I would give this location a zero if I could. There was no one waiting today and i wanted a shingle vaccine. The website says walk in welcome but when you show up, they tell you that you need to make an appointment. Next, my prescription was no where to be found. I called my doctors office again and they said they have confirmation that it was successfully sent and received by CVS Commack. Last, I was picking up 4 scripts for my disabled mother. Status said all 4 were ready but when I arrived, only 1 was ready and they told me to come back in an hour. Its time to switch pharmacies!Update - I have now been on hold waiting to speak with someone in the pharmacy for 40 minutes. No one picks up the phone!
I concur with Erin, I was on hold for 45 mins to get a prescription status and could not get a pharmacist. Never had such an awful customer service experience. Take your business elsewhere.
Worst pharmacy ever!!Script was sent over on 10/21 from doctors office. I got call from CVS stating that my script was ready on 10/23. I went on 10/24 to pick up and they informed me that my meds were backordered and should arrive on 10/25. I have gone there numerous times and it still is not ready, and dont even think about calling there, they do not answer the phone. Taking my business elsewhere.
If you want to get your prescription here, good luck. If you want to ever get through on the phone, once again, good luck. Awful. I tell my doctor not to ever send rx here.
I shop @ CVS stores throughout Suffolk & Nassau Counties & this is the only one with MANY dirty shelves-especially in the chips/snacks aisle. Those shelves need to be scrubbed clean or replaced. I will NOT buy a food item that has been sitting on a dirty shelf. I know its open 24/7 but so is the store in West Islip-and THAT store is immaculate.****
I’ve really only had negative experiences at this CVS. My sister uses the pharmacy and they often tell her her prescriptions are ready and when she arrives they’re not there. The pharmacists judge her for no the medication she takes. It takes forever in there. I used the photo center the other day. I developed film photos that had to be sent away. They said I’d get a call when they were ready. When 3 weeks has passed, I called and they said they’d already had them for a few days. I got a call a week AFTER I picked them up that they were ready.I needed two photos printed. Ordered around 4pm. At 4:30 I got an email that they were ready. Showed up at 7:30 to pick them up, and the photos weren’t there. The staff told me to wait ten minutes while they rebooted the system. I waited around, and they told me there was another photo order ahead of me and then mine would be printed. That order had OVER 200 photos. I wasted almost 45 minutes waiting around in there. Terrible place.TL;DRYou’ll wait forever, go someplace else. Photo center is garbage.
They didn’t call my doctor for prescription as they promised. I’ve been sick for many weeks and needed my medication asap
Short staffed and it really shows….
I must tell you about my recent visit to the CVS in Commack, NY. I was first impressed at the cleanliness of the store. I have visited many CVS locations and this was definitely the cleanest. I was looking for a product in one of the isles and a young woman named Kathryn asked me if I needed help finding anything. She was putting items on the shelf with such care, making sure the were all facing the same way. She stopped what she was doing and went three isles over and returned with the exact product I needed. She asked me if I needed any help finding additional products. I was totally blown away with how kind and considerate she was. Kathryn is definitely an asset to your company.
Ordered a photo panel online 3 days ago in store the panel only the photo was ready it wasnt on the panel and the manger wanted me to wait another hour before I can take it home it when she finally put it on the panel she just put on the glue without putting it through the rolling machine and the whole panel is ruined now and my girlfriend was very upset with her birthday gift now
If there is option for zero star, I would put no star for this CVS. The pharmacy staff are really rude and they dont what is called for the service. I called few times regarding the status of my prescriptions and their service never got better. I am definitely going to change my pharmacy.
WORST Pharmacy ever. every month issues with my childs prescription infant formula. 2 weeks ago was told can no longer order or carry this formula, was told VERY coldly its not their issue and to find another pharmacy to fill it. I did, and then they were rude about transferring the prescription to another pharmacy. my child has allergies and needs special formula. i will never go back here. and after 2 weeks of them claiming to not be able to order it or fill the RX, my husband was told that they can fill it in the next few days. NO THANKS!
PHARMACIST ALMOST KILLED ME.On Friday December 13th I picked up a pain medication prescription for two broken toes, my pharmacist failed to mention that my anxiety medication interacts majorly with opioids. As a result I ended up in the ER with serotonin syndrome.Someone should lose their pharmaceutical license for malpractice.
This place is a joke. I called to speak to a pharmacist to ask about drug interactions bc I have the flu. They put you on hold FOREVER, and don’t pick up ever so they wind up closing. I’ll be sure to never go to this place. Thanks for the help, NOT!
The pharmacy is awful!!! They are rude on the phone and rush you off even if you have questions. Not very caring about what the customers need just concerned with filling a million scripts!! Your just a number!!! I have also been given the wrong medications by then that could have killed me!!!!
If I could have given zero stars, I wouldve. I hope someone from the pharmacy staff sees this and recognizes my name, yall are so rude, short tempered and genuinely miserable to interact with. I logged into my Google account to write this bad review because you guys suck that much.
