New local black-owned fave! Ive resided in this area 3.5yrs and somehow missed the transition from Hoppin to this new spot. I usually go solo due to time/day and having not discovered new girlfriends in the area in a similar status and state of mind...divorced, kids, late 30s open to hang out weekdays after 930pm. I go here to watch the games and now they offer karaoke. Drink and hookah specials are competitive. No special drinks are $13 still great! Atmosphere has great vibes. Owners are down to Earth and their amazing staff are efficient. Ive missed the last 2 wks due to traveling however intend to be there at some point this week.

I went here a couple weeks ago. Not a large variety of coffee from what I was expecting, but a nice selection of cigars. Their bar is nice. They have a nice layout throughout the lounge including a bar, couches, a pool table, and an area for customer to work remotely if needed. I recommend it for anyone wanting to come by to check it out.Definitely add a little more variety to the coffee area such as a latte or espresso or another flavor since the title of the place has the word Bean referring to coffee. They already have coffee alcohol drinks, but to also attractive non alcohol smokers, I have few buddies who will love that. Plus this venue will definitely succeed with it unique variety that it has to offer 👍

The atmosphere here is very good I really like it. In the cigars are priced well. I ordered a side salad with grilled chicken and grilled shrimp. My waitress Corrina(misspelled probably) not intentional, was very low-key low energy, was not selling the menu. I specifically told her I was ALLERGIC to TOMATOES 🍅!!! She said OK. I get my salad and I am enjoying it and next thing I know I bite into a diced up tomato. I go to the bar and let her know and she says my bad. A very nice young waitress came over to make sure that I was OK, that wasn’t her place because I was not her customer, but I appreciate her effort and her concern asking me if I was OK. An EpiPen cost $500, this could’ve all been avoided had the waitress showed sincere interest in your customers. As a black business owner myself would be held accountable, because this could have been fatal. Then again management actually should’ve came and spoken to me. But that did not happen I waited around another 30 minutes, thank God I reacted quickly and I took care of the situation. But again there was no concerns from the staff except for the nice young lady I’m sorry I did not get her name but she has a pretty Afro puff with two braids in the front she was very nice. I am going to patronize this establishment again, because I support everything in all things black. But again management should’ve addressed the situation and did not. No I did not ask for a manager because I don’t think I should have had to, either the chef or the manager could’ve come and said I apologize but that did not happen. Corrina did come and apologize and comp my meal and I appreciated that and thank you and I will be back soon.

I frequent and support this local establishment on a regular since it is located within my community. I phoned in an order, arrived thirty minutes later. The bartender(curly hair) took my payment. After an additional fifteen minutes and watching her walked pass me on several occasions I asked what was the hold up/status of my order. She then advised me there was a large party in the back and they were fulfilling those orders. A common courtesy would have been to tell me upfront giving me the opportunity to decide if I wanted to wait for my order. The cook for the night was one of the owners. Someone from the party in the back also came up to the front to complain about the length it took for his order. He spoke with the manager and was advised there is only one fryer in the kitchen. The other patron was refunded his money and compensated with additional food(wings). I did not ask for any compensation, etc. An hour and ten minutes later my six wings(not even jumbo tonight for the first time ever) and fries were presented to me($14.98). Terrible customer service tonight! The owner could have provided additional food for the delay. Not a single word.. The bartender should have made me aware about the delay. Typically my girlfriends and I frequent this place for the wings, cocktails and cigars. No consideration for your local patrons. Huge wake up call tonight!! You try to support your peoples businesses and this is the gratitude I get.. Shame on me!!! Shame on you Zeus(owner)....

My lady in I have a wonderful time there service was good but it did take a longer than usual time for our food to be served. When we did get the food it was delicious 🔥🔥🔥 So for that I give 4 stars..

Chill spot, not very crowded, and mixed crowd. Waitress was very attentive & gave good suggestions. Food could be better, had to return chicken that was ordered. They have pool table and excellent seating throughout.

My first time. I opened the door, instant vibe change. Its a bar you can smoke cigars at, NOT A CIGAR BAR. Ill try again some day, football Sunday may have just not been the day to pick up a up-charged cigar an chill. Also bring your own cutter.

Hidden gem!I absolutely love this place. Karaoke. Drinks. Pool. GREAT food!I love this place and it’s black owned. My waiter LA is always super friendly and attentive when I come. The rest of the waiters only seem interested in male clients as they think men are the only clients who tip. SMH. They (other waiters) are slow and not attentive to details. General manager (light skin girl) wasn’t well trained and rude. Anyways had a good time.

No menu for cigars and theyre behind the counter to where you cant see them. They have very low inventory. Parking was also an issue. Sad they charge $10.00 to bring your own but they have almost none to choose from. Bartender not very knowledgeable on cigars so selecting some you cant see is difficult. Place needs work.

