I love the fishing gear clothes and the shoes.

From the moment we walked in to the sporting goods department today, we actually felt welcomed. Kenneth was working the counter as we walked up, and was engaging, outgoing, and quite knowledgeable. He took the time to show myself and wife many models of what she was looking for. He was patient, kind, and very helpful. He was joined by another associate (didnt get his name) who helped complete the sale. Both of them were courteous and super helpful. We left the store with a super friendly cashier, who was friendly and smiling! GREAT experience here and will be back soon. Thanks Academy Sports! Job well done!

Good grief, so slow at the checkout, only 2 lines open with 30 people waiting. So tired of people not working. Go back to work you slackers so stores can open more lines so grumpy old men like me can get out and on with their day.

The wrestling shoe selection was limited. I ended up ordering shoes online but misjudged the shoe size. The store would not let me return the shoes because I did not have the postcard. I thought the packing sheet was sufficient but I guess not. Im giving it 3 stars because the shoe department service and another personnel was very helpful. Just not the person at the register.

What happened to customer service. My wife was trying to find our son a pair of shoes and asked for help the associate told her to call another store and walked away. It use to be that an associate would be willing to help but I guess thats not taught anymore. Goodbye Concord stores.

Placed my order online within 2 or 3 hours they texted me to say my order was ready and when I got there I was greeted by friendly staff I got my order and was out in a very reasonable amount of time

I love to shop at this store for our sporting needs. They always have what I need and when they have sales their prices are the best. We recently bought a workout bench, weights and a punching bag. My husband doesn’t want to work out at the gym. Our entire family workout now so we needed more than one machine. We bought games, sneakers and clothing as well. Found a great bathing suit for under $30 last year. Definitely recommend shopping here.

They are fully open after COVID! Great inventory. Love their Magellan store brand! Great pop up awnings for sports, lots of camping stuff, big outdoor shoe and hiking boot collection. Its hard NOT to find something you like.

I picked 2 items that had a price tag on it of a $1.50 when i got to the regisrer, it rang up 10.99.I questioned the price and the girl said thats the wrong price, and took the 1.50 off .I asked if the manager would honor the price marked, ans she ignored me.I asked again and she said mo.I was floorwd so i asked again to speak to a manager,she said have a nice day is all im going to say. Wow....

Probably one of the best places to go for footwear, sporting goods, clothes for leisure and activity and fan wear. Store is laid out and labeled well to find what you are looking for. Great selection of shoes from casual to sports to work wear shoes. Many great deals in various departments as well as clearance items.

I really enjoyed my visit here. The store is a good size and has everything you can think of sports and outdoor related. Prices weren’t too bad and they had a TON of clearance items.

They are really friendly here but find it hard to find what Im looking for. Deliveries are made on Th/Thrs and Sunday but its hard to get certain things. Seems like the world is stocking up. The manager is pretty fair most of the time you can only get 2 boxes of the item Im in need of and if your not in line early before they open by a quarter after its too late. So get there 30-45 early.

Prices are good generally, but service is terrible. I have been there twice this week. Each time the employee that I dealt with acted as if helping me was the very last thing they wanted to do.

I went there the other day to buy a tank, but they failed to tell me they were empty and didn’t have the air in it. When I called on the phone the guy told me I could return it and get my money back. The cashier Alexis “Lexi” was very rude and dismissive and I told her The man on phone told me to come back in, she just rolls her eyes and looks the other way like she couldn’t hear me. Then when asked why don’t they inform the customers there’s no air they said they didn’t know why, and I asked where to get air and they said they don’t know. After I signed for the return Lexi looks at me with attitude and says “is there something else you need” She was very rude and very unprofessional!!! They lost my business

Its been awhile since I lasted shopped there. Still clea, helpful employees and prices are still very good.

My family and I have been to this location on 3 occasions and each time proved to validate my initial experience. It appeared to be a fully staffed store while businesses everywhere have help wanted signs and yet not a single person asked us if we need help on any of those three visits and on each one we did need help. I would give one star but the return process did not prove to be a headache.

