I was so nervous about moving and making a final decision on which company I would choose!! After speaking with 13 different companies and revising the Estimates I decided to go with Suburban Relocation. Very happy I did! My move was from Colorado to Maryland and it was a overall an easy process. The Moving Consultant was magnificent and was really helpful with organizing my move. They seem to have lots of experience and provide expert advice.The Crew that came the day of the move were real pros in addition to being courteous and professional. They started on time and had a great systems for getting my items ready for loading on to the truck after wrapping and protecting them. I didnt wait long for my delivery and happy to report that I had no damages. I will be referring friends and family. I really like that they take into account the expenses Moving brings on and try to help you cut some corners. In my case that was really helpful since it didnt compromise the quality of service i received

AVOID!! My movers completely ignored the contract I signed when they dropped off my belongings. They pressured me into paying $150 into their personal bank accounts claiming “they had to climb 2 flights of stairs” when they did not climb any stairs and used an elevator. When I asked for them to charge my card they had on file they insisted I pay them personally.

Update: It has know been three weeks. THREE WEEKS and items have yet to arrive. All your staff has to say and the ‘dispatch’ will contact me. How can you people conduct business like this?It has been fifteen days so far Suburban Relocation. Where are my items? Why is no one calling me back?

Booking and arranging the move was seamless and easy. My liaison was charming and very helpful. The price we were quoted was the price we paid, and even when there was some confusion in Denver about additional costs for using an elevator, that was quickly and professionally resolved.The movers who came to pack our DC apartment were professional and packed our items quickly and efficiently. The movers who dropped our stuff off in Denver were also very professional and helped us put our furniture together. Also, they were good at letting us know a day in advance when they would arrive and they arrived within the window we were given. A couple of items had minor damage, but thats not so bad. All of our glassware and stemware was perfectly wrapped and taken care of. In DC, they even wrapped some things for me that I wanted to take crosscountry myself, which I appreciated. Which happens, of course with big cross country moves that have multiple moves per truck. Unfortunately Ive not been able to get any news on these items for well over two weeks. Ive emailed dispatch and they havent responded. Ive emailed my booking liaison and though she has responded she hasnt given me any solid answer except to reach out to dispatch. This lack of communication is frustrating and unprofessional.Furthermore, regarding the move itself, though I was told I would be reached out to when my stuff was loaded onto the van for shipment from DC to Denver, I did not receive any communication. When I reached out to ask, I was told to wait for dispatch to contact me. I did get a response the day before they arrived with the window in which they would arrive, and that was helpful. But for a few weeks I had no idea where my stuff was.I understand that with a crosscountry move that requires multiple drop offs, I cant be given an exact time or date my stuff will arrive weeks out. I also understand that things get misplaced sometimes. It isnt ideal, but mistakes happen. I get it. I do not understand why I was not able to be told whether my stuff was still in a warehouse or whether it was even on the road, and I dont understand why no one can reach out to to me to let me know anything at all about the stuff that is missing. What if we were missing more items? Important items? This lack of communication drops my rating down to two stars.

If I could give suburban 0 stars I would. I was given false information misled multiple times. I was told that my delivery would be 4-14 days and paid them over 1k to have my stuff delivered. It ended up taking 22 BUSINESS days which was over a month. No apology. I called and left them a message while waiting for my stuff to be delivered. The answering machine stated they would return the call in a day. They did not return my call. I called again. No return call. Much of this time I spent worried that my stuff had been lost. There was no way to track anything. I asked multiple times where my stuff was, and they did not answer me. The communication was so poor. Finally I got a hold of someone who told me it was 21 business days. Again--not apologetic. I had been mistaken, they tried to convince me. I shared this information with the person who had told me 4-14 days. They told me I would be compensated. Actually you have to go through a completely different and very convoluted process to get your money back. My thoughts are--unless you want to be waiting over a month for your stuff--when you paid for your stuff to be delivered within 4-14 days, Id go with another company.

I can not say enough about my experience with Suburban Relocation System. Nick came to my home, on time, with a very professional appearance and attitude. Nick gave me a very accurate quote, with no unexpected fees and no increase in price for any reason. The gentleman that packed my household goods were very professional, they were very respectful of my items, and had my house packed in a timely manner. I come from a military family and I have used military movers for 10 years, suburban relocation system showed me how real movers work. For the first time my items were not broken or tossed around like trash. I want to say thank you to Nick and his crew for a very pleasant moving experience. I have recommended them to all of my friends and I do the same to everyone looking for movers.

My interaction with Suburban was the worst experience I have had with a moving company and I have had eight prior moving interactions with other companies. To begin, we were lied to about when our items would be received for an interstate move. Because of this, we had to buy additional furniture to have a bed to sleep in for a week and a half. This was after sleeping on an air mattress in an empty house for a week before the new bed even arrived. The company openly admitted that I was given bad information and they fired the representative that had provided it to me. However, I was offered nothing for this mistake, not even an apology. Instead, I was told that I was wrong in my understanding, and it was not their fault.In addition to this initial mistake, they delivered some of my items to the wrong person and have still yet to recover my box after four and a half months. While dealing with trying to locate my box, I was directed to the insurance company they use, completed all the necessary paperwork, and have still heard nothing three and a half months later. This led me to flying back Maryland to meet with their manager, which was the worst experience of all. I was told there was nothing I could do to recover my items, that all the footage of the warehouse had been deleted after ten days, and if I went to the police to report a theft, they were protected by the governing laws over moving companies and the police couldn’t do anything. I was told that their warehouse contains misplaced items from the past TWENTY years that have never been delivered. Also, that they move over 1000 people at any given point and I was lucky to get as much of my stuff as I did. This manager told me at the end of our meeting that he would immediately follow up with the insurance company and see what else they could do to locate my items. This meeting was back in October and I have heard nothing from this manager.I urge you as a potential customer to not do business with these people. I made the mistake of trying to save money by going with the cheaper company and am paying the price. Spend a little more to go with a company that cares about your business and you as a person.