Planned to spend an evening at this establishment, got there and nobody served us or asked what we wanted for over 20 minutes. All servers/bartenders were on their phones. We ended up walking out and going to pippas across the street. Dont waste your time going there horrible customer service. I would give zero stars if I could.

I stopped to get some wings heading home with a out of town guest. I was greeted at the door by someone saying there was a cover charge of $10 this evening due to the Merriweather fight? I said, ok, well I just wanted to order some wings to go. I didn’t get a favorable response from the woman, but rather I received a blank stare, as if I was out of luck. Little did she know was while we waited for the wings, we would’ve ordered drinks. So no consideration for to-go orders or for people who had no clue there was a fight? Don’t try to make money that you loose it. This isn’t the first poor experience I’ve had, but tried again because it’s in the neighborhood, and friends frequent. But, I’m good.

They need a new ventilation system ASAP! I understand this is a Cigar Bar, but when I left my money in my pocketbook smelled like smoke! Unacceptable! BUT on a high note: customer service, drinks and the food was 👌!

Loved this place. First time was to See the Mayweather fight. Vibe was very chill and the DJ was playing everything! Enjoyed. I had a shrimp salad. Omg, it was soo good. The servers was so sweet as well; they checked on my table every time they walked past. Definitely will he back to this establishment.

Have visited here a few times and the place is great! The cigar selection is impeccable. I am a beginner smoker and had a lot of questions and the owner himself was very knowledgeable and helped me with a great pick. I moved on to the bar and the short hair bartender made me and amazing Manhattan. Once seated, the general manger made sure everything was satisfactory and had great vibes. The place was clean and I loved that I could play my own music. Very diverse crowd and they offer something for everyone. Also the food was amazing. Will for sure visit again.

A true gem of a shop. the owner is very welcoming and the staff, a true pleasure to interact with. enjoyed a dirty coffee at their suggestion and, in blind trusting of their recommendation, very enjoyable. knowing they hadnt been open long, I expected some growing pains à la being out of stock of cigars or a drink...only to discover they were out of pickles when I ordered them. lol. no loss of points there. I wanted to find something to be disappointed in..... I was disappointed in the fact that I had nothing to complain about. well worth the drive. I spent a good bit of time letting my friends know that other cigar shops may wanna take notes; this place will EASILY give them a run for the money. if youre in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. you wont regret it.

We went to this hidden gem for date night. They stop serving drinks at 11pm and that was disappointing bcs we only had like 10 minutes to order drinks. Other than that this was a cute comfy lil spot. I have never been to a cigar lounge so I cant speak on that but we smoked hookahs and watched the fight.

I visited Sticks&Beans the first week of August 2020. I was greeted with smiling faces immediately upon entering, and the place is clean. Hip hop music played in the background, a little loud. I like the music, but it won’t appeal to an older crowd. Big TV’s line the walls and the seating is great! Big, fluffy couches! It’s relatively small; I imagine it can get cramped on busy weekend evenings. But it has more space than some other local shops. As an avid cigar smoker who was looking for a new spot, I was surprised to find that their cigar selection, which is meager, was actually behind the counter, meaning you can’t approach it and look at cigars closely. You’re expected to sit at the bar and order from the shelf, the same concept as ordering a drink. For me, this is a turn-off. While I was there, two more separate customers came in and were also confused about how they should browse the selection. One gentleman even attempted to go behind the bar; he was abruptly stopped by staff. Definitely an odd way of presenting cigars to customers. Very awkward for most customers. It should also be noted that both of those customers asked for a recommendation on cigars based on what they generally like, a normal occurrence in cigar lounges. Staff was clueless. They had no idea how to assist the customer in choosing a cigar. I chose my cigar from their limited selection, and turned my attention to coffee. Turns out they didn’t have coffee, only two bottled cold brew options. No machines or brewers, nobody to make a macchiato. I didn’t spot a single “bean” anywhere. They informed me that they’re waiting on more equipment, so I can’t deduct too many points. But you’d think, since a coffee mug is part of their logo, that they’d have had the coffee ready to go before they opened to the public. They did have a good selection of whiskey and other liquors. They have some craft beer, but nothing exciting. The bartender was super pretty and had a great attitude. She checked on me 3 or 4 times over the duration of my visit. But I noticed that she was drinking alcohol on the job, which is highly unprofessional. I noticed a pool table in the back, which is a fun addition. Overall it’s a cool place. But, based on first impressions, there are much better places in the area for cigar enthusiasts to go. Sticks&Beans is not a cigar lounge, as they advertise to be. The vibe is hip, young and loud. Make no mistakes here, they are a BAR, plain and simple. They just happen to have a few cigars, and they might have coffee one day. When I thought “cigars and coffee” this is not what I had in mind. But if you’re in the mood for liquor, rap music and college basketball, you’re in the right spot.