Was so easy to get BTS shipping done. They had all the sizes and we were in and out in no time.

Staff was mostly helpful and friendly. Some customers not wearing masks.

Customer service is always great some of the cheapest guns in town.

Mixed feelings about this place. Didnt charge the sales price, charged full price. Had to take the bike back the next day. They credited me for sale price and tightened up the bike no questions asked. Bike guy is a talker. Trying to up sell. Just doing what he was instructed to do Im sure. Look we know helmets save lives and personalities but if we say were not getting one stopping telling us stories about how we should. All the stories is probably why I had to take the bike back to get the handlebars tightened. No veteran discount, only on holidays.

I went to purchase a pool. I have yet to put it up. But I feel its a good investment.

Sports, Outdoors, Fishing, Hunting, Running, Anything you can imagine that involves activity, Academys got it. I always got what I was looking for, and got great service. I was looking for a good bike helmet, I found one, I looked for good new shoes, I got a pair that fit perfectly. It is an awesome place!

Nothing special to say about this place. Seems to always have product in stock on website but not in store, and the associates just say yeah we probably dont have it. Cant say I will be visiting again any time soon.

Loved academy before the pandemic. Was looking for ammo just like everyone else. As we were asking about it, the guy behind the counter mentions to a few of us that he has some that he is willing to sell and he gave out his personal number. My guess is working there he just buys it then sells it on the side for Mark up right when it comes off the truck. Not very professional.

Picked up a baseball glove, ball and bat for the boy. Great place for sports equipment.

Cool selection of sporting goods. Staff didnt seem very interested in selling any of it me - too busy blowing leaves in the parking lot and talking amongst themselves to notice I wanted to buy a new bike. Had to flag someone down twice and wait for 10 minutes before I received help from anyone. Ill probably go out of my way to avoid this kind of experience next time.

I went to purchase football cleats and pants for my son. The selection for men cleats was horrible, with only two options that were overpriced. The pants was a better selection but no large options in black or white. Definitely not a great trip to Academy Sports.

I find it very interesting that we endured the same treatment as another customer on here. Customer service was absolutely awful!! Was very eager to help others but for some reason we did not get the same eagerness when it was our turn for help. Like the other rating I can only speculate why our treatment was different. With this type of treatment I am sure Channel 9 News would love to do a seigment on the difference of treatment at this location. All money spends the same!! But with this type of treatment I will say DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!! Unfortunately it seems that some people still like judging the book by the cover.

Clean store, good prices. Academy Sports has found a way to thrive in the area where other sports stores have failed. Additionally, they have not succumbed to political correctness and virtue signaling. This allows law-abiding folks the ability to purchase firearms and ammunition. The prices are good and they are able to provide products over the entire sporting goods spectrum. In the past, I have purchased clothing for great prices, a meat slicer, and more. It’s a good store. I just go early to avoid the crazy traffic at Concord Mills.

I went in today to buy a new hunting rifle. Website said they had 1 in stock. When I got to the back counter I asked the young guy for the specific Savage model I was looking for. Without even turning around to look he said they didnt have it. I asked about the 4 or 5 on the display rack behind him and the 10 or so boxes in the cage below the rack. He pulled 2 out said they werent the caliber I asked about and then walked off and helped another customer that had walked up. I stood around for a few minutes and noticed he was very helpful with those customers. Needless to say I was very put off by this. I will never go back to this location again. I can only speculate why he treated me differently then the other customers but Ill just leave that alone.

Not even worth one star - Had the worst customer service experience we have ever had ANYWHERE. Will never shop there again. We tried three separate times to get help on an item $500 plus and they all acted like it was a bother to assist us. They ignored us and started helping other customers that were waiting after us and sold them them the last of the item. We called the Kannapolis and Gastonia locations for the item when it seemed like it was a lost cause at the Concord location and they acted like they were too busy to help us too. When I would get ahold of someone they transferred me to someone else that would never answer the phone. Seems like an issue through out the entire company.

Its a large, clean store. Organized. Their was plenty of staff and they had my paintball supplies and CO2 tanks I had trouble locating at other porting goods store.
