market is just like getting on a plane and transporting yourself half the world away! This is authentic as it gets, without the language or currency exchange issues. If you want sushi, otopus and squid this is it. You can also find Japanese food and liquors that you normally only find in country. I have been to Japan twice and find this place a lovely reminder of these travels. If you need a can of coffee, this is the only place to go.

My wife and I love this market. I lived in Japan twice in my life, for a total of 8 years. While its not my home, I sometimes feel something akin to homesickness and wish I could return. My weekly trip to Tensuke Market, and Tensuke Express for lunch, eases that longing a little bit. Its always a pleasure shopping here. The staff is, as is appropriate for Japanese culture, very courteous. The quality and variety of the products offered is outstanding. For those who enjoy sake, they have a very good selection from which to choose.

Im so glad I found this complex. I never would have thought this existed in Ohio. Im used to Mitsuwa Marketplace in Chicago, which I dearly miss, but Tensuke has almost everything I want (even fresh vegetables and meats) for cooking Japanese meals. Its a very clean store as well, with good lighting and no unusual or offputting smells. They have a fantastic selection of sake as well, with a depth and variety that I havent seen anywhere else in this state. They also have delicious fresh bento boxes and sushi (though youll want to get there early for the best selection). And they put wasabi on their sushi! Most restaurants dont even do that anymore, but Tensuke provides an authentic sushi experience. Beyond the grocery store is a bakery, a gift shop, and three restaurants. The bakery has a lovely selection of Japanese confections, drinks, and baked goods. I suggest anything with Matcha, especially the soft serve. The gift store was much larger than I thought it would be and had a good variety of products including incense, anime paraphernalia, stationary, charms, books, Sanrio goods, and kitchen tools. Honestly, the only thing that could make me happier is if there were a Japanese bookstore like Kinokuniya in this complex.

If you are looking for incredible sushi at an amazing price, then make the drive to Tensuke Market! Not only is their sushi extremely high-grade, but its actually cheaper than the garbage rolls you would get at Giant Eagle, Kroger or Luckys. I just bought a Spicy Crunchy Salmon roll and a Spicy Tuna Roll today for less than $10. They had huge pieces of sushi-grade fish in them and were absolutely delicious.I havent had much dine-in sushi around Columbus, but I really cant imagine it being any better than here.

I have cooked, pretty much my entire life. In that time, Ive learned dishes from the world over; living on military bases kinda helped that along. I recently discovered a delight in Japanese dishes, and am ecstatic that this superb market is here, with traditional Japanese foods available. My most recent endeavor was Tonjiru soup, prepared with all the ingredients purchased at Tensuke. It was amazing! I look forward to many more cooking explorations, and spending much time perusing the shelves at this lovely market! Oh, and eating at the cafe, too!

Decent selection. Slightly overpriced. However, just know that once you pick up a hand basket, you officially become their employee; once you reach the checkout, if you dont unload your basket, theyll point to a sign that says you must unload your own basket before theyll ring you up. In the amount of time it took them to do that, they could have been--you know--helping you to unload the basket. Unless Im over on that side of town, Ill just go to the Korean store closer to me since they seem to understand that I have something they want (money) and in order to get that thing, theyll need to put themselves in a position to get it (i.e. check out my stuff). Its too bad that, for Tensukes employees (especially one particular bob-haired B), they dont seem to understand the basic economics of customer service.

A small almost strip mall/shopping center style Japanese market with an array of shops and restaurants: Bakery, souvineer shop, supermarket, ramen bar and sushi restaurants to name a few. Having lived in Japan the produce and items sold seem to be the authentic Japanese experience, the food flavour pallets are all what to expect from a typical restaurant in Japan and the supermarket is representative of what is available in Japan. If youre either a gaijin returnee to the west or Japanese looking for a bit of home, you can probably find it here.