From start to finish Suburban Relocation Systems was awesome. Arrived when they said they would and were very careful of my furniture. The crew was helpful and pleasant. Checked everything was where I wanted the boxes placed. And, the final cost was under the estimated price! Never had that happen before. Hire them now!

Overall the experience was good. Really great moving service in all aspects. They were professional, incredibly organized, and everything was delivered on time and intact. Great! I had to move my mother long distance. I lived in Colorado and she lived in DC. Being so far away with a family I unfortunately could not help her pack and go through all her items. I was so scared thinking about her doing this on her own so I went online and started my search. I put my information on so many sites and received so many phone calls. One was from suburban relocation systems and that was the only company I actually saw online before they called. They had so many good reviews that I actually felt comfortable talking to them. They seemed more paranoid than me making sure I had an accurate inventory, anything that would require more fees like stairs or elevator. It made me feel so comfortable that they were so precise. I told them that my mother had a lot of items she wanted to throw away or donate and they said they would help her go through everything with her full pack.When they got there my mother called me. She was so happy with the crew that came. She felt that they really cared about her items and helped her get rid of so much. I was able to call the office and speak to the wonderful office staff about any questions or to track her delivery. Delivery came and I finally got to meet suburban relocation systems and I was so impressed. Everything packed so well, nothing damaged, and the crew was so kind. I am so happy I picked suburban relocation systems for this move and would gladly use them again.

On moving day, everything went smoother than we had imagined. The crew were very attentive and quick. Everything in the 3 bedroom house was in the truck and ready to go within a few hours. Once we got to the new condo, they helped set everything in its right place. We decided on this company because they were able to store all of our stuff while we floated around and decided where we wanted to land. We lived at 8500 feet on a 15% grade in the mountains of Colorado. Four guys showed up and were amazing! Organized, strong, cautious and friendly. Our stuff was stored for 7 months in Colorado. We finally decided to buy a house in Oregon. The guys arrived on time and did an excellent job of unloadingand placing everything where we wanted it. We had a 2000 Harley Road King on the truck and there was no ramp loaded. Oops! We were freaking out, but these guys managed to unload it off the truck with a moving blanket ramp they made. Crazy right? The 1000 pound bike made it without incident. In the end we had only a handful of broken items (we packed everything ourselves) and we had a ton of breakables in this move. That was impressive. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Everything was done on time, within the price boundaries I expected, and no piece of furniture or box ever touched a wall anywhere on the way out or on the way in. THEY ARE THE WORST. They up-charged me every step of the move they saw an opportunity only to deliver LESS THAN HALF my things at the very end of the delivery. The drivers stole the final payment and left without giving me the rest of my stuff.Bunch of crooks, horribly rude people.

They moved me across country. While they were quick to load, I would have preferred efficient. The majority of my items are still in my shed in Colorado. they loaded most of my parents stored items and delived them to my new home. At delivery,they tried to charge me more for delivery, were very unpleasant and unprofessional to deal with. They have poor customer service. I would not recommend this company. It was my first time using a moving company and I will not use one again. It was supposed to make moving easier and less stressful and these people did the opposite.

Awful.... broke and lost multiple things even though i spent extra money to have it packaged by them. The claims process is awful and I moved in April and YET to get my refund. Plus the refund is not even close to help me pay for the broken item OR pay for the packaging I paid extra for. Terrible experience

We recently moved from Denver to Texas. The Sales Rep almost called everyday before the move. Once we signed the contract, they whole scene changed. There was no response. When they delivered the items some of the items such as marble tables, stationary cycle were broken. The clothes dryer fell down while unloading. They sent 3 guys to pack, but sent just the driver and a slim guy to unload.VERY POOR CUSTOMER RESPONSE AND SERVICE. I do not hire them again and DO NOT recommend them. Totally UNHAPPY

These people loaded my things on June 7. 2018 for my move from Colorado to Oregon. Right on the contract, i wrote my delivery address. They asked for my e-mail and address and I sent it on the 18th of June. They already had it. It took them from June 7th until July 9th to deliver my goods. They put in their contract it would be 3 - 14 business days to delivery. I got the right mattress, head-board and foot-board but the wrong box springs and frame. Also broken things they packed. Never use them. I cant get answers from anyone.

Was cheap and the service was great.

They aggressively try to sell you more services, boxes, equipment, etc. upon pick up!! The mover then got irritated and defensive when I would not buying any of the extras he was strongly recommending! Jay, the office manager, had to call in and get involved. Jay did rectify the situation, however the pickup experience was horrible and I felt as though some bait and switch was taking place. Then, when my belongings were en route I called, emailed and left voicemails on 3 separate occasions and never got a response from the Denver office!! I would not recommend this company.

I tried getting a quote from them, decided not to use their overpriced services and now they wont stop harassing me.

The move was OK, however the movers broke the elevator in my new condo. Its was caught on video. SR never reimbursed my management! Too bad.