I was there round 1:35 pm, no busy time, even that customers they give poor service, I guess they need more trainingSo far I am thinking going back to that placeI think cvs they don’t care about customers really because they already making good moneys with prescriptions
This store has lost 10 of my prescriptions. ones I keep sending in because they lost the other. Ive been going to this store for my prescriptions since 2010. I never had a problem with the pharmacy till now. Everything else about this store is fine. Everyone is friendly and helps you but the pharmacy. Ive had to wait in the store hours for them to rectify their mistakes and they blame it all on me anyway. Im so pissed off at them. These are prescriptions I need to function everyday and they treat me as if Im some needy kid who wants candy. If youre reading this and had the same problem, make sure to email or call the main customer service line!
Great local CVS pharmacy, health and beauty store
This pharmacy told me theyre waiting for insurance approval on one of three of my prescriptions. The next day they tell me theyre still waiting for the approval.. The third day they tell me it never existed and I need to call my doctor to have him resend the script, and it was a Friday of a holiday weekend!!!On top of that they were rude and unapologetic. Ive been going to the West Isip store for decades and many others spending lots of money. Well no more. The Commack store is by far the worse pharmacy Ive ever been to.
When I first started going here a few years ago, because it is very close to my place of work, it annoyed me that whenever I walked in someone asked if I needed assistance, it was always busy, and had long lines. This week I get a prescription sent in on Wednesday mid afternoon, go in on Thursday morning and it is not ready because they are backed up. So inconvenient and poor customer service because they dont even ask if youd like to be called when it is ready. I will be going out of my way to go to another pharmacy from now on.
While visiting the store this morning, I found a black BMW parked illegally obstructing two handicap spaces and the ramp zone of the store. I photographed the car with intent to show the store manager. As I entered the store, I was met by a woman, who asked if I had photographed her sons car, that she had just run in to see him quickly and began insisting I talk to her. I told her I had no interest in talking to her, yet she followed me throughout the store. At one point, she disappeared and returned with her phone, video taping me. I came to learn that the store manager is the womans son! Her behavior was abhorrent and her desire to incite an altercation was obvious. The manager of the store, unable to recluse himself from the situation which he was now personally involved, motioned to me as if he were going to hit me when his mother stepped up into me as I was paying for my items! This store is a joke, the staff is a joke, and CVS needs to consider the behavior of their representation here.
Update....My son cut his foot open on glass from a picture frame my daughter did not tell me broke and cleaned up herself. After going to get immediate medical attention, my husband needed to get my son motrin immediately because his foot had been bandaged up and he could not walk on it. My husband went to the drive thru and asked when he picked up the antibiotic if they could please get him motrin since we did not have it at home and my son could not walk on his foot. They flat out told him no! They said to order it and then come back and pick it up curbside and that it was now against their policy. There is policy and there is humanity. Can anybody use personal judgement and combine the two or is that no longer allowed?Old ReviewThis particular location is poorly managed and understaffed. Specific shelf items are often empty due to high volume and not replaced in a timely fashion. They are not trained when it comes to online photos although the prints do come out nice. The biggest issue is the pharmacy. Where or where do I begin:1. Prescriptions are often out of stock and they often blame the manufacturer. However, if I call Vanco Pharmacy they always have what CVS doesnt.2. Their prescription prices are higher than most.3. The insurance information they give is often not accurate.4. Prescriptions are often not filled on time.5. Once they have your phone number, they ring your phone several times a day requesting refills which is annoying.6. The staff are rude and condescending.7. The lines inside the store are very long at times and tempers run short. However, their drive thru is very convenient particularly in the winter with young children so that is the only reason I still get some prescriptions filled here.I will also say I have only had this experience at this location. The other locations in the area are managed properly with friendly staff members. With all of the negative reviews, I am not sure why they continue to remain open. When I voiced my concerns to management, management told me to call the corporate office because it is the corporate office who determines the level of staff and they have no control over what is going on. Interesting...
I just spoke to the pharmacist on the phone and was given an attitude and hung up on. I’ve been using this pharmacy since I was a child and honestly they’re the worst. Will be changing pharmacies as soon as possible, because being hung up on is so rude and uncalled for.
Open 24 hours. Always clean. Friendly staff
Easily one of the slowest stores I have ever had the displeasure of going to. Massively disorganised staff.
There is a tall red haired man in his mid 30s who works there and he was unbelievably rude and insensitive to me and couldnt just mind his own damn businsess. Never going back there again even if its an emergency.
Absolutely awful incompetent staff. Helped by staff member that obviously didn’t know what he was doing. Couldn’t follow simple instructions. Overall terrible experience DONT GO HERE
Fast friendly Service! This is the only pharmacy I go to.
This location always have what I whant.
Horrible, ive been on hold for 20 min and no one has picked up!!!does anyone even work here??? professional..i think not
Open 24 hours, alot of sale items.
Never had an issue here.
If I could give it zero stars, I would. Pharmacy staff is discriminatory and rude. Poorly trained, horrible customer service. Can never find my prescription
If I could have given zero stars I would have. HORRIBLE service! Avoid at all cost.
Pharmacy staff was extremely short and rude on the phone.
